I couldn’t pick Joe Rodon as player of the season purely on the basis that Adam Armstrong played against us 3 times this season and scored in every game, including 2 goals at st. Mary’s. Including the most important game of the season. Although he probably wasn’t responsible for marking him every instance of the games he’s still the centre half and he’s the opposition centre forward. Along with coming up for every single corner we had (in the hundreds! ) and never scored one goal or contributed to a goal. Very much like Koch. I would say it’s got to be Archie gray or most likely Summerville.

C&J. re Rodon against Armstrong
1) Rodon did NOT even play in Southampton 3 vs Leeds 1 match. and his absence on pitch was greatly missed
2) Without Rodon in Lèeds United defence Leeds would have conceded far, far more shots on target and conceded wayyyy more goals not least with our hologram of a gk.

I did have an inkling he was missing at st. Mary’s Baz. Apologies, should have checked before I jumped in with both feet. But saying that, he was missing in action against Armstrong in the other two games. And I have a bee in my bonnet about him never getting even one goal. And as for Archie I have put him forward purely on the basis of how young he is and he’s had many good games in a couple of positions throughout the season. He had a fantastic game away to Chelsea in the cup and played a huge part in the crucial 2nd goal against Leicester. And most importantly supports Leeds United.

Yes C&G Rodon indeed didn't play in 1st game
I agree its irritating that Rodon never scored / ;never even looked like scoring but that also applies to CM / RB Archie Gray which is arguably a far worse stat.
AG had a good season esp considering his young age / lack of experience and has a lot of potential but for me he is currently overrated by some of fan base and was nowhere near Leeds POTS.

Joe has been a good addition to the team Baz, no doubt about that.
He does give 100% every game and I like his old school no nonsense defending which we definitely need. Also DJ has been very good this season too.
Here’s a question for the posters, I have spoken to a few ex footballers, admittedly lower league players, and they’re of the opinion that there’s quite a few players nowadays that’s not overly keen on attacking the ball with their heads, due this connection with dementia and Alzheimer’s in later years. What’s people thoughts on this? A couple actually picked out piroe as an example. Being a big strapping lad, he doesn’t seem to go for too many high balls right enough. I must admit it never occurred to me.
