IMO there are 3 people to blame for us not being in the top 2 at this stage. (Samu Saiz) , (whoever allowed him to leave) and (whoever cocked up the Daniel James transfer) .
I believe a fit, on form, committed Saiz would have gained us the few extra points needed. Someone should have told him to man up, remind his wife/ girlfriend he was a professional footballer when she met him and this is how it is.
Failing this I believe the signing of James would have gained us the extra points and impetus needed. ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜ .

Not sure on the Samu comment Dan but totally with you on the James situation.

2.) 23 Apr 2019 10:33:52
How often was Saiz fit and on form though? we should have binned him when he spat at the Newport lad. As for James, seems to me that it was Swansea's fault, I don't claim to know the ins and outs of it but if the lad was at ER and ready to sign but Swansea changed their mind what can you do?

3.) 23 Apr 2019 10:51:57
Saiz didnโ€™t fit! He was lucky to be around after the spitting incident and never repaid us for sticking by him. Look at what has happened to him at Getafe, hardly taken the opportunity he had so desperately wanted has he! On his day, talented player but too few days and I suspect always on his terms. When you compare Hernadez, the man with Saiz, you see the difference!

James ultimately didnโ€™t come because the Swansea Chairman ignored his owners instructions and then resigned before he was sacked. Not sure what we could have done to revive it as he wasnโ€™t taking calls and would probably still have ignored instructions! I think on deadline day everybody closely involved bar the Swansea chairman thought it was all sorted!

4.) 23 Apr 2019 12:45:35
Danum Agree totally but the person solely responsible for both failures is Radz. Regarding Saiz, very difficult to resolve, a bit like Brexit but I would've only permitted him to go at the end of the season. As for James, Radz knew all along the proposed transfer was dubious because of the Chairman at the time. Had Radz offered the money up front, the Chairman would've relented. I think you'll find what actually cost us this season ultimately is Radz's money problems (this caused the poor structure of the failed James acquisition) from his tv rights debacle. Radz naive. If we don't get promoted via the playoffs, wouldn't surprise me to see Radz' true colours. Him selling up and Bub leaving. We've paid the consequences this season for Radz' mistakes when it all should've been so different.

5.) 23 Apr 2019 12:55:32
Spaniard Saiz did fit albeit only just. What he did at Newport wrong but he became a highly effective ball carrier which aided our overall play. He did need resting more frequently, as did other players but letting him leave was dumb and has cost us an automatic promotion and a diminution in his transfer value. As for James, you are right but miss the point. Radz knew this dynamic but failed to react and take decisive action. His tv rights debacle meant he couldn't restructure the deal to Jenkins liking so Jenkins put his foot down. If we fail in the playoffs (likely) I won't be surprised to see Radz sell.

6.) 23 Apr 2019 13:27:07
Guess we will never know. Not sure I follow your logic with James, Radz and everyone else thought the deal was done, why need to renegotiate anything. By the time it became apparent, too late. In my opinion Saiz is only good if he wants to play and even then when he has been given the opportunity he wanted in Spain, he hasnโ€™t delivered. But itโ€™s all in the past, we could have had both of them and still ended up where we are, who knows.

I think you might be more right about Bielsa going on then Radz in the short term, depends who is willing to buy and not buy. Not sure Bielsa will have the energy to go again or the players to go with him unless he can show how he has learned and that he really has the resources he wants.

Letโ€™s hope it doesnโ€™t come to that. How was your Easter you were very quiet on here!

7.) 23 Apr 2019 13:53:08
Spanish Not good! Very depressed about losing to Wigan. There's other personal carp I'm going through right now. An Easter to forget!

8.) 23 Apr 2019 13:58:52
Spanish Radz and American counterparts at Swans thought, no hoped deal was done. They knew all along about Jenkins. Jenkins was the one who told McBurnie he's going nowhere. There was however a chink of light with Jenkins. He was passionate about protecting financial interests of Swans so informed everyone he'll only sanction deal if virtually all money paid up front. You know the outcome.

9.) 23 Apr 2019 14:32:59
Thatโ€™s interesting stuff George. Hopefully Radz will learn from it! Sorry to hear your news. The personal stuff can help keep the football in perspective but the football can also provide some much needed relief at time. When both are bad, itโ€™s not good! Feeling for you!

10.) 23 Apr 2019 17:01:17
Spaniard Thanks. Please bear in mind Radz economic with the truth. He said afterward "we did everything they asked". Yes, in a way he's right. Problem is he didn't do everything that EVERYONE asked, ie Jenkins.

