Indeed Class and Leeds/ Bates did not even get a very good fee just £1 million . still think his father Peter was a better keeper though.

Peter Schmichael was in the top 3 at the time, not sure Kasper has reached those heights. But yes Ken 'line me own pockets' Bates responsible for the departure along with a lot of other talent for next to nothing.

As I recall, he was sold because of his unlikeable bragging persona in the dressing room and he actually found out he was sold via a friend.

Who did we get in to replace him, wasn't it Lonegran and Ratchubka? We just missed the Play Offs then Schmeichel, Johnson and Gradel were the start of Ken's exodus of our better players.

We made big error thinking we could play our game in dreadful conditions against Leicester. Our errors were giving ball away too much via Palace. VAR verdict was not an error, it was simply WRONG, offside rule 11 says hands and arms are not considered.

The issue we have like most promoted sides is that we have a squad of championship players augmented by 4 better quality players in the window . Unfortunately, Villa aside, we can't currently cope in this league with four or five of our better players unavailable. Having said that, the players that did play the last two games failed badly to perform at their potential . Too careless in possession leading to far too many transitions against teams set up to take advantage . This has led to too much last ditch defending which looks what it is, desperate defending . Leicester you could put down to a collective bad day at the office in unhelpful conditions, against a potent attack but I saw more worrying trends yesterday, albeit we were unlucky with the offside and freak own goal . I lost count of the number of misplaced passes and I don't understand why we resorted to so many long balls, most of which failed to find a white shirt, gifting that most precious commodity, possession to the opposition . I assume a Bielsa instruction . We desperately need Rodri and KP back after the break to boost collective confidence levels . However, there do seem to be question marks over whether certain individuals can hack it consistently in this league . For me severe question marks over Alioski and Cooper short term and longer term both full backs need upgrading . I'm not sure Bielsa will see Llorente and Koch as ideal partners as many suggest as they are both right footed and although Llorente can play left side it's not his best side and was criticised playing there in Spain . Given our obvious short comings it's imperative, that Bielsa tweaks our gung ho approach, especially against low block teams, otherwise performances and results like yesterday could become the norm . It's simple, if we don't have the quality to play a certain way, then we need to find another way against certain teams or when we have too many of our better players unavailable.

NB : We have conceded two goals from corners so far this season . Our old Achilles heal . I felt MB had sorted it but on both occasions Koch was found wanting . Llorente is known as a beast in the air .

NBB : I agree the whole Berm / KP thing has been done to death and is boring as hell . So then why pray do half the posters on this site continue to wind Berm up and raise the KP thing all over again? If you know Berm won't resist another diatribe, then stop doing it!

Just put my final thoughts on kp it is a great post even if I do say so myself . sadly the Ed’s put it in the lesser read discussion page. please all on this site take a minute to read as I will not Be mentioning kp again but my thoughts and opinions have been summed pu perfectly.

Very good post RHC agree on all points except perhaps your final paragraph.

Let's be factual here : up until say just the last 7 to 10. days it has always been Berm routinely ( he can't stop himself) inserting the SAME criticism of KP into virtually each one of his posts.

Occasionally others recently have then raised the KP thing to wind Berm up but in the vast majority of cases it has always been Berm that has iniated ( Berm in a few of his posts has even agreed that he needs to stop doing so ) .

It all needs to stop because it is indeed as boring as hell but Berm is obsessed with being right about his criticism of KP and appears incensed that very few concur so I don't expect Berm will sadly ever stop.

I think we just need to admit that although it’s very exciting to watch. Tactically it’s suicide.
I mean. Crystal palace beating us 4-1. Really?
We need to learn to slow down and defend.
I love biesla. He is a great man.
But prob a reason he not won many trophies. He won’t change now. He believes in supreme fitness and attack.
But we will keep getting humbled by lesser teams.
We have the players to survive. We just need the right tactics.

We struggle against counter attacking teams due to the personnel not the boss. Palace and Leicester 2 of the teams i expected us to struggle against for that reason. We can't change the whole team in just 1 window. Keep the faith.

I have said this a few times belisa like pep is a great world class coach but below average manager, while moruinno is not a great coach but a world class manager

a coach has a style and philosophy a way of playing, a coach will make all the players better. a manager will get the right players to play the right system to get the best chance of getting three points

now I have been against belisa in the past for this very reason, however I think now in the prem I have changed my mind and despite these results I would keep the faith

yes he won't change or adapt but I think once we get our players back we will be challenging for Europe. we will have some bad results (like city do) but give it time and I think you will see us find our feet and rhythm and climb the table.

Teams that have beaten us (and others) have had more than one season in the Prem and therefore more than one window to look at and build their teams. We have not had that luxury so are entering the fray with an untried and untested set of players. Let's give them time and let the management spot our deficiences then let them solve those problems in upcoming windows. As yet, it is what it is, we have what we have. Let's keep the faith and weather the storm hoping for better weather when all are back.

Ausman, it's not the managers fault we don't have a proper quality bench. The lack of quality additional players formthe last few seasons is now clearly on show . Bielsa yes is stubborn but equally like all us posters here we all can be stubborn also, it's a human personality trait .

Last season King kinnear said we didn't need additional players to our squad, when in reality had we signed the likes of bowen, eze, mcgregor, nicholson earlier we would not now be looking at extortionate premiership prices.
