If it is true that when Roofe leaves we are going for Kent my opinion is that is an excellent upgrade. Much as i liked Roofe Kent has a lot more potential and is a class act waiting to happen. Lot of competition for those wing berths unless Bubs has got other ideas for him.

1.) 05 Aug 2019 20:17:58
Doesn’t make sense. Loads of wingers with 1 striker in the squad.

2.) 05 Aug 2019 20:48:55
Kent can play central.

3.) 05 Aug 2019 21:31:26
So can Costa and Harrison.

4.) 05 Aug 2019 21:37:11
Think MB has ideas about a few playing up front, including Roberts, Harrison and costa. The ability to switch players from the wing to the striker role during a match can cause chaos for opposition defences, and is something I think we will see during the course of this season. Add Kent to the equation, and we can really mix it up, and in attack, we have real strength!

5.) 05 Aug 2019 21:45:20
He's no way a striker.

6.) 06 Aug 2019 06:18:33
We’ve all? ( me included) forgotten we’ve got a fella called Tyler. Hope the lad has an injury free run.

7.) 06 Aug 2019 06:53:55
While Kent is a winger, we all remember what Wenger did with that winger Henry?

8.) 06 Aug 2019 12:20:49
Yes, I do. Since when did an octopus eat a crocodile l?

03 Aug 2019 21:20:16
Rumoured we are after Colidio and Nolan from Inter. Def need some more in, not sure how long it would take to get them Bielsa fit.

1.) 03 Aug 2019 22:03:10
I read that to, don't know much about either of them so hope there upto it. I would of preferred experienced guys.

09 Jul 2019 20:03:08
Read Danny Mills reason for Pontus leaving. Its what club told him. Pontus wanted more time off for holiday Bielsa said no. If the boss says i want you back at work you go back to work. Not sure what position is with Unions and players holidays but we know Bub has a strict code he adheres to and so did Pontus. All a bit childish in my eyes but in any job there is a pecking order.

1.) 09 Jul 2019 21:40:12
It's all been badly handled in George opinion. If he wanted more time off, why was he training at all with Malmo? Why not fine the player for employee breach? Was it lucky timing then that the 🐝 came in with an offer? This has been a dispute brewing for some time.

2.) 09 Jul 2019 23:13:43
Agree George think this just helped him on his way. Could have been settled with a fine. Down to Bub this one i think.

06 Jul 2019 23:05:34
Lot of posters turning against Pontus who was a god two weeks ago. Sad to lose him but if he is out of favour and happy to go so be it. What does make me mad is we are selling him to one of our rivals for peanuts. Captained his country and one of the best CBs in the championship and he is only worth 5mill, total joke. Who are we going to replace him with. White may have been able to play alongside Pontus but not with Coops would stand no chance against crosses. Sorry but if we do not get a quality CB in this is a really bad bit of business.

Agree also Wilks going cheap if 1mill is the price. Young talented and if Lowe is worth 2-3 mill he is worth nearer 2mill whatever problems he has in his personal life, they can be sorted, i suppose no one on here got in with the wrong crowd when you were young. Said on an earlier post i was expecting one of Roofe, Pontus or KP to be sold so not too surprised but was expecting Halme to be with us if only for his height
Thing is if we had put a proper valuation on Pontus of at least 10mill it would have made sense but looks like he has gone cheap to get him out of the door.

1.) 07 Jul 2019 02:52:29
Another good post. I believe Pontus was critical of management from the January transfer window and it eventually showed in his attitude. Big boots to fill. Believe we are considering Bielik from the Gooners.

2.) 07 Jul 2019 04:48:41
I agree the price seems cheap (although that will be a profit for us) but it there is bad blood best to get rid rather than upset the depressing room. Rubbish but that’s the modern game. Mate bumped into Orta yesterday and he says we are looking at maybe bringing in 1 more. Didn’t say what position but I can believe a CB.

3.) 07 Jul 2019 04:57:32
Does the magic hat go with the sale? If so that alone has to be worth another 3 mil?

4.) 07 Jul 2019 09:17:36
I actually feel sorry for Pontus and feel some of the criticism on here and elsewhere is undue. The guy obviously got Leeds and fully bought into the fervour of the fans. He obviously also drank in the love for him from the fans and gained energy from this - presumably partly because he had been such a peripheral figure in the latter part of his last season at his beloved Malmo and during his one and a half seasons at Torino.

