Apparently Everton looking to get a loan deal done for Kalvin Phillips?
Personally think it would be a good move for the lad to get his career back on track. If Dyche wants him then he knows what he wants from him.
Never met Phillips but he really seems like a good pro, team mate and a decent fella.
I don't normally chat on here about players that have left because it's in the past but there's something about Kalvin which endears him to me.

I think Kal being loaned out again is a very negative move for him. He needs a solid base to rebuild and find his old form again, floating about on loan isn’t going to help him.

A loan is likely KP only option until his contract runs out because of

1) his age of 29 . no spring chicken .
2) his lengthy injury record
3) his loss of some form.

OP so which team would want to pay a presumably sizeable transfer fee AND pay his £150k a week wages?

29 May 2024 05:45:13
It’s up to him, has to be realistic and lower his wage demands.
It’s also possible if Everton’s takeover bid collapses they will go into meltdown and a fire sale of their best players will commence. Not really a base to restart your career if that does happen.

I agree with both of you there, which puts me on the fence, clearly!
And Baz, do you really think Viteh will hold out for what they paid? No is the word you’re looking for. And as for his wages? Do you think Kal will be looking for the same over inflated weekly pay? Believe me, he will want to play football, and get back into the England fold, and will drop below the £100k mark to do so.

I think city will take about 20 for him in the end. And no I wouldn’t pay that for him to come to Leeds but some prem team will.

29 May 2024 10:56:23
We shall see . odds on KP loan imo.

29 May 2024 12:31:12
Actually, yes Baz, odds would point to a loan, but all OP was saying was it would be better, and preferable for Kal to go permanently somewhere, which you instantly dissed, I guess simply because OP said it ?. (H word).

Unfortunately, your reasons were again unfounded, and likely inaccurate, tho I do have no problem with being wrong, should that ever turn out to be the case.

29 May 2024 13:04:03
Reasons given entirely logical . time will tell soon enough.

29 May 2024 13:05:33
What Hooksie suggested entirely believable. nor disproved.

29 May 2024 14:32:27
Bright again I have to agree with you let’s hope all works out next season .
