Yorkshire Pirlo is staying. Best bit of non transfer news yet. Huge sigh of relief and optimistic that our beloved club are showing some real ambition.

ALAW!

Ross McCormack has reportedly been suspended by Melbourne City. The fly tipping, badge kissing sweaty sock, who is currently on loan at the Australian A-League side, was a surprise exclusion from Melbourne's squad for their match against Brisbane Roar last week. McCormack is alleged to have arrived late to training ahead of the match and was subsequently left out of the squad. Trouble with his electronic gates again I wonder? MM

3.) 22 Nov 2017 14:40:20
Almost MM. Moreover, it isn't the hemisphere he fell in love with.

The fly tipping badge kissing sweaty sock who you have never managed to replace since he left lol oh wait you have lasogga the energetic athletic teamplayer lmao

6.) 24 Nov 2017 13:43:09
What do you mean we haven't managed to replace Sawd? there are loads of overweight fly-tippers in Leeds. Not as many as in North London granted, but still plenty to fill McBadgekisser's shoes.

Hey Lucas, don't be bitter, just because you bet on about fifty different managers lol! On my holibobs tomorrow, so when I'm back I hope we've signed 10 more midfielders on four year contracts and NO more friggin defenders! See you all soon losers x DTP UTW MM

7.) 13 Jul 2017 19:46:21
have fun MM and don't neglect those pints - or the missus.

8.) 13 Jul 2017 23:55:18
They don't call him MM SurvivorJeff for nothing. What's your next prediction MM SurvivorJeff? An incoming transfer of a central defender whose first name will include letters from the alphabet?

9.) 14 Jul 2017 00:45:30
Enjoy mick I'll keep your sister in law warm for you ;)

11 Jul 2017 21:36:00
Caleb Ekuban signed for an undisclosed fee. I hate undisclosed fees, why can't they tell us. Anyhoo, I phoned my old mate Jeff and he assures me the fee was £18m with add-ons and if Jeff says it, you got to believe it! Must say I'm liking these four year deals, much better than one year loan with a view to a permanent. Shows faith in the player and the fact we're building for the future. Alioski almost done too - hope he can play centre half! Down The Pints, Up The Whites. MM

Mad Mick

1.) 11 Jul 2017 21:52:51
Couldn't agree more on many fronts, Mick. Hate undisclosed, means people can bitch about him being cheap. Love a 4 yr contract for a 23 yr old, because it means that there's been some serious scouting, and a few have seen some serious potential! Pints downing.

2.) 11 Jul 2017 23:40:28
Was touted as a low risk punt of about £450k when first linked, obviously don't know what we actually paid but it might not be far off after spending 7 years at Verona without a Lg game. Low price big sell on clause maybe.

3.) 12 Jul 2017 09:52:39
Howson to the smoggies was "undisclosed" and I bet he didn't come cheap!

4.) 12 Jul 2017 10:58:25
Ekuban seems to be Christiansen's choice, what with him being on APOEL radar. Christiansen was a striker and sees something in him. Could work out. Might not but, the same is true of all the new signings.

Hello all old and newbies,
What a feckin season eh? First the virus and old Micky can't sniff his sister in laws kecks on the washing line (social perving) , then my youngest gets into Leeds Uni and Mick gets to every game (happy days) . Massive lay off and then hello, Super Leeds decide this year we're going to prove all the ball bags and busy bees wrong. We are now too good for you noncies and back where we belong, so let's get wonkered this weekend and smash Rooney and his granny bird (even Mick wouldn't) and take the championship Sunday league style. Sithi.

1.) 18 Jul 2020 06:18:14
Well said Mick - up the whites and all that :)

23 Feb 2020 08:56:08
Didn't see any of you 'orrible lot yesterday in the Scabby Arms, but met a load of piss heads from Norway on a football tour. Unfortunately for them they're going to the theatre of prawn sandwiches tomorrow, but I hope that doesn't ruin their weekend too much.

Ground out another decent win yesterday. We weren't as convincing as Bristol in my opinion, but a win is a win and Reading didn't pose much threat apart from a few good counter attacks, but with no end product.

Our play was sloppy in the first half, but we tended to overplay/ pick the wrong pass/ overhit the final ball, but the conditions first half playing into the wind weren't really helping. We are used to teams coming to ER, sitting very deep and playing on the counter.

Reading had a decent game plan to be fair to them but we stuck with it, didn't panic and got a deserved win. Great to see the Yorkshire Pirlo back to his best with couple of great crunching tackles flying in. Pleased his injury is not serious as he's irreplaceable in his position. Onwards!

Up the Whites. you know the rest!

