Having failed miserably to get the Bielsa burnout syndrome to stick, all pundits now seem to be queuing up to tag us with the previously unheard of expression, second season syndrome. Get ready for a summer of it. Seems to me its an expression entirely invented for those sheff utd muppetts. Got me thinking. How did we get on in our second season last time we got promoted to the top league? Oh yes we won it. Bring it on. Final point can someone please tell sky that everytime we concede a corner its now a third of a season since we conceded from one.

They have to try and generate drama from somewhere.

2.) 19 May 2021 18:41:59
Andy Cracking post! Since our second season back hasn't even begun yet, it's therefore a pre-emptive second season syndrome tag.

3.) 20 May 2021 07:55:39
Too true Andy, the most irritating and mind numbing part of football journalism today. Why not say something different or original instead of the same old mantra, over and over again and why Leeds Utd? To be honest I’d rather listen to a drunk who’s just had a frontal lobe operation talking about football than these turkeys.
"Don’t be surprised to see Leeds knocking on the door if the top four next season", that’s what they should be saying.

4.) 21 May 2021 12:40:47
Pundits only really talk about the big teams though! Give it another full season and just be interesting to see which of the Big Six will give way to the Mighty Leeds.

{Ed014's Note - Spurs! 🤣

5.) 24 May 2021 13:47:12
Both Arsenal and Spurs nearly gave way this season!

Still think we are the best team in this league but not once have we picked our best team. The Eddie or Bamford argument is for me a non discussion point. Even yesterday Eddie held the ball up better looked more of a goal threat. When drifting wide looked more dangerous than our wingers and also found time to hook ball away from near our own goal. Whether he's better off in a two we don't know because it's never been tried nor has bam as an impact sub. Either way for me Eddie must start. MOT.

1.) 27 Oct 2019 11:00:57
You serious?
We controlled the game with Bamford on and dominated but struggled in 2nd half.
May or may not be related but this seems to be a trend.

2.) 27 Oct 2019 12:04:47
But we ain't going to score the goals with Bamford as a lone striker. How many great chances has he wasted. Goals win games not how much possession you have during the game.

3.) 27 Oct 2019 13:41:24
Canada no I don't think the 2 were related yesterday. Feel it was more down to Wednesdays grip over our midfield second half. Not anti Bamford just feel eddie would score more which is what I want from a striker.

4.) 27 Oct 2019 16:30:13
Yes but it's happened 3 or more times now. I'm less likely to believe that the more it happens.
We may find out soon though if Eddie ever gets a start!

5.) 29 Oct 2019 09:34:45
Point is it is no good being in control if you do not score. Rather it be fifty fifty and we win than have 70% AND GET BEAT.

6.) 31 Oct 2019 11:28:30
Bielsabud is right.
Andy, more accurately, our 1 to 8 is the best in the league. Counts for sheet.

7.) 02 Nov 2019 22:05:12
Not sure we ate the best team in the league just yet. It’s very open. There’s no stand out team

We are currently the best defensively

That’s a team thing, not down to individuals but the inclusion of Ben white has made us better against counter attacks. Kiko is much improved

The next issue is converting chances we make

An area to be looked at in January

Think of it as a jigsaw, finished piece by piece

Keep the faith.

Sick and tired of reading Scottish supporters laying into liam Cooper after yesterdays performance. I watched the game and in my opinion he was better than most on display. The scots have historically targeted Anglo scots after their many poor results, so a player who let's face it is about as Scottish as Yorkshire pudding is bound to be a target.

Grant Hanley at fault for the first goal. Their midfielder that gave away possession was at fault for their second. Dykes should have scored at least two. Can’t see where Cooper went wrong? He jumped with Schick (Hanley’s man) to try and make it even more difficult for the striker. Didn’t work but I think he did the right thing.

Have just read 100years of leeds united by Daniel Chapman. What a brilliant read for any Leeds fan. Some really harrowing reminders of years gone by, particularly the years 2003 onwards until the great man took over. If any non leeds fan read it they would fully understand why our promotion and consolidation in premier league has been met with such delight by us leeds fans. This summer transfer window for me is so vital as if done well could set us up as a stable force for the forseeable. In orta we trust.

Again Martyn.

3.) 04 Jun 2021 09:51:29
Martyn, I want to wait and read the next 100 year sequel.

Would just like to congratulate Pontus on his promotion with Brentford. For me he was the major catalyst in uniting our fan base to the team when it was severely fractured. Obviously then taken on by marcelo to even greater heights. Now they are a team we will aim to beat home and away without remorse. Just about to fly out to Portugal for a week to gloat at anyone not in a leeds top. Bring on August.

1.) 30 May 2021 08:43:57
Gloat away Andy! Yes congrats to Pontus! Really don’t like their manager, another Frank.
In post match interview Pontus mentioned good will from Leeds fans and attributed all of Brentford’s success to Bielsa and everything he had learned from him!
So Bielsa has got a team promotion two years running 😂.

2.) 30 May 2021 09:11:11
Yes Pontus was a great player for us.

15 May 2021 19:31:16
Congratulations to leicster. You are our benchmark. We are learning from you on and off the pitch. We have nothing to learn from the supposed super six. Nothing at all.

AndyB Wakefield

{Ed014's Note - I’d doubt that very much, nothing at all to learn from City and Liverpool! 🤦‍♂️😂

1.) 15 May 2021 19:56:19
AndyB

I think I know what you mean. The way both Citeh and Liverpool acted, regarding the ESL, has really sent them backwards in my opinion. And the anonymousness of their owners was a terrible act of treachery to their fans

Leicester are a shining light. A well deserved win.

2.) 15 May 2021 19:58:00
Good post Andy B 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

As Ian Wright said when Leicester owner was hugging players showing cup to fans can’t see any of the dirty six owners doing that, still Leicester are the benchmark of all that can be good in the game the other teams are commodities like any investment fans mean nothing to them other than the Asia market.

3.) 15 May 2021 19:50:02
Radz spoke about emulating Leicester with their investments and the way they run the club. That’s what he’s referencing.

4.) 15 May 2021 20:20:15
Well said chaps.

5.) 16 May 2021 05:57:20
Off the pitch they are a well run family club. I think we can learn plenty from city and Liverpool on the pitch because they have great minds in their management.

Have not posted for a while. Got fed up with the win one game were off to Europe lose one the whole team is crap postings. Have just watched again the dvd from last season and what still strikes me is how everybody contributed over the course of the season. With all teams comes a period of evolution so when it comes to move two or three on could we not do it with a genuine thanks and good luck. It doesn't mean they are crap but perhaps not quite up to where we want to go. Never forget their contributions and desire they all showed. The squad of 2019/ 2020 will always be ledgends for what they did. We all know who may well move on but if it happens they will go with my thanks and respect.

Agree with every word Danum. We will have enough for the many ordinary sides in this league. 8 wins from 24 would give us safety.

Not sure i agree. Given some of the negative comments I've read since Friday i think it could make for a toxic atmosphere. Every negative comment echoing round the stadium. Loads of leeds fans claimed they would take 17th. You don't finish 17th by going on long unbeaten runs with no issues. A lot need to man up and at the very least give Bielsa the respect he's more than earned. One other comment I've read. David Wagner. Really. Take your head for a shake.
