It sounds like there are some positive moves about transfers for us this next week.
Does anyone know if there is any mileage in the Luke Freeman rumour that we are hoping to bring him in. I hope there is.

Onwards and upwards.

1.) 30 Jun 2019 23:22:47
Good player but I sense not for us.

2.) 01 Jul 2019 08:43:31
We're not currently making any moves for Freeman.

3.) 01 Jul 2019 21:10:08
Shame about that alftupper!

09 Jun 2019 22:16:47
Something gone down with Leeds United shares as received email this afternoon from company check updates about Leeds United. It refers to shares but Doesn't allow me access to further information.

1.) 09 Jun 2019 22:49:38
Just checked company's house website for Leeds United and there is a lot of things relating to shares but I don't understand what it means, something about radz and 75%.

2.) 09 Jun 2019 22:58:13
What does that mean?

3.) 09 Jun 2019 23:43:18
Looking at the docs you seem to be referring to, while they were apparently filed with companies house, or uploaded to its website recently, they seem to date from last year, so possibly nothing to be excited about.

4.) 10 Jun 2019 07:52:27
Yeah, reading through this morning I think the relate to the 49ers buying 25% for 11million. So nothing new.

5.) 10 Jun 2019 08:25:37
This is all the paperwork related to the 49ers investment last year. Nothing in itself to be excited about, unless it has been prompted by them doing some preparations for other share issues/ sales during/ in advance of due diligence.

28 May 2019 12:05:51
Bielsa signs contract for a further season, BRILL!

Well done Radz for getting this quickly dealt with 😀👍.

1.) 28 May 2019 12:35:56
I love a bit of continuity good news in my opinion mot.

2.) 28 May 2019 12:48:15
It's a decent sign, Bielsa has a history of leaving if he doesn't get what he feels he needs. Radz must have given him certain assurances. Need to get a move on though, particularly in the free agent market. Radz says loans or quality free agents. The quality free agents will be snapped up soon.

3.) 28 May 2019 14:15:43
Who are the free agents out there worth having.

4.) 28 May 2019 14:45:06
Nasri, Carzola, Cahill, Sturridge, Ribery, Wellbeck, Milner? an not see them ending up here though.

5.) 28 May 2019 15:36:33
Start off with a decent goalkeeper please.

21 Jan 2019 19:52:53
Desperately in need of reassurance we are not going to sell Jack Clark, and definitely not cheaply?

1.) 21 Jan 2019 21:09:28
Ok, Jack Clarke, NOT FOR SALE.

2.) 21 Jan 2019 21:23:52
No chance this transfer window. Why would we sell the brightest talent in the league, while we are top, and pushing for promotion, unless the money offered was just stupid. That and I don’t think the lad would want to go!

3.) 22 Jan 2019 02:33:18
Just seen some proper claptrap on NewsNow, Clarke sale to fund transfer! made me chuckle.

4.) 22 Jan 2019 09:09:34
They’re embarrassing, sell JC to 'fund' the purchase of another player for the same amount?

Does no one proof read stuff anymore or are they all aged 12 writing this stuff?

JC not for sale

He’s going to be worth £50 plus as a premiership player and even then I’d not sell.

5.) 22 Jan 2019 11:14:16
Won't sell Clarke this window unless it was 50 mil+.

6.) 22 Jan 2019 11:51:56
Will not be going anywhere this window. It will be his dream to take Leeds back to Premiership and he will not want to miss that.

20 Oct 2018 20:50:09
Think we took a bit to get going today, half-time came at the wrong time as we were beginning to get the game by the scruff of the neck with a goal.

Thought Cooper played well (and I'm always usually critical of him) . Phillips, Siaz, Klich had good games.

Roberts invisible for long periods.

Here's back to winning ways on Wednesday.

1.) 20 Oct 2018 20:54:35
A sensible post, well done. :)

It's a fresh start, clean slate, new season, I think Bamford given positive encouragement from the stands on match days will grow in confidence this term. Shame to hear he was been barracked by our own supporters during York game.
Then there's the Twitter armchair football fan experts who jump in with their player assassinations.
Beats me!

I hold my hand up to being critical of Cooper before anyone reminds me.

Onwards and upwards.

1.) 14 Jul 2019 13:06:30
Bamford hasn't performed in 3 or more seasons. He's a prima Donna who has done well for himself by doing very little.

2.) 14 Jul 2019 14:55:26
Agree wex.
He is useless.
Is that clear.
Was crap. Is crap. Will be crap.
Sell to villa.

3.) 14 Jul 2019 20:49:54
Bamford scored 10 in 25

Not bad figures.

4.) 14 Jul 2019 21:10:47
bamford not the best but also is not the worst

he is decent but gets stick because he is posh and ain't leeds. i don't get it. i don't care where a fella comes from they are . lucas was from south africa but leeds through and through

i feel for bamford.

5.) 14 Jul 2019 22:34:14
Good stats. And there was a period when he was fit last season when he was very good. If he stays fit he’s a very good championship striker.

6.) 14 Jul 2019 23:14:30
As bermo said,

Lee Chapman wasn’t the greatest player ever but we won a league title ( the last real one) bouncing the ball off him

Bamford has a good conversion rate and if fit Bielsa can make him a better player.

