Pontus Jansson. He has been immense of late. And for once surely no one can argue with that!

Yep, looks like he's decided to give us his all, from sounding like he was on his way out back to cult hero and I'm glad about it :)

i was worried about him this season, wondered if he wanted out and then when not starting he could of dropped his head and thrown toys out of the pram, instead he waits and when back in the team is immense. His attutude makes him a leeds hero and if he gets us up maybe even a legend.

You can tell Berms is a writer! Takes almost 60 words to say, I agree!

to right! I see myself as the Charles Dickens of this site. took him five pages to say the street was a s@@t-hole and the weather was poxy. plus dickens also didn't rate KP.

I never knew Dickens had opinions on the modern game! Maybe we should make him a club Ambassador? The Dickens Suite?

BW Chales mother Elizabeth told my grandad that it was KP who inspired him to write Great Expectations.

Bub's nuts about KP :)

Nostradamus didn’t rate KP either Bermo, but he’s also been consistently wrong!? 😉😉😉.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Oct 2018 19:22:28
KP was the inspriation behind great expectations. he was the base for Magwitch slow raggity and stocky. If magwitch was based on Aliskio he would of been quicker and not be caught and put in prison.

Reckon KP would have got that pork pie off Pip before Magwitch.

Under 23s playing at Elland Road this Friday at 1pm.

Bielsa has said he has two goals for the international break, 1. Rest for those that need it ( and presumably not playing internationals! )

2. Getting those who need it fit to play.

On that basis, Friday's game provides an opportunity, hopefully not like With Bamford! I reckon Forshaw, Beradi, Baker, Pearce, Shackleton could all get time . Hernandez and Roofe, should they be risked?

Will Brown be close to having some minutes?

Agree1 Disagree0

09 Oct 2018 19:53:03
Not sure he is close to that stage yet, not many updates on him .

Next year for young Izzy.

09 Oct 2018 20:28:39
Brown way off I believe not until new year.
Lewis Baker is pushing for a start in first team so I’d expect him to play and hopefully play well.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Oct 2018 06:30:25
Looks like Hernandez and Roofe are going to play some part in the game. With only three substitutes, it limits the permutations, Forshaw, Baker could play whole games .
The hope is that brown is ready for the first team in the new year, so might see him getting some under 23 time in December if all is going to plan.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Oct 2018 10:38:10
i know little about brown is he decent and do we honestly think he will make that much of a difference?

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Oct 2018 12:14:12
Not sure why we loaned him really. If not fit until next year then 3 or 4 weeks of Bielsa training will be lucky to see him before March. He is a good player but doubt if he his going to show us much this campaign.

10 Oct 2018 20:03:23
I think Bub wanted him early so he could brainwash him in Bielsaball :)

I look forward to the International break It allows me to do some of the jobs I avoid, painting, gardening. I might even talk to the wife.

Who’s wife do you mean 😜.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Oct 2018 10:38:49
it means i can change my focus from KP to the wife. not overly impressed with both and think they could both do with losing some weight.

Lol Bermo!

10 Oct 2018 11:27:57
But can your wife give you 45mins each way (and a bit of keepy uppy) ?

classic Bermo but hopefully your missus doesn't read this site or you will be in the doghouse until Christmas.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Oct 2018 19:24:00
she did read the site and was deeply offended i likened her to Kp, her honest response was. I am better than that p''k I scored more and still quicker than him and i'm 34 and had two kids. she is not a KP fan either and her response made me love her a little bit more.

Playing a 4-2-3-1 system with everyone fit and in form, what does everyone think would be our best front 4 from, Saiz . Alioski, Hernandez, Roofe, Bamford, Roberts and Brown ( Have left Harrison and Dallas out as I don't think they would be in contention) Its difficult to know who to pick. Saiz, Hernandez, Brown and Bamford, would be my pick with Roofe Roberts and Alioski as the options from the bench . Dallas, Harrison, Shacks, Clarke and Edmundson not even in match day squad?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

09 Oct 2018 18:46:38
I would give Harrison a go on the left instead of Alioski as I think he delivers a better cross but is very left footed and therefore ineffective on the right.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Oct 2018 20:34:08
Good shout Notts although I thought Alioski was very good last twenty minutes at weekend. He really drove us on.
But I agree Harrison looks like he could really wip some balls in from the left as opposed to cutting back on his left from the opposite side.

10 Oct 2018 10:40:07
i know i will get slated for this but i think alosiki is un-droppable. his effort and tracking back would be missed and his returns from goals and assists is as good as anyone else at the club. Harrison offers far less to the team.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Oct 2018 11:20:08
Wow! I totally agree Bermo. For me, Alioski is one of the first names on the team sheet: effort, drive and passion, which is pretty much the base requirement of any Leeds player imo.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Oct 2018 19:25:40
also and I know this is a silly argument. he is one of our top players in fantasy football, I know that is not all football is about but shows in returns if nothing else he is one of our top players.

Hi all. Just read Viduka is 43 today. Some of the media are thus doing pieces about him, most mentioning a certain 4-3 scoreline and a nearly as memorable 2-3. A cracking read in the break. Dacourt and Viduka in the same team, those were the days my friends, I thought they'd never end. la la la la la la la la la! Please excuse my preposterity, I am reminiscing.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

09 Oct 2018 15:20:12
i would put viduka in my all team leeds 11 I think he was that good and could do everything. I remember when we signed him I was talking to a cabbie who was a celtic fan who said he was great, i remember thinking he would only be average then as anyone could score for celtic how wrong i was he was pure class and could do it all.

Lazy though.

09 Oct 2018 16:39:13
Ha ha Bermo. Same for me. Talked to a Scottish Groundworker who was a Celtic fan and he said he’s the business. He wasn’t far wrong but yeh like le tiss he was a bit lazy.

Chicken balti pies made half his wages up, t' other half beer and chips ;) hell of a player tho.

Great great player one of our best ever. A tad lazy but he was a big unit so chasing down wasn’t a strong point of his. He did have Alan Smith to do all that though to be fair!
Would still make my all time Leeds 11.

The Duke would be better paired with the wildly underrated Mick Jones, he did the hard work for Sniffer.
