It costs nothing to be decent, fair and polite to people. But it does earn respect and friends. It is beyond doubt that MC doesn't operate like this and hence the response from the footballing industry and many fans, not just LUFC fans. It is the right-thing for SE, the fans and the Club to know where they stand asap so that we can all move forward.

Where is our Ranieri, MC? Why would you not go for a coach/ manager of top-level pedigree, with a lot of experience, who is intelligent, articulate and hungry to succeed! Come on. well time to get it right!

You get what you can afford mourinio is available.

2.) 03 May 2016 05:41:52
poor post what has ranieri ever won? prefer se.

3.) 03 May 2016 11:12:30
As Wex said "You get what you can afford" and therefore we have to try to find head coaches in their infancy who can be a future Mourinho. We are not in the market to find the finished article. If who Cellino is looking at is no better than Evans then he should stick with him, however I suspect Ranieri has won far more in his career than Steve Evans.

4.) 03 May 2016 12:31:49
what idiot disagreed with my post? Steve Evans got rotherham promoted from league 1, when did renairi even get a team promoted from league one? old fat man also has won many a pie eating contest unlike old tin ribs raneiri. old tinkerman has come second but never got his team first passed the line and at his age I doubt he ever will.

5.) 03 May 2016 13:19:26
BW, I did because you are talking nonsense again!

6.) 03 May 2016 13:53:05
me nonsense, never, you have offended my honor you scoundrel and for this we fight at dawn! I shall see you in the centre of of Notts city centre where we shall duel to the death, you get to pick the weapon of choice from pistols (with out the bullets) , lead pipping (or any other cludo weapons) or spoons. talk nonsese I have never heard such rubbish in my life.

7.) 03 May 2016 17:54:28
no reply notts has lead me to believe you are either running scared or pratcing your spoon fighting skills. Either way you shall regret saying I talk nonsense, also I do not know notts very well, can you point me to the local spoons and maybe reconise a nice place to eat, somewhere not too pricey but that has a nice amboince.

Assuming MC is still LUFC's owner come next season, IF Big Steve has to go (and I find it hard not to think so) then wouldn't it be best to get shot now so the new manager has a few games to assess the players and get organised for next season? My fear would be insufficient time for the new manager to get sorted and the prospect of yet another random season, no-doubt with MC selling-off another quality youngster or two and weakening the team once again.

Your post assumes a quality manager is at the forefront of our owner's mind.

2.) 03 Apr 2016 14:34:08
We simply have to build from the top so a quality manager, not an 'also-ran', is a must. Let's face it you tend to get what you pay for - pay peanuts and you'll get monkeys (and we've had plenty of them) . Where's our Ranieri! If MC can't, or doesn't want to, do this properly then he owes it to the Club and the fans to find someone who does.

Couldn't agree more but I don't believe there is such a person. Such a person will require liquid cash of quarter a billion pounds and have genuine care for Leeds.

4.) 03 Apr 2016 15:07:45
Yorkshire is a wealthy county - i'm sure there are some billionaires! Just wish I was one of them. To make the above points further, how about the following for quality management at Leicester City. to celebrate Mr Strivaddhanaprabha's birthday each ticket holder can receive a complimentary bottle of beer or bottled water and a doughnut from collection points outside the stadium. Susan Whelan, club's chief executive, said "There are many special bonds that exist at our football club - between the players, the staff, the owners and the fans - and that's been vital to the incredible season we've had, " Ms Whelan said.

A quick check of the 2015 Rich List in a well-known newspaper does not reveal billionaires in Yorkshire! Parkin good as it gets.

6.) 03 Apr 2016 19:49:32
Cellino will be our owner at the start of next season. It will take someone with intelligence at least 3 months to get their heads through our books and understand who's owed what. This is a massive pre - season and if our owner fails to come up with the goods he will, like us be in for a long season.

7.) 03 Apr 2016 20:40:02
a billionaire who invests in leeds would not be a billionaire for long, too much debt and not enough support and money generated, if buying leeds as a good idea one of these smart rich men would of done so by now, lucky for us mC is run by passion and not smarts otherwise we would all be in touble.

Obviously it's not looking good for Evans. BUT, if he does get the boot, the problem must surely be with MC's recruitment process and selection. Shouldn't he be sacked for this abysmal track record just as much as the coaches/ managers/ players themselves? It is SO clear MC's selections are not working.

Let's hope the season ticket promise is worth the paper it is written on. Why would anyone in their right mind make this promise (if it is legal) and consider appointing unproven coaches/ managers! Our beloved MC is in a world of his own.

Barely a word he says can be believed. But, just maybe, one day his utterings are true. COME ON!

Good old MC! In fairness I think he claimed the Italian system was 'different' and that this would happen. After all, we know he (and his sons) are "as pure as the white driven snow".

I couldn't agree more. I wonder how he justifies to himself, family and colleagues his behaviour/ decision making and the consequent huge financial costs and reputational damage to the club. A major embarrassment as a minimum if not an utter disgrace.

"Couldn't happen to a nicer chap" (as they say) .

And just imagine what the FA may do with Cellino Snr with losing the court case and damming comments from the judge! A reputation to be proud of.

Could the end be nigh for the Cellino era?