7.) 15 Jul 2019 07:10:46
Bamford has scored around 30 in 3 seasons.

8.) 15 Jul 2019 07:39:42

. and Bamford has scored 10 in 25 games last year.

Keep telling us the same stat doesn't look like its changing anybody's mind.

Some of us don't care for Bamford, some of us hope for his and our sakes that he does well

Personally I am with bermo on this one. I think people have an issue with the man, not the football player.
I hope he does well.

9.) 15 Jul 2019 07:45:39
Wax, if Bamford is crap in your view, then so must Roofe be, as Bamford's goal per minutes played is slightly better and their shot percentage on target is apparently the same and they both had two assists - and without the injuries, either of them would probably (given their respective scaring rates) been the much vaunted '20 goals a season striker' which some on here contend neither of them to be.

I don't think either is crap, but Bamford is more infuriating because his natural ability was probably better than Roofe's so it just feels like he should be doing so much better than he is. I guess that Roofe's greater overall work rate gets him the higher credibility among many of our fans.

I hope that you hope Bamford makes you eat your words (with your contention that he 'will be crap) - I certainly do. It is just possible he may have a very good season this year.

10.) 15 Jul 2019 08:30:04
I honestly don’t think Bamford gets stick because he is posh, is he? Or because he’s not from Leeds. Perhaps Hernandez is posh, certainly not from Leeds, but fans player of the season for 2 years! I think it’s about commitment, behaviour and performance! Bamford still needs to prove himself on all 3. But I never believe we should be targeting our own players, counter productive!

11.) 15 Jul 2019 10:13:45
Bamford has failed on those 3 points with his last few clubs. Why will we be any different. And Axe I just support Leeds and want better for the club and team. I'm guilty of wanting better.

12.) 15 Jul 2019 10:36:00
Wex, the difference is a full preseason with Bielsa, let’s see if that has an impact, if it doesn’t he might not be playing much!

Everybody wants better Wex it’s not only you but that includes Radz, Orta and Bielsa as well. No one bought Bamford in order to waste 8 million or to make our performance worse! It might not just be you who wants the best for the club, people just have different ideas how to achieve it!

13.) 15 Jul 2019 12:57:46

I can see that you want the best for the club. Trust me, your passion comes through loud and clear.

It's a privilege to banter with you, knowing that as opposite we are in our views, however contentious our replies to each other get, we both still want the same result

. mankinis, prosecco and a hot tub, with the Championship wrapped up by April.

I just can't find it in me to slag off a working man. Bamford might not be a world beater but I trust everyman in wanting to take pride in whatever job he does.

14.) 15 Jul 2019 14:03:58
True Spanish he do t get stuck I. Here for being posh but this is a good site he gets stick else where for it

He is very posh I know hi ts cousin very well her dad use to own Nottingham forest and he has a degree and can play violin so pretty posh

I also know top people at borough very well they really rated him but he had a row with Pulis over pre season training but the board loved him I wouldn’t be surprised if he went back to borough.

15.) 15 Jul 2019 15:49:11

He can go back to Boro. once he has scored 30 goals this coming season, and helped us to promotion as Champions.

I have no ill feelings towards the guy, but I just have this inkling that his level is the Championship. I don't see him as being fast enough for the Premiership, or strong enough, or technical enough. Very similar to Marcis Gayle in many ways.

Doing well for us will only increase his resale value, increasing the pot for a higher class striker to keep us in the Prem.

16.) 15 Jul 2019 17:22:09
i agree i think he is decent at this level and always good for 15 goals if played and fit but he ain't prem and hopefully this time next year we will be.

17.) 15 Jul 2019 18:49:25
I have no issue with the man apart from he's lazy.

10 Jul 2019 12:18:43
Let's move on from PJ, he's gone, yes he does look ridiculous in a Brentford shirt!

I'm excited about his potential replacement which I hope is sooner rather than later.

09 Jul 2019 11:45:11
This being our Centenary year it's a time for mirth and merriment. We will rip this league apart this coming season, unbeaten at home and away, league champions with record number of points and goals for and goal difference with 46 clean sheets.
All without the services of Roofe, Phillips, and any further replacements.

That's what I And every Leeds fan would love to be the end of season outcome. Reality it ain't going to happen.

Trying to be positive as we can only speculate what may or may not happen before the season even starts. So many rumours, ifs and buts.

Keeping faith as always and reminding myself we've had far more uncertainty and leeches at the helm steering this great club to near obscurity (Master Bates and GFH) .
Sure there is a lot going on behind the scenes for the better.

Onwards and upwards.

1.) 09 Jul 2019 15:27:58
Spot on IBilko we will all be cheering the lads on whoever starts in the white shirt next season and all will be hoping for a top table finish whatever this window ends up like. We will all be praying Bubs can do it again this season with the squad he has. We will all be wearing the centenary shirt with pride because we are Leeds. Onwards and upwards.

