Tin hat firmly in place, but genuinely surprised in some posters saying they would not want Manor Solomon back if it was possible?

I get that it was the Championship in which he excelled last season, but from my own recollections he was head and shoulders above every other Leeds player, especially in the run in and the primary reason for us securing the title.

Certainly our most skilful player last season and beat more defenders in one on ones than any other Leeds player.

I can understand reticence based upon his previous injuries but genuinely puzzled how some would rather not even entertain his return?

Schmidt is going as our Manager obviously thinks he’s short of what we need, and it may be that Largie is not fully trusted (although personally I would love to see him given a go) so rather than invest in someone we don’t know anything about, securing Solomon’s signature seems smart business to me, in my humble opinion.

Agree 100% with you Class! Would have Manor Soloman back. Sneaking feeling he will be back.

Solomon not able to play in midfield is he? I thought that was why we were after pax cause he was able to do both. Not against solo but not 100 convinced he prem quality. Agree class he shone in the run up. If we not looking at an out and out starter for 30 then Solomon at 12 and beundo at 12 would fill the bench. But to me. Neither would set the world alight. Although you’d have to say history says solo beats Rama to the team sheet. Me?
Winger and striker. 30 each.

We need players who will massively improve the first eleven.
Perri Bijol and Stach are the only three imo so far.

I would definitely like to see Solomon back.

I agree I would welcome Solly back.

You only need to watch the goals from last season to see how valuable he was. Him and Firpo seemed to have a hand in most of our goals at the CGend of last season. I’d have Solomon back in a heartbeat.

Chaps, come on. This is just a strange coping mechanism!

Solomon is not the answer and is not good enough for the prem level we need.

He is no better than Rama or Willy.

He would be a waste of £20+ m

And believe me now Levy knows we’re were able to go big for Paixao he will try over charge for Manure.

If Manor is the level after missing Paixao then we may as well give up and accept relegation now.

Aim higher fellas, do better!

And he’s apparently injured yet again.

Solomon not for me neither
Would seem like a consolation prize now, he done well in Champo, and I feel that's his level, mind you we still have Baracus ?.

Gotta agree Dave. Solomon a good squad player but definitely not at 20 million. Five million i'd snap him up as cover though.
Just over two weeks until season starts and we need TWO marquee signings imo. Paixao was a disappointment but it’s time to get the number 2 on our list asap.
6/ 10 for recruitment so far and anyone who thinks it’s been an excellent recruitment drive so far is delusional.
Only three of the new signings are a clear upgrade and we needed 5 at a minimum.
I’m really hoping for a new striker or a top class wide player to arrive this week. Better still the two of them.

I agree, definitely not at £20m+, but as I said, I would have him back at the right price.

100% class. Dave if it was left to Willy or Ramazzani at the end of last season we wouldn’t have clinched title. sol stood up when asked the question. Funnily enough Willy looked a better player when he broke into the team in the premiership, than he did in the championship. Got a feeling if piroe gets the service, he will get a good few goals this season. Go get hamer. He’s the inspirational pablo type player we need in attacking midfield. Sargent anyone? Could he step up to the premiership? He scored quite a few goals and decent assists in a very mediocre Norwich side.

Liked Solomon and would welcome him back. We don’t know anything about Paixao and I bet no one knew who he was until we made a bid for him. Impressive stats but that was in the Eredivisie and not the Premiership, better known players have failed in the Premiership.
He’s gone now and my attention is re fixed on the possibility of Solomon returning as our left winger.
He’s tried and tested and ready to go as far as fitting straight back into the squad.
Fingers crossed he becomes available as far as I’m concerned.
If it wasn’t for his goal we might not even be in the Premiership!

Clark, how can you say that opening statement?
I could counter that by saying if Ramazzani had played the full 90mins we would have been 0-4 up at half time.

My opinion is that if Largie had played the minutes Manor did he would have had a better G&A than Manor did.

Largies ceiling is higher, and he is already at the club therefore saves us atleast £20m to spend on an actual upgrade or toward that stardust striker we need.

He would be no good in the Premier League, if you're saying a good Championship season means he's good enough for the Prem then let's sign Josh Sargent and Richard Keogh

We need MUCH better to survive.

Is that not very reason why we gave Manor easily over £1million quid in wages last Seez OP?

19.) 30 Jul 2025
30 Jul 2025 10:49:03
Well Chris you could say for him earning his 1Mill in wages and delivering in what he was paid to do, he has won us in part, well over 100 Mil.
The main reason for Solomon coming was not solely the money, he came to improve his game and give his bosses at Spurs something to think about, because ultimately he would prefer to be playing in a Champions League qualifying club.
Ambition to succeed in your professional sport doesn’t only equal money.

20.) 30 Jul 2025
30 Jul 2025 11:29:25
Of course Op, he came for. game time, he came to try improve, I fully accept those things

But in return he was rewarded handsomely.

You just know it's a bugbear of mine, singing praises for someone who is ultimately just doing his job .

We don't do for any other occupation, so why do so many do it for multi millionaire footballers?

I agree with you Class, I am surprised that so many people don’t think Solomon is good enough for the Premiership. I am pretty sure after the last game of last season, everyone on here was saying the number one priority was to sign him.
I would have him back in a heartbeat, he is better than Rami, Willy and DJ.
