I wished it had happened. Wouldn't have be long before they would have crawling back when players realised that they had one trophy to play for each season, that Real Madrid would have been ordained to win.
Plus, if the threats were to be believed, no international selection.

We have 3 points from 2 games. after we beat Newcastle at home we will be 3 points off the leaders and 6 points ahead of at least 4 teams. I would definitely take that! Early days yet. We move on. MOT.

Nobody, staking a claim today. Schmit probably best of a bad bunch. Joseph poor (as usual) Gnonto and Ramazani pretty ineffectual. Gillabougie very poor. Even Ampadu had a bad one.

Fair assessment danum. Ampadu very lax for their crucial first goal
I came in just at the end of the first half, but saw the highlights of the half, and it looked like chambers had a couple of half chances, not much Darlow could do with their first goal, but was badly beaten at near post for the 2nd goal. Pascal awful penalty kick.
Their tails will certainly be up when they come back to Elland Road for league game. Lost twice to them and haven’t scored either.
We should have started with a strong side, and if winning take off big players, instead of bringing some of them on when we’re losing. Can still pick up injuries either way. If DF clearly not bothered about a cup run, play all the youngsters and just get knocked out in the 3rd round then.

You only need to watch the goals from last season to see how valuable he was. Him and Firpo seemed to have a hand in most of our goals at the CGend of last season. I’d have Solomon back in a heartbeat.

You’re right Spanish. We actually have an extra 2 points advantage guaranteed on Sheff Utd and Burnley, or 3 points on one of them.
