You have to sympathise with Maguire, after all he thought both challenges were made by Policemen. He had no idea that he was at Wembley. He was convinced that he was on a short family holiday in the Greek Islands.

Did he ask the ref, do you know who iam?, or had the Denmark player been hassling his sister? Sure he will get the red card set aside!

i have seen a photo of his sister and nobody in the right mind would hassle her with anything less than a cattle prod.

He is obviously out of form and needs to get away from it all for a week or two. Greece is still nice this time of year.

Hey Chris Chris, way before the 90s. Look up who we did 5-2 in 1970 - I was there and it was a great day out. Pitch was a mess not like the Axminster they play on today!

The shameful/ shameless yank owners and their now forever stained clubs Liverpool and Man U should seriously be charged by the supposed guardians of the game the FA for bringing the game into serious disrepute with ( some of ) their bs anti competitive proposals

For sure the proposal to prevent clubs from legitimate takeovers and / or investment is 100 % anti competitive completely outside the spirit of fair play and probably unlawful.

the UK government should be all over that proposal to strike it out ; absolutely the EU if this was teams in France, Germany, Italy erc would immediately have struck out and come down very hard from the outset on that anti competition bs policy proposal.

I'm from when footy was a blood and guts get it down the wing and into the box type game with Big Jack and Bites yer legs doing what's necessary to stop the opposition. A;ll the best clubs had em, Tommy Smith, Chopper Harris etc.

The game has become a tippy tap luv fest with VAR increasing my annoyance.

The same 11 players used to start week in week out, often twice a week in our case.

Let the big six go play by themselves and let us get back to grass roots blood and guts football. The football league is in many ways more exciting than the Premier League and is a ton more competitive.

same mate, all this interesting, great to watch pretty football does my head in. where is the David batty types to come in, chop someone down and stop these players from playing.

same with all these goals. part of me honestly longs for a 0-0 or even better yet a gritty 1-0 win with no shots on target but we score from a delfection. and don't even get me started on VAR.

The problem is if we ever want to win anything meaningful again or be considered the best club in the UK and possibly Europe we need to play the game as it is today despite its many faults. Personally the wages that footballers get these days annoys me. Even a carp player can take home a weekly wage that is more than I earn in a year.

It’s become a girly game no contact sports where you see players rolling around holding there legs crying out load, then comes the magic water and up they get like nothing happened, can’t understand why the NHS isn’t using it would save a lot of Money and beds space.

New stuff for me. Agree with whiteman though about the magic water.
But I prefer the clean passing free flowing visionary football of today. Players are paid more, fitter and more skilful. Some of the football the likes of Liverpool Barcelona, Real Madrid and other top euro sides play is a delight to watch.

Listening to the radio yesterday regarding project stitch up, it was said that representatives from Liverpool and Manchester Utd in the form of one of Liverpool's owners and one of the Glasier family plus Rick Parry, had contacted Greg Clarke at the FA earlier this year with the proposals for funding help for the football pyramid.
Greg Clarke stated once he realised that they were proposing the terms for the big Six as a condition he refused to back their idea's or offer support for it. Clarke said the was then told they would look at forming a break away league if they did not get FA support for this proposal.

Let’s get it out there for all us lesser teams outside the big six to go hell for leather no holds barred and give them a game to remember from begining to end. 100% full on attack. Leave nothing on the pitch. Everybody’s cup final.

This plan has been in the pipeline for quite a while and it is released at the optimum moment when the livelihood of clubs is at stake. The payment could in all tense and purposes be a one off, as there would be no guarantee of future support when the Big 6 have control of the game. EFL clubs of limited resources and ambition will jump at the chance of a cash injection but the piper has to be paid. Imagine a league where a relegated club only receives half of what they would have normally got whilst the income of the Big 6 grows. Imagine viewing rights of the Big 6 going pay per view whilst Sky and BT show Burnley vs Crystal Palace. Imagine a club looking to gain powerful investment that could take their club forward, only for it to be vetoed because it affects the interests of the Big 6. A truly awful proposal but there are plenty who will barter away whatever competition is left in football for thirty pieces of silver.

100% correct Notts, Shameful American owner's who are only intrested in how much money they can make. They have no intrest in the game, only what they can bleed from it. Strange how the 49er's now want a bigger stake in Leeds.

What would we think of shaquiri on loan from Liverpool, sure his wages are huge though. He would be that creative MF/ 10 and can unlock defenses. He not playing much and a loan to buy be interesting.

{Ed001's Note - he hasn't played much because he is always injured. Problems stemming from his hair implants apparently.}

What?
Did he keep falling over and biting himself?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - no, your teeth have a big effect on the rest of your body, it used to be an extremely common way to die was septicaemia caused by teeth or gum infections. He had tooth problems that made his bones weaker iirc. As the body was too busy fighting the infection, rather than working on healing and strengthening, he would be susceptible to injury problems.}

Yes Wex the 49ers have a very small investment 10% share

And the 49ers ce has openly stated that thwy have had no influence nor dealings at all in the club, they are just riding on the coat tails of Radz so the 49ers are in essence just investors in Leeds United certainly not owners

I am talking owners with full or majority ownership Wex.
