Anyone with inside contacts to MC please tell him KIERON AGARD would be a very useful addition. Cheers

Yes yes, Agard would be a great signing. Make people sit up and listen. Hope we go in for him at some point

No problem he played well for Millers last year but I've NOT seen enough of him to comment if he could hack the championship i'm afraid.

Unemployment down by 120,000, the lowest for six years. LUFC Shop staff have to add so many new names to the new shirts now on sale. Is it just a coincidence?

Pleased with Doukara yesterday. Didn't get to many chances but when he did he didn't mess about! Just what we need.

Is it me or does he physically look like a premier league striker ;)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well when we were signing him EVERYONE poked fun of his stats and said he's quick, physical but can't score goals!!
Best advice I can give is watch him in person, anyone can look good on YouTube.
Make your own mind up ;)

Cooper is now a Leeds player . This has to be the strongest team we've had in a while

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Give it a few months mate, we've got some tough games coming up and we don't look like a team capable of beating teams like boro just yet. Things are looking up though :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed, with more to come apparently. Does anyone know anything about zac Thompson? Like is he even still with us?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - Didn't he get sent off in pre-season or did I dream that}

13 Aug 2014 21:23:14
must agree but we won't be world beaters overnight-cooper & sharp are good signings - amazing what 24 hrs will do- this is very positive MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

The squad has made big strides today. We seem to have a much stronger defence and the strike force is taking shape too. Billy sharp is a better goalscorer the macormack everyday of the week

Agree0 Disagree0

Sharp would do well to get 9, yet alone 29 .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - I believe Sharp is to wear number 8}

Sharp for me too!

Sharp over McCormack. because you would have said that last season . Hope he doesn't get the number 8, its the best number on the pitch.

Hockaday on Poleon:

"The challenge for him now is to come on for 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes and then eventually work his way up to starting.”

Unfortunately the only person that can make that happen is you, Hockaday, not him!

10 minutes is NOT enough for anybody to get into a game, YOU need to give him 45 minutes at least!

You have allowed Ajose to walk straight into the team without EVER having seen him play for Leeds, what sort of message does that send out to Poleon and any other rising youngster?

I can understand if Sharp is put straight into the team against Boro but Ajose? What credentials does he have, exactly?

MOT whatever, but ffs give our own players a chance rather than the deadwood from last season like hunt?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ajose scored 17 goals last season, that's why he walked straight in

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree about Hunt and Ajose but I don't get what you see in Poleon. He needs some game time on loan on at a club in a lower division to learn his trade

Agree0 Disagree0

Three managers in a row have questioned his attitude

13 Aug 2014 20:03:14
Out of our 3 main strikers now, Smith, Sharp & Doukara which 2 would you guys start with?
As much as I like Smith, I'd start with Sharp, once he's fully fit, & Doukara. Have smith on the bench to come on for the last 20-30 mins to hassle the oppositions defence.
Bye bye Morison & Hunt, thanks for all the happy memories you've given, lol.

just throwing this out there and from no particular perspective.

A few weeks ago there was a lot of suspicion of MC and his commitment to LUFC many thought he was just like Papa smurf and about to rape our beloved club.

Hock was a joke and no future and an argument proving MC was as bad as the rest.

Now with a commitment to buy ER. I think 10 signings(i'm including Cooper btw) Most from what we have seen better than who they replaced, Players saying Hock wants the ball on the ground and knows football, can I ask

What people from the for and against arguments think of MC?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think the guy has a lot of credibility - says it how it is. I genuinely believe he wants Leeds to succeed and is not simply using us to make money. I've believed that from day one, I'll stand by it and not change my opinion after 1 bad result.

