Surprising turn of events this morning.
Leeds have apparently rejected the Brentford bid that would have made Archie the most expensive English teenager ever.
Looks like there may be more bidders.
Let's see what happens from here!

It might not be Brentford Dill, but personally I think he will be going somewhere, maybe Tottenham with Roden coming this way as a make weight. If they throw Skipp in as well as a big amount of cash the deal might just be a good one for us.

Think £40m is a great deal but if we can get better then why not. Really good business if we get a makeweight plus cash and a SoC.

Dill Wondering did Archie travel to London to complete the medical portion? Think this may have been the reason it was originally reported that we'd accepted the bid.

Like I suggested earlier, there are terms to be agreed within any fee. A sell on, or sale back will have been integral to any deal for us I would guess, plus perhaps a relegation clause for Archie himself. Also, I’m sure we will want the base payment of £35m upfront or before the end of this transfer window to enable an immediate reinvestment with no P&L knock on effects. Now all other clubs will be aware that we are no longer sales pushovers, which is great news!
