Having just heard SE's post match comments about Chris wood I feel his support is admiral but at this moment mistimed. It pains me to say as a previous supporter of Chris wood he is bringing nothing to our team performance, whether we buy in January or use Doukara as a number 9 they would win more headers, bring more players into play and hold the ball up better as at the moment in time wood does none of these things. A spell as a 10-15 minute sub at the end of a game may help restore his obviously shattered confidence.

We were easily the better team today and I thought we played really good football for most of the game. Their goal was a joke and should not have happened. Still we kept on playing football and got our reward ( perhaps we should have had more) . On the negative side I have to now start agreeing that Wood is a problem for us. Taylor got himself ( with good passes from team mates) into great positions today to deliver great crosses. But time after time Wood goes to the far post behind the defenders. He has to learn that the near post is easier for wingers and more dangerous for the opposition.

Taylor got into great positions, but his crosses, were to no one! He needs to improve vastly with his final ball!

In another sorry week for our club where the manager and chairman have hopelessly misread the dreams and enjoyment of the fans, where will it all end. If Cellino really wants to hurt sky a better way would surely have been to reduce to 2000 or even refuse any allocation for away games involving Leeds United on sky. What sky hate most is putting on events with row upon row of empty seats or to half empty stadiums. Why would reducing a potential sold out 7000 allocation at for instance Blackburn Rovers when the game possibly isn't even on sky. This example would send no message what so ever to sky but just prevent 5000 Leeds supporters from watching their beloved team. Our away following is the one true positive of our club at the moment, how can a chairman so misread this situation is beyond belief. As a regular away follower these games always produce good memories be it the atmosphere in the pub before the game or the half time singing at MK Dons or on the pitch 3 points at Derby. Cellino is wrong with this and the consequences could be far more reaching than he realises.

Good post. His real own goal is by stating "we must vote with our feet". Hope our home form dramatically improves otherwise we might just take his advice and vote with our feet.

Despite being in Florida for first 3 games of the season and having followed all 3 games on Phil Hay twitter, even from right over here I can feel a certain vibe doubting Chris Wood already. Please let's not go down the same line as Leeds fans have over the years with various players. The majority of us have Leeds United chosen for us, where as Chris Wood chose us. 2 games does not constitute a crisis at any level of football. Remember Mark Viduka didn't score his first Leeds goal till back end of September and what a legend he turned out to be, best number 9 I've ever witnessed at Elland Road since 1975. Where Wood suffers is a killer ball merchant from midfield and where as I like and rate all our midfield players individually, there is no killer ball merchant amongst them, a midfielder capable of opening up a tight defence is paramount, similar to a Wes Hoolahan/Alex Pritchard type player would bring out the best of any attack. Keep the faith all, can't wait to be back at ER Saturday! MOT

Good post

Wlood not at fault, midfield too slow at getting forward. Need to be putting baĺl through quicker and getting up to support. Confident we will get there new system takes a few games to get sorted. The fact we are unbeaten while we are getting used to it bodes well.

I agree BIGE. I don't know why a lot of fans are so impatient. We're two games into the season in a very difficult first month playing a new system with new players. I for one am satisfied with two points from first two games. In hindsight, we should have beaten Burnley but this team will get better and at least we haven't been beaten yet.

I think we'll get stronger as the season progresses and will definitely be top 10. I don't know what Mr Untouchables would have to say about that?, You can change your log Jeff, but your silly posts are a dead giveaway.

On holiday atm so couldn't make Elland road next best thing sat in a bar in 90 degrees with two tellies, one Leeds vs Middlesbrough and the other vs Swansea. Doesn't come much better with them two results, bliss. Keep it up boys back for Brighton on Tuesday! MOT!

Check out the picture of the Millwall fans at Birmingham in the week, barely 200. What's their excuse for that? Too far? No available service station close enough to Birmingham to collect tickets? Or maybe it's just the fact they're a small club in a tiny suburb in London. Hope the WYP don't cost us a points deduction when the FL get hold of us.