Whether his exclusion from the team in the playoff semi-final games was down to his reaction to the Villa goal or not who knows, but he was clearly wounded by this, particularly for the game at Elland Road, and especially following what transpired. He had probably dreamed (literally) of scoring the winning goal against Villa in the final - and why not, 'cos he almost always scored against Villa. He would probably have sweated blood in that game to have endured we got to Wembley. But yet he didn't even get on the pitch, and had to watch on with the fans as most of those picked fell apart and surrendered meekly to the loathed Fat Frank and his (former) team - including that wan**er Keogh who played a key role - being allowed to dominate in both boxes.

It's fairly easy to imagine how upset Pontus felt at all this - not just for himself, but for the fans - without seeing the pictures of him slumped alone at the side of the pitch. People criticise him for not being with the rest of the squad to console them etc. But having seen his and our dreams lost in such pathetic fashion, particularly with such mistakes made by the player specifically picked ahead of him, I can understand why he felt the need to be alone with his thoughts.

I can also imagine that there may be concerns over whether with such hurt and disappoinment he can fully reconcile himself with the management and some of his teammates at Leeds, and that is felt best for there to be a parting of the ways.

I don't for one moment think he actually wants to go to a Brentford, but that may currently be his only choice. As for the magic hat - of course it shouldn't be included in the sale, but rather be an exhibit in the Leeds United Museum. Thanks for the memories Pontus.

5.) 07 Jul 2019 10:33:05
The question is has he asked to leave is MB had enough, don't know what's gone on behind closed doors, sorry but 5.5 mill won't get us a dive 1 defender good enough, personally club should of tried to work it out, think he is no more than a lower level premier player at best, but will be a big loss if not replaced,

6.) 07 Jul 2019 11:56:03
IF the situation has broken down irretrevably the so be it. My one thought on this is that the bosses word is final however if you cannot harvest such passion (which often comes with a hot head and a fiery tongue) you are in danger in fielding a team with no passion. A team with no (controlled) aggression and ultimately a team with no stand up and be counted leaders. A team of yes men. Quite rightly if he is a cancer in the dressing room then he should be removed however a, good, manager should not let it get to that. If the situation had been simmering for some while then it beggars belief why we let Halme go? Surely his height would have been invaluable in times of need if we were to go 5 across the back. Still there is time, out there somewhere must be a Pontus clone to instill grit in the back line.

7.) 07 Jul 2019 13:28:03
Tellingly after the direby he said he’d only leave if Leeds sold him

So I suspect things were brewing

Our new style left him exposed at time but he’s better than the current level we play at

In that mad 20 mins vs the sheep we needed a leader or two. I don’t think it’s in his character to be that

Nor do we seem able to sign one

Good technical players only get to play if someone is getting their nose dirty

Which leads me on to Vinne. So sorry for his loss.

8.) 07 Jul 2019 17:32:52
He’s a character, not a leader. Love him, but you can’t have a disruptive influence in the squad.

01 Jul 2019 11:12:01
Papers still talking about QSI investment in Leeds. They want minor investment with option to buy for 75mill. Would be profit for Radz but think he may want more if we get in PL. One that will drag on.

1.) 01 Jul 2019 12:27:24
Interesting that that report mentioned that they thought that Leeds are a well run club on and off the pitch!

2.) 01 Jul 2019 13:00:18
Well we all know it it is financially sound and interacts well with the community. Getting there with playing staff and coaches top class. Think that part of it is evident for all to see.

See Radz is bringing back the Qatari saga for the media. Why would you make a statement like that. Choosing between three, pretty sure 99% of business men would be going with the Qataris, and how long before he makes his mind up Do not see any point in this press release other than just media coverage. Sign a deal then get back to us Radz.

1.) 14 Oct 2019 12:15:36
I agree it is not newsworthy until a deal is signed however I am still of the belief that this season is Radz last roll of the dice. The requirement to bring in investment in January, as a prelude to a summer takeover, may have been accelerated by the potential of Nketiah and White returning back to their parent clubs in January or the realisation that the squad will need strengthening in January. I do admit to reaching a bit for the squad strengthening :)

2.) 14 Oct 2019 12:20:56
If it's true, hope it's the Qataris, maybe the American but hope the Italian club is not Brescia!