11.) 23 Apr 2019 19:17:06
James was supposed to be Bielsa's number 1 target, so why did we not try to get the deal done early in the Window? Radz and his sidekick Kinnear have always been economical with the truth. Remember last close season when Kinnear was on a Season Ticket Sales Drive and he was telling us how many millions we had to spend as well as the 10 million from the 49rs. What happened to all that?

12.) 23 Apr 2019 22:34:39
Swansea were always trying to hold on to their key players and only sell as much as they needed. I suspect that James was the last one that they wanted to go and from memory he wasnโ€™t the only deal that fell through on the final day once they had what they needed. In the end it worked out for them, they have benefited from his play and they should get a much better fee for him, so you can see why they did it.

13.) 23 Apr 2019 22:57:04
Spanish The "they" you refer to was Jenkins on his own. He left the following day. James' increase in value via goalscoring displays prove he was right. The benefactors, Swansea, are merely lucky as "they" intended quite the reverse, his sale.

Phil Hay tweeting that Roofe is having a scan on his knee tomorrow.
Maybe not fake news! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ.

danumwhite

1.) 17 Feb 2019 14:43:18
But to have him walking around Leeds with a brace on before his scan and before any news has been released to anyone. Seems a bit weird!

16 Feb 2019 19:09:24
Hearing a rumour Roofe out for season with ligament damage. A photo on social media in a leg brace. Some saying it could be an old photo?

Hi Danum. Just typed a post to same effect. Crossed in the post type scenario. Like you, I dunno what to make of it.

2.) 16 Feb 2019 21:08:18
If it's true then it's a good job Bamford and Brown are both back up and running.

30 Jan 2019 07:24:45
Does anybody know if Dan James walked off the pitch last night applauding and waving at the home supporters?
If not, he's probably not coming!

danumwhite

1.) 30 Jan 2019 08:56:50
Can't see it happening anyway danum. They do it to us every year by drawing it out and out and out then hey presto we run out of time.

2.) 30 Jan 2019 12:08:32
I think itโ€™s all about how much money Swansea need and who else they sell. He is one ideally they would like to keep if they possibly can!

3.) 30 Jan 2019 14:59:58
True Spanish.
If it does go through it'll probably be at the last minute, and only if they don't sell Fer and Boni.

4.) 30 Jan 2019 17:47:57
Confident we will get him, unless the player himself doesn't want to come. Bielsa wants this lad and I can only see Radzs and co backing him.

30 Jan 2018 21:56:26
Somebody said earlier that we have no luck. Well we got one point tonight when we didn't deserve any. I'd call that lucky! ๐Ÿ˜‰

1.) 31 Jan 2018 16:51:01
We got three point at home against them and should have been three nill down in first ten minutes. Felix again. Just wish he'd catch some crosses.

Anyone else kept away from any football related media today?
I know I have.
What made it worse was, while watching at home with my two Leeds supporting sons and my (pretends to be interested in football) wife, she said at the end of the game, "well, at least they tried! "๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ™‰.

Talksport had a derby county/ Frank lampard love in this morning. Funny how one minute they are saying Bielsa is good for the league and the next how foriegn coaches don't get this league.

2.) 16 May 2019 21:45:15
Danum. I got the unforgivable โ€œitโ€™s only footballโ€ from my mrs today. Needless to say, sheโ€™s looking up at a patio now.

3.) 16 May 2019 22:41:37
Bright. I'm just listening to mine snoring her head off, contemplating the very same thing! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.

Danum/ Brighty.

Brilliant boys.

Wives are always great at inappropriate one liners! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿคฃ.

Wow. Woke up this morning feeling even worse than I did last night!
It really is the hope that kills you! ๐Ÿ˜ฃ.

mate join my club said all year we ain't going up. it makes it easier, just gutted leeds keep making me right, still even as the most negitive poster, i see a silver lining, the youth can now come through if MB stops being stubborn and gives them a chance, plus i think league should be weaker next year with poor teams coming down.

1970.
I've always thought the ยฃ11m investment from the 49'rs was Radz saying to his mate, give me some money now and when we get in the Premier League and I sell club you will get 4 times as much back.
Simple moneymaking scheme really! ๐Ÿ˜•.

Spanish.
Surely if you were Clarke you'd rather stay at a championship club, than move to a club that's in the champions league final (possibly champions) earn 6 times as much money and live in that there London. Also be able to punch well above his weight in the girlfriend stakes. Ooh, it would be a tough decision to make! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.

You're right BW.
Bielsa loves Kiko. He is going nowhere.
Hopefully BPF will stay and improve then eventually takeover.