12 Jun 2019 16:31:46
Been following Leeds United since I was 5 years old (1968) ; if my memories serve me well about our club and football success in general.
1. Clubs who make bids for quality players do so early.
2. This says to the fans, the club, and the rest of the footballing community "we mean business to win'
3. When Leeds have followed this route we've enjoyed good times, I'm thinking of Wilkinson era especially.
The O'Leary Reign too while it lasted, but who knew the full extent at the time from the terraces what financial chaotic decisions were going on in the board room and the consequences.!
4. Leeds aren't tripping themselves up to make any significant bids on decent players so far but is that because we're skint?
5. Bielsa is on a tidy contract we're to believe, would he agree to stay if Radz had not given assurances about quality loans and transfers. I would doubt this.
6. Radz stated when he took over if he felt he could not improve the club and take it further he would sell so he must feel he has funds to continue.
7. MB has allegedly told Radz he can't improve the fortunes of the team with current squad, needs better players.
8. Radz and MB hopefully have learned small squad doesn't last distance, injuries and suspensions.

If we're not signing 3 - 4 players plus loans in the next month we'll be going backwards.

If only we could cook up some of the Don's recipe today. The Manc City, Chelski, and Liverpool, Barcelona of today would not be a patch on his Leeds team, on or off the pitch!

1.) 13 Jun 2019 08:12:35

A sensible post, however, looking back on last years pre season neither Sheffield United nor Norwich bought big at the beginning of the transfer window.

I think we all gace to realise that financially we are not a big club anymore. The PL giants feast at the table before anyone else. Guys like us have to wait and see who is left and available. the money has to work it's way down to our level.

Personally I believe we will lose 2 first teamers to higher placed clubs this pre season. But which two I couldn't tell you. And until we know who the departures are I doubt we can go looking for replacements. So hence all the media speculation about we need wingers. That is a position we could use some extra quality anyway (Henandez, Alioski, Clarke, Roberts, Wilks don't seem to be enough cover! )

31 May 2019 12:34:01
I would give Bamford till January as I think the mans got goals in him and put last season down to adjusting to our high intensity playing style. Giving him the benefit of doubt for his 'silly antics' at lack of fitness and sharpness due to injury.

I would like to see another forward loaned or purchased if MB isn't going to give Edmondson a fair run.

Definitely need to bring in better wide players who can deliver better crosses, corners, and free kicks as this was mega frustrating.

Been saying for yonks we need a Strachan, MaCallister, Speedo, or Batty type midfielder who has an engine like a Ferrari and can box to box it, chip in with goals. Barry Bannan springs to mind.

Alfie Inge Haalands son looks like a great young player, should we bring him in? He would do for me as a first teamer.

Definitely NO to Adoma, villa reject.

1.) 31 May 2019 15:02:06
What do you put the 3 seasons Bamford had before last season.

2.) 31 May 2019 15:48:26
Down too.

3.) 31 May 2019 16:30:05
Sorry to say but bam bam not what he was, can’t see him getting 10, was a poor replacement for wood, had we had him we would have gone up,

4.) 31 May 2019 16:36:15
Haaland under contract and a sizeable deal until 2023 with Salzburg Red Bull. Apparently though he may come to ER when Red Bull buy us on the 4th of Never.

5.) 31 May 2019 21:00:41
Wood was not mobile enough to play under Bielsa. We wouldn’t have gone up with him in the side either.

If true and the club entertain these rumours they really do need their heads looking at and a large foot up the backside. Klitch is IMO a must not sell player. If I was Radz and co I’d be slapping £20 million price tag on Klitch.
Bearing in mind he’s my favourite player.

If PJ was deemed a negative influence at the club and had to go what is happening about Saiz, the club has had since January to deal with him?

He deserved to be given a chance, he’s probably been sold for peanuts, Barnsley must be laughing their jocks off!
Mowatt hounded out of Leeds by fickle fans and look at him now, voted their player of season just gone.

Interesting post Berm, we shouldn’t be turning on each other. Respect we all have different views and opinions. We all watched most of Leeds games last season, but we will have differences of opinion about who was MOM, who didn’t put in a shift, and so on.

Are we skint? Is Radz just in it for the money he can take from our club? Are we in process of Quatari takeover?
To me it’s all ifS and buts and maybe’s with a lot of media platform mischief.

One issue that keeps me optimistic at present is the fact MB agreed to stay onboard and so did his assistant despite offer from elsewhere. This has to be because of positive belief our club is going forward, that’s my logic.

Onwards and upwards.

We could loan him, or sell him, to a remote unknown non league Russian Siberian team who are totally rubbish and made up of ex spies (lol) , convicts, western sympathisers, and Putin haters. It’ll be dark and freezing, if you don’t play well it’s 40 years hard labour.

Just a thought while waiting for centenary kit official unveiling!

Berm, I agree with you 100% about Cooper, I admit his discipline and performances improved last season but is that because we were playing a more attacking game camped in opposition half with high possession percentage. This would have put less pressure on Cooper, no need for the odd rugby tackle or two footed sliding lunges.
Cooper IMO needs replacing, he panics when under the cosh. He’s the weak link and I’ve posted my concerns about his defensive frailties before.
Just saying!
Onwards and upwards.