3.) 14 Oct 2019 14:53:48
BB Remember my posts from months ago when news of Qatari interest first broke. I said back then I felt a deal would be concluded shortly after the January transfer window.

4.) 14 Oct 2019 17:15:05
George, will you be taking the title of the Oracle (Oricle) if this comes to pass?

5.) 14 Oct 2019 17:45:39
Sheriff Certainly not. There's only one Bermo.

6.) 14 Oct 2019 22:01:00
George sorry to take the wind outta your sails but I’m pretty sure you said it would be a takeover and not investment. At least someone takes a note of your impressive yet sometimes contrary posts😜.

7.) 14 Oct 2019 22:57:43
Cork Actually I believe I was intentionally silent on that issue because that's much harder to tell. However, I can't imagine the Qataris being content with anything less than a majority share. I can see an initial investment with takeover and anti-takeover trigger provisions being activated upon certain circumstances arising.

8.) 15 Oct 2019 10:15:01
You are right in a way Cork i think we both said that Qataris would invest but would want to make significant investment with view to full ownership. Think this is why its stalling, Radz hoping to get into PL before it is done so he can maximise profit from any sale of shares.

9.) 15 Oct 2019 11:30:10
only one orical. George would have to name the type of pen used to sign the check to take my self given title.

10.) 15 Oct 2019 12:05:29
BW Was it a Montblanc Meisterstuck gold plated classique,

11.) 15 Oct 2019 12:56:10
BB If Radz is waiting to get in the PL before seeking investment to maximise profit from sale of shares then Radz inactivity last January transfer window even more foolish .

Radz out.

12.) 15 Oct 2019 16:02:20
Thing is Bazooka Aser will want as much profit as possible which they will only get with promotion. They will not invest any more so will have to sell shares. 11% is probably what they want to offload. Qataris i think would want more than that, probably a majority holding or shares with a clause to buy majority holding. So do not be surprised if we sell shares to the American or Italian interested with the claim it is in our best interests. As i said in a previous post it should be a no brainer to sell to Qataris so it will be down to Aser aand Radz but strange they would tell us we have 3 interested parties when it is obvious to us which one to go for.

13.) 15 Oct 2019 16:14:56
Can’t argue with that bud or should I say the orical.

12 Oct 2019 10:37:44
For those who concentrate on first two teams just a heads up for a couple of younger ones who i think will do well in the future. Probably heard me mention Kamwa before but he is good and only a matter of time before he moves up if he can concentrate on his football, a bit of an excitable lad. Kenneh a star in the making and has an old head for such a young man. Morten Spencer another with bags of talent and old beyond his years. Haugland is progressing nicely and reads the game well. Kumwanda is raw talent and could be anything, bags of energy but a way to go yet. Casey and Cresswell have stepped up to U23s this season and will benefit from it. Cresswell very good reader of the game and positions himself well.
So if we could just get out of this division future looks quite bright.

1.) 12 Oct 2019 19:48:56
Kamwa needs to smarten his act up as he got cought with a section 165 (driving with no insurance) bubba wouldn’t have been impressed with that.

2.) 13 Oct 2019 08:48:10
Yes that's what i meant Martyn, needs to think more about his football and less about impressing his mates.

12 Oct 2019 09:59:44
Be nice if all the Milner rumours come true, exactly the type of player we need. Would tick all the boxes. Bad news would be if Pool bought White in Jan, would he still stay with us?

1.) 12 Oct 2019 10:52:56
Agree on all front Bud. Would love to see Milner back; model pro. Bielsa’s kind of player too. And losing White would be a reet kick in the nads! That lad is quality!

2.) 12 Oct 2019 19:20:42
If Leeds do ( ever) achieve promotion and the are still under the Radz regine doubt that Milner would be coming to Leeds unless he takes a huge paycut

As for Ben White leaving for Liverpool. hooefully not . but this is the folly of Radz and Orta relying on loans rather than purchasing players

Radz out.

3.) 12 Oct 2019 19:22:41
Couldn't afford Milner's wages under Radz even with promotion.

