So who are we thinking for captain? Does it have to be Pontus ? I know who I'd choose but don't wanna upset BW. Actually no he's a bit too quiet on second thoughts. It's Pontus for me !

IMO a skipper needs to be someone who play regularly in CM or CB position. CM, not sure who'll be first choice this season. So I'd say Pontus. He's got passion, pride and will lead by example. Maybe it may calm him down and cut out his silly petulant bookings?

Agree Lucas, normally like it to be a CB myself and if we had kept hold of Bartley it would be a no brainer. That said we didn't and Jansson has a little too much passion to keep the cool head he would need, Green has the calm, experience and vocality to pull it off from the back. Other option, I mean nobody mentioned him but Wood? he is the captain of NZ.

Correct speedyg. I see much rotation in the midfield leaving Ayling or Pontus only sensible choices imo. I chose Ayling because he is a very consistent performer and goes about his job in a quiet way. We could use that reliability in the captaincy and just let Pontus do his thing.