Greetings old posters and newbies, thought I'd check in to see how you all are. After the last couple of games (and other teams wobbling) I'm a little more optimistic about our chances again this season. I was sat in the Kop on Saturday and we absolutely battered a team that had won five from their previous six.

I honestly don't think they ventured into our own half in the first 45 mins and had only one sniff in the second half which was covered in any case. Hopefully this is the return of our form and we should now be treating every game like a cup final. With our run in compared to teams around us, we are back in the driving seat. If anyone fancies a pint of 'wife beater' with old Mick on Saturday, I'll be in the Scarborough from 12.00 in my brand new 100 years shell suit (it's a beaut) .

Please don't mention the sister in law if you speak to me especially if I'm stood next to someone who's about 4'11" and got a tache (looks a bit like Yoda) as that'll be Mrs Mick.
Enjoy the rest of the season girls and boys. Down the Pints and Up the Whites!

Mick x.

09 Aug 2019 09:11:30
I was thinking yesterday whilst we were all anxiously waiting for 5pm and Yorkshire Pirlo to be sold, "why hasn't anyone bid for Pablo Escobaar? " After all, age beside, he is undoubtedly our best player and up there as one of the most gifted players in the Championship. Then the very same day Radz reveals that bids totalling £35m have been rejected for key players including Pablo. I just wonder which team bid for him and what sort of fee he would attract. One one hand, he's the best player in the league, a total top bins scoring megs machine, on the other hand he's realistically only got a couple of seasons in him at this level (more I hope) so not exactly one for the future. Can't imaging he's a Neil Warlock kind of player so I just wonder where the bid came from?

Any ideas?

1.) 09 Aug 2019 10:35:54
MM Barnsleeds? They seem to have cash. Wouldn't surprise me if it was Canaries or Blades.

2.) 09 Aug 2019 11:07:40
Defo a bottom half PL club. He wouldn’t go to another club in the division for sure. Bids for Pirlo and Ayling also rejected, so from a perspective, you could say it’s been an excellent window!

3.) 09 Aug 2019 10:08:42
Hence my Kinnear is fibbing post.

4.) 09 Aug 2019 11:59:32
Wex, you have just clarified which of my ex wives you are. I now now its you, Sheryl. No one else on the planet is that cynical and withers on as much. I know you are still bitter and twisted about losing me, who wouldn't be, you're only human, but please change to Bitterexwivesbanter.com instead of taking out your bitterness towards me out on the superb hierarchy at my beloved LUFC. Below the belt woman, below the belt.

I view Agnes as a typical estate agent. You know when he's lying because his lips will move. I take everything he says with a large dose of Sodium Chloride. The person who has earned more of my respect as time has passed is Orta.

Eddie Nketiah to Leeds move suffers breakdown!

Eddie Nketiah has been stuck in traffic on the A1 due to an accident at junction whatever. Police are on the scene and traffic is now flowing again. Nketiah is due in Leeds any time soon in what might go down in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest ever journey recorded from North London to Leeds. F**k me, we've been waiting all day for this!

I think Dallas has started the season well to be fair to him. It's a long season and Bielsa won't be afraid to throw any of the youngsters into the mix when needed. Hopefully we'll stay in the cups long enough to give some of the youngsters plenty of game time so they've ready when needed.

Completely agree Ox. Add Pablo to that mix of players. Surely if Radz was milking the club at least one of these would've gone. I think they've achieved in this window exactly what they set out to achieve. Trouble makers gone, squad trimmed of players who weren't going to be involved (with FFP in mind) , only quality added and money in the bank. Can't for the life of me agree with the negativity although everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but I'd suggest that we all look at the bigger picture. We have a better squad and are well equipped for promotion with money in the bank if we have to buy a couple of new players in January for the run in.

He got outed by a few on here for being a fraud if memory serves me correct. Thought he might come back re-invented again as Dire Straits, Talking Heads (or s**t) more like or some other 80s themed pop band.

Could do Alf, but I think the team are handling the pressure of expectation at home games very well at the moment and it's more of a bonus playing at home than a hindrance. We're always worth a goal or an assist!

Playing behind closed doors is inevitable now as governments will quite rightly say that the health of the population far outweighs the impact on finances. However, I've no doubt Sunday's game at Cardiff will go ahead, which would leave Leeds with five home games and only three away left to complete.

That would be the best scenario for the EFL and FA in the hope that we don't gain promotion. An empty stadium will be a great leveller and our home advantage could be crucial at this stage in the season.

I was in there before and after the match DJ73, bit worse for wear though. Ended up on the late train back to Lincoln and fell asleep and the bread knife left me there asleep. I was woke up on an empty train by guard who sent me home in a taxi! Good day out though, maybe see you next time if I get a ticket.
