Just watched inside Thorp Arch.
The lads training before the Fulham game.
Koch looks like he's integrated well with the squad, great technique and control with the ball too.
Coops and Forshaw both training and looking fully fit (although fully fit and match fit two different things) .
None of last night's lads training though.

I imagine they will rest the day after a game.

Not sure what was more disappointing/ embarrassing tonight.
The performance of the lads
Kiko as captain.
On the plus side I listened to it on Radio Leeds instead of paying the £10 so it could have been worse 😂
Congratulations to Hull btw.

Villa sign Martinez and Kiko captains Leeds all on the same day.

envious of the former, and the latter is deeply concerning

We are now again a Premier league team

We are Leeds United.

We deserve/ need a class goalkeeper m.

Perhaps not all is rose as we would believe, didn’t show up at all. Some players still not ready still one for the future.

Bazooka, it's amazing how other teams to about their player recruitment compared to us. Seems that teams like Villa, Sheffield Utd, Everton and even Southampton identify a player they need and get them in, we supposedly chase a player for weeks and struggle to get anywhere. We can buy lots of young players with so called potential to stock our under23 team, seems that we do this with ease.
I know we are looking at bigger transfer fees due to being in the premiership, and have to spend wisely, but other teams seem to chase the same players as we been linked with like Watkins and manage to pull the deals out of the bag.
We spend too much time chasing players from abroad who are unlikely to come while the players under our noses are being snapped up by other teams in our league.

Mezzer indeed spot on.

West Brom - Hammered at home
Fulham - Hammered at home
Leeds - Narrowly beaten, going toe to toe with one of the best teams in Europe (especially in their own back yard) with two centre backs that have never played together, and missing their captain.
Yeah both teams defending was dodgy (but ours was understandable given the situation) .
Was brilliant to see the lads have the attitude "We don't care who you are, this is how we play and we're putting our stamp on this game".
If they play that way all season we can stop sending Bielsa out for post match comments and just send superfan Russell Crowe out in his gladiator outfit to say "Are you not entertained".

Show respect but ne we fear.

I can see Koch penetrating Allison's defence on Saturday.
Either way let's hope that the commentators have to say "Leeds's Koch stood firm there" .
What we don't want to see is Leeds's Koch limp.

So I've packed off Mrs Yeboah to bed and after watching today's friendly match highlights again (for the umpteenth time) I'm now chilling with my bit on the side "Stella" and watching "in full swing" with Connor McGilligan and Rob Mulholland as they predict the Premier League table.
They have Leeds as 10th and 9th respectively which I personally would take all day long.
Just wondered where you guys think we will finish.
Personally agree that we will be mid table and that most teams will be knackered after playing us MOT.

1.) 06 Sep 2020 08:02:52
Def most teams will be knackered.
But I’m thinking 14th.

2.) 06 Sep 2020 08:35:02
I’ll be happy if we stay 3 places clear of the relegation spots from 5th game till end of season. so 15th or better would be good for me. Top 10 I’d be ecstatic.

The challenge will be the team not being settled till about 10 weeks in with the blessed nations cup and transfer window.

Same true for most sides. but definitely more so for promoted clubs who’ve had to add quality and get the team playing to the Coach’s formula.

Tough season to get promoted. and tougher still to be playing the best side and most stable side in the league for our first game.

But relish it we will. even if we ship 7. MOT.

3.) 06 Sep 2020 10:09:26
10 wins, 10 draws, 40 pts, no drubbings will do me
Personally 13th.

4.) 06 Sep 2020 11:12:15
The issue sometimes with tiring out the opposition is that the team who play oir opponents after we do reap the benefits rather than us.

5.) 07 Sep 2020 13:50:33
Way too smart alf.

I hope he can fit in at a big club and a big city like ours.
I hear he's only a "Smalltown Boy" 😂.

{Ed025's Note - love it YC..

Good point Ed001. Shame for him as well because he is quality.

{Ed001's Note - brilliant player, it is a real shame.}

I have the same stance about Meslier tbh.
Outstanding young goalkeeper but probably 1 or 2 years too early to be the right guy between the sticks right now.
Martinez would have been perfect-but expensive. Not sure about Gunn (if true) .
Would like us to rescue Romero from having to play for them or somebody of similar ability.
Defo not Kiko though, not even as back up.

Would take Berkley over Loftus Cheek. Both talented and creative attacking midfielders (although neither are perfect) .
Think Berkley playing for Bielsa in this team with regular game time would motivate him so much and we could end up unleashing an absolute beast. Think the same could also be true if we get Kent.
Ideal player though is still De Paul. Put him in this team, working under Bielsa and before Christmas he'd be like Eden Hazard.
Also a massive shame that Benrahma decided to portray that kind of image of himself otherwise I think he would have already been signed. ALAW.

{Ed001's Note - more to the point Loftus-Cheek has a back problem that would make it a real struggle for him to play for a Bielsa team, as he can barely keep fit to play.}

Absolute garbage tonight but totally agree about a blessing in disguise. We can't afford to spend time farting about with cups.
Staying up is the main priority. Everything else is a bonus.
Getting beat and playing rubbish still feels lousy though class.

Glad to hear Leeds are doing the right thing and letting Beradi ride the Leeds Premier League train.
