If reports are to be believed, Foxes are about to be slapped with the biggest points deduction so far in the PL. This would lend to a belief that relegation is almost nailed on, but rewarded with parachute payments for a further 3 years.
Personally speaking, how the effingjeff have they even allowed to be promoted? What is basically being said is; "Ok. You cheated to stay up for a few years, but got your dues in the end. You then got away with zero punishment and won the league earning, unfairly, mucho pesos and getting promoted to earn mucho moros pesos, to get relegated, and yep, we will give you many more pesos. "

if you're relegated the parachute payments last 3 years, decreasing in value every year. AFAIK, if you get promoted and then relegated again within that 3 year period you don't then get a further 3 years, they just continue the parachute payments from the previous relegation.
ie;
Relegated. first year 150m
Promoted
Relegated. Second year 100m.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but that's how I understood it. It's to not have yoyo clubs constantly getting 3 years of payments every relegation.

That would make more sense Dil, tbf, but still doesn’t change my view that Leicester should not have even been promoted.
