A quick question for all, I'm interested to hear your thoughts.
At the beginning of the season, I mentioned how good it was to see so many different goal scorers within the team!
However, as the season dragged on we only really had the regular 3/ 4 names scoring ????
What actually changed?

Agree1 Disagree0

You were wrong as was Ani

Other posters said there was not enough goalscoring players in team . and proved correct.

My concern is lack of movement on and off the ball, we seem to be sometimes to slow on the counter, Rutters form dropping off was a big problem for us and the lack of options off the bench.

Lack of goals from set pieces a big problem as well, especially when strujk got injured.

We seem to only have one route to goal.

Despite many issues and problems in the team we still got 90 points. We still got to play off final, for me we exceeded pre season expectations.

Farke has to address some issues next season, there no doubt about it.

Hahahaha! It’s laughable, isn't it! ?????
Yep Leeroy, there did seem to be sufficient variety of scorers, and scoring potential. You would normally expect a couple each from the likes of the CB pairing, and maybe from the DF pairing, and Bill normally contributed 3 or 4 as well from RB.

In answer to the 'actual question':
1. Rodon has a 50 pence head akin to Dubes.

2. Archie was playing out of position, so probably told to concentrate on defensive duties.

3. Amps notched, but in the cup rather than League.

4. Gruev and Kamara, I dare say we’re told to present opportunities to the more goal centric players and focus on defence protection

5. the CF position was a big issue in our final goals scored tally, which in a perfect world would have been closer to the 90 mark.

81 goals scored, gd +38 would suggest no problem in the scheme of things tho.
A high scoring CF would have prevented the glare now being shone on non scoring players by a clear minority of “followers”.

Not in the early stages Baz.
You even agreed with me back in October time!

No Leeroy
Right after transger window closed end of August I stated on here several times it would be an issue

Ipswich had goalscorers in all positions plus many goals from their subs.

Leeds scored only a few from their subs.

Ipswich are in EPL . Leeds aren't . end of.

Looking at our early season championship results.
We had Piroe, Summerville, Gnonto and James scoring, along with goals from Gruev/ Anthony/ Byram/ Cooper/ Ayling and Struijk
The replacements obviously weren't as good as who we already had ??.

Spot on Brighty. 98 goals suggests we were ok in that dept. We played with 4 up front and it was their responsibility to score in the system we played. Some people just don't have any idea how tactics and a system work ?.

All 3 teams promoted scored more than Leeds in league Cuppa .

29 May 2024 14:24:01
And our goal difference was second best, so your point is moot Baz.

29 May 2024 14:46:01
In our most important game of the season with the exception of Dan James not one Leeds player looked like scoring.

Scoring goals in quite a few games became an issue for Leeds esp back end of season . without question

Leeds were over reliant on certain players to score with too many others in team/ squad NOT chipping in with vital goal (s)

. its definitely a significant reason Leeds remain in Champo.

29 May 2024 16:02:28
Not going to argue with that Baz. As I’ve stated elsewhere, that situation looked all the more glaring without a confident and effective 9 getting 20+ goals this season.

The problems we had were related to breaking teams down - not because we didn't have goal scorers. We didn't make enough chances in certain games including the final.
