Here we go again. History repeats itself. New manager before xmas, lower mid table finish, outplayed by the quality teams making us think of the same old cliches about "what if" and by new year we will be thinking (again) maybe management will get it right next season. and the cycle continues.

At least we're being financially prudent. I still feel we will end the window strongly. Jozefzoon Foyth Maddison Marriott Gayle Bryan still possibilities in my opinion.

Surely they wouldn’t have splashed the cash on a manager and no players.
I would presume he is selecting who he wants. He will also no doubt get more out of current squad than prev 2 managers. But. He may also walk any day if he doesn’t get his way.

George there is going to be a smell of desperation about us now and any chairman worth his salt will know that and hold us over a barrel. While radz has been off doing TV deals we have been put on the back burner. The early bird catches the worm and we have been asleep. Everyone can see this.

Sadly not everyone Wex!, It's a case of the emperors new clothes over at the Elland road board room with all those stooges and yes men. They may be able to see what s going on but no one prepared to deviate from the party line, hence the tripe from Kinnears mouth.

19 Jul 2018 09:59:33
I like your thinking, George, and I'm also staying positive til the bitter end of both windows. There's still a lot of wheeling and dealing to be done in the PL, until which point, certain players will be made available.

Agree2 Disagree0

19 Jul 2018 10:14:51
Wex Disagree. I don't see there being desperation. What I do see people picking up on is us being last minute. Things have become urgent and we haven't actually "signed" anyone yet. You're only desperate when there's no cash. I think it's there, just Radz is being over prudent. I'm not overly concerned just yet. There's still time.

We should be banging on the gates of Elland Road and calling for answers from these charlatans that are at the helm of this great football club. Someone needs to inform them about the history of this club and its fans and the fact that it deserves so much more than they have in their plans. Radz and Co need to step up or get out.

Spot on Wex. Two weeks to go and only two loan signings and a kid signed from Morecambe. The powers that be need to get some quality signed and fast as no matter how good the Manager is he would have to be a miracle worker to improve some of the dross that turned out for us last season.

Agree3 Disagree2

18 Jul 2018 20:37:59
Agree Wex, I think Radz priorities lie with his sports tv live streaming business. Leeds Utd is the toy that is chucked in the toy box and gets the odd bit of attention now and again.
He will not get us out of this league (not upwards anyway) and into the promised land doing things on the cheap. Wasn't anything learnt from the last season? Maybe we have a better manager/ coach but need to bring in some quality buys. As Brightwhite said last week, no good getting Gordon Ramsay in to cook and only give him oven chips.

Agree2 Disagree1

18 Jul 2018 20:41:56
The fans of this club do not need to be reading about other clubs in the division picking up the players available while we dither about taking pot shots and hoping to get a lucky break on some player from an unknown league. We are fast becoming a joke. Bringing in a manager of some quality and then flounder around in the transfer market with the likes of Peterborough playing us like fools.

Agree2 Disagree0

18 Jul 2018 22:30:43
Radz said he has a 5 year plan for taking us back to the Premier league and if we get there sooner it would be a bonus. I hope he realises for his plan to happen it is necessary to strengthen the team season upon season and if need be employing good managers and coaching staff when necessary. Waiting till year 4 or 5 of his ownership will be a car crash as players and their wages with agents fees will be god knows.
We don’t want left behind and slipping down the leagues.
It’s great he has bought back ER and is improving the clubs branding etc but it’s a concern no player transfers of note are incoming and Radz is scooping up TV rights its a worry difficult to believe he is unaware of these issues.

Guys I still feel we will end the window strongly. Radz knows money must be spent in order to compete and keep fans on side.

A 5 year plan. © Year on year we are falling behind the likes of Huddersfield Fulham Forest. I like to think we would be improving year on year.

I have a theory lads. Now hang on before you guys judge me. Maybe we have signed a big marque signing, like a Marriott and madison, or a Hernandez and a Vydra, and we are waiting for the kit launch next week to announce them in our brand spanking new home and away kit. May not be these players, may be other big names, who's to say, just a theory. Comment if you guys agree.

I've heard we've loaned a kit off Swansea!

Wats this joozlefon geezer at Brentford like?

Believable3 Unbelievable0

18 Jul 2018 13:13:49
7 goals and 8 assists last season - regular for Brentford amassing up 43 appearances. 27 years old can play on either wing but better on the right. At 5ft 8in he is only a wee man. Brentford have accepted a bid for the Dutchman, thought to be from our very own Leeds Utd.

Agree1 Disagree1

18 Jul 2018 13:24:41
Not great stats unless the bid is about $1.5 mill. Hope the B can get more from him. Looking like signing number 3. Still need solid cb and mother of a striker.

Coming out. It’s derby the bid has been accepted by. Others buds didn’t match the bees valuation.

Agree staff. Another one bites the dust. Thank god there’s still the Tunisian 3rd division. So derby and forest pitching in. Might not work for them. But Sorta better hope than no hope.

Whenever it comes to spending money on anybody decent, up to now we either pull away from the deal or miss out, it is becoming embarrassing. Please no more total unknowns from lower leagues all over Europe to make up the squad numbers before the Window closes.

Should we have tried harder to get Wilson and not so fixated on Vydra. Surely the signs were there early doors that Vydra wanted to squeeze every last penny out of a deal and his eyes were really fixed on the Prem (good luck with that young man) . I would say that technical ability, (first touch) will be foremost in Bielsas needs and from what I have seen Wilson has that in abundance. Derby are going to be a threat next year.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

18 Jul 2018 17:57:33
Couldn’t agree more, all last season we were crying out for a right sided winger. Wilson’s stats for the championship last season were excellent, very good business by Lampard for Derby. but don’t worry, we have sacko to bring back. 😬.

Looks like AR becoming the new kingpin of the beautiful gane. His company Eleven snapping up rights to broadcast Swedish Chinese and Dutch leagues.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

18 Jul 2018 13:49:05
He needs to be snapping up some new players to show the fans he is backing the Manager. Two weeks to go and only loan players in is not good enough after all the hype and spin from Kinnear.

I'll stick by what I said in terms of striker/ attacking options. Posh lads would be far better suited to the style of play that we saw last night, and getting the pair for 10-12 million would be far more beneficial to us.

A good workman like display from a very experimental team. I was thinking we would get an idea of his Stoke line up from last night, not so. I guess by the end of the friendlies we will have seen everybody. Possibly some more than once, in different roles, in different formations. I hope it will all be clear come 5 August, me, I would be even more confused. Got to say MOTM Luke Ayling. Could have grabbed a hatfull of goals. As for our actual striker, he shaped up well did (nearly) everything asked just dithered in front of goal. His last second decision making was poor. Snatching a shot when he could have taken a touch and took a touch when he maybe should have hit it first time. Hopefully just a bit of ring rust.

Squad looks a bit thin but you had Roberts Jansson Viera Klitch and the 2 Chelsea lads missing so there's 6 more to pick from. I would imagine we will get a striker a winger and another centre back so not too bad keep the faith

Looks very much the same team last night as last season. Maybe they were a little bit fitter. Where were the new signings? No viera worrying sign, hope he isn't off to Cardiff! So close to the start of the new season and we still need strengthening. Another hard season's slog to come at this rate.

Bielsa will be playing more or less a different 11 every pre season game, That's Instead of changing the 11 every half. To me I think this is better as the players will all get a better run out.
