You might think Solomon is a bottler but he made a significant contribution to last season, as did Rothwell. The right loanees can improve a team.
I would have more concerns when you splash the cash and don't play them. We have a good example in Schmidt who had virtually no on field time. Maybe he isn't good enough but the club must have thought he was as they bought him but he hasn't had an opportunity to play and show what he's got.