05 Oct 2019 18:14:55
Come on lads look at the positives. We had 68% possession and . no that's it. 5 shots to their 12, 1 corner to their 6,no not positives. Sure we just need to stay calm and the floodgates will open for Bamford and Harrison will take that trip to specsavers. We can't use Berardis dismissal as an excuse, we had 68% without him and could not do anything. But let's just hang in there and we will come with a run after christmas like we did last year, oh hold on was looking at SU then, and no George am not eating your shorts because i am still eating humble pie and looks like i will have another serving soon.
Call me a neghead and doom and gloomer but some of ux on here are realists and say what we see and that was not good enough. Costa looked to have lost interest as i have no doubt Eddie will have before he gets a start. Those of us who said defence needed adding to and were told no we have cover, we will see how good the cover is now. Maybe it will force Bubs hand for Pascal to start but would not be surprised if he only gets bench.
Hey its early days does not matter if we drop points does it, it will all come good and maybe dropped points will not count at end of season. What annoys me is we have sat on bench and a couple in u23s who could make a difference but i can not see them getting the chance. As long as we keep possession and Bubs thinks we should have won then it will be the same fingers crossed approach. No doubt we will win our next game and look invincible then draw two.
Onwards and upwards, i hope.

1.) 05 Oct 2019 18:46:52
Bielsabud, Bige disappeared yet I've wanted to give him my shorts for the longest.

23 Sep 2019 13:38:18
On to our next three matches. Charlton away, new boys doing ok but should be a win for us, shoow them what its all about. Brom at home, depends what team we put out. If we do not score first then Brom definitely will. For me even so early in season this is one we need to win to stamp some authority on the league. Think their style of play suits us but we need goals in this one. Millwall away, always a good test and as uncompromising as they come. Smith will pose a threat in the air and we will have to break them down but see it as a win. So a minimum of seven points will be ok imo. Nine would put the fear of Bubs into everyone.

1.) 23 Sep 2019 14:37:33
BB. It’s not going to be easy but I can see us bagging the full 9. The two away games being the most likely for us to get 6, and the Brom game? Well, we’ve done them over before, so why not again. They are a capable side tho, as they showed yesterday in the 2nd half. 🍻.

2.) 23 Sep 2019 15:27:50
They also walloped us 4-0 in early part off last season when we’re going quite well. And watching bits off there game yesterday. I can tell we are going to struggle at set pieces especially corners as they are a big team and they will know we struggle fri corners and high balls into the box. So I for one not looking forward too that match.

3.) 23 Sep 2019 16:15:45
Went to the away game at West Brom last season, and although they have lost a few good players they have replaced them well. We won't boss them as we did derby, yes we beat them 4-0 at ER but the 4-1 loss at Hawthorns was when we had a good first half, they ripped us to bits 2nd half, And we had an on form Roofe playing. Hard game to call but they are more than capable to beat us this season and they are still unbeaten.

4.) 23 Sep 2019 21:39:22
Not saying we will do them, just saying that we can. But quite clearly, they can do the same to us. They will be right up there by May, no doubt!

Sorry Gray but i think Arsenal will be wondering why their player is not out on the pitch gaining experience, and you loan players to improve your squad not wrap them in cotton wool and return them in the same condition as they came. Think they will be expecting us to improve him, he can get U23 games with his own club. White is a good example of what to do with good players, play them. Even Bubs is surprised at what a good player he is but he as only found that out by playing him. If Eddie is not Bubs sort of player then we are wasting every ones time having him here.

We brought Mujica in as well who is now sat watching telly as not even making squad at his loan club. Surely we have some plan for these guys when we bring them in. Could understand Eddie sat on bench if we were scoring loads of goals but we aint. Can see Arsenals point players need time on pitch to show what they can do if he is not getting it then its wasted time for Arsenal.

Good player at this level but it was a no brainer really. Would only go to another championship club if he did not sign and he is settled here with his family, guess Barnsley did not appeal to him lol.

Think Bubs instills a strict moral code throughout the club, maybe that's why PJ had to go. Players involved a lot in community projects and visits to kiddies in hospital to ground them. Having players like Luke, KP, and Coops around helps with young ones development both on and off the pitch.

If a contract is not agreed before Jan you know he is going, how else will we pay for Costa. Not down to KP this, Radz raised the bar as far as wages go so he should be one of the top earners. Think if we are in the top two in Jan he will probably get what he wants, he wants to be at Leeds when we get promoted so give him the contract.