Got to say although it's early days I'm a massive fan so far. He's sorting the debt, hopefully buying ER & generally kicking some arses into shape & that's just off the field. On the field ther'se no denying we needed a MASSIVE clear out & this is happening fast. We are far from the finished article but certainly on the right lines & are in miles better shape than we have been for years. GFH & Ken are you watching this is how to run a football club. Slowly but surely we're going to get there MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Mc has done more for the club in under 6mts than the 2 last owners did in all there time here. to me there are no negatives. just like people who tel it how it is. I leave the negatives to the yep, radio leeds, and assorted press who take mc out of context and allways give snippets of information. before mc bought us we were a shambles. the guy is a breath of fresh air after bates. ok so he sold rm for 11m and bought billy sharp for 600 000 mad man don't think so. mot with mc

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Aug 2014 18:21:01
Have said from day one MC is the man to take us to the premiership, he is passionate about football and likes to win. Things may change but will always be for the better. No one can question his commitment, only fools. He gives people a chance to prove themselves that's why most of his signings from abroad are loans with right to buy clause. They are all good footballers but may not adapt to our league or our country, if so they go back but it gives a year to blood our own young talents. He is a clever man with a big club to manage and I have belief he will do what he says. Smith did well last year but can't lead the line alone he is a feeder. Sharp is proven and I think Doukara will make a lot of clubs sit up and take notice but do not think he could play the whole season as he puts a lot in to his game and we have a lot of games. We will be top ten this year so let's all get behind the lads on Saturday and if Hunt gets on the pitch, but I doubt it, give him a big cheer as it may be his last chance. MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with all this I think massimo is very good for the future of the club but a comment saying ken hasn't done anything for the club he kept it running, saved us from administration and made profits, just he was a tw** and as for gfh, well they just used the club!

Agree0 Disagree0

Apart from my negativity towards Hockaday I have faith in Cellino, he's not a money grabbing ba**ard like Bates and GFH, and isn't in this for a quick buck.

However, I do have to wonder why he seems to be pinching pennies and not getting rid of the real serious outgoings, the deadwood that is Hunt, Morrison, etc?

I have supported Leeds, like many others, for more than 40 years (almost 50 now) and see some reasons for optimism at last. But Hockaday isn't one of them, unfortunately, sorry.

His body language and comments totally belie someone who really hasn't got a clue, and living on borrowed time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dreggs96, Bates made a profit? Pity the club saw none of it. As for saving us, he sold us to GHF knowing what they would do.

Sharp just speaking to ssn saying he has always had a soft spot in his heart for Leeds! Do you think He has forgot he said he would never play for us? Ha ha ha Oh some players are fickle! None the less, have to say that could be a good signing though! Dare I even say we may even be developing a bit of strength in depth? Looking forward to see the team when I'm there on Saturday! MOT

Billy sharp had officially signed on a 2 year deal it's on LUFC official twitter, what do you reckon of him?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

13 Aug 2014 15:31:12
Would people really not be happy with Sharp signing but are excited about the prospect about Wood (only a glimmer of a rumour) signing?

I'll be over the moon if we signed Sharp and not remotely excited about the Wood rumour and my reasons are simple:

Sharp 211 Championship appearances - 73 Goals
Wood 132 Championship appearances - 37 Goals

Sharp 3 times reached double figures in Championship
Wood 1 time reached double figures in Championship

Sharp Goals To Games Ratio In Championship - 2.89
Wood Goals To Games Ratio In Championship - 3.56

I know stats can be made to look favourable on whichever side your arguing for but the goals Sharp scored can't be changed and almost all of them came with very poor teams struggling at the bottom of the table and if he linked up with Doukara I could see one of them challenging for top scorer this year.

Despite a horrendous result and performance against Millwall I can actually still see us having a good season and surprising a lot of people.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would welcome either or both as they are both great strikers at this level and better than any striker we've signed in years.

Latest rumour though is that we're in for anecutti as well!

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree JBM. Its official we have signed Billy Sharp and I am really pleased. I believe he is as good as anyone in the Championship and believe we will now play some good attacking football along the floor, which will result in him scoring more goals for us than RMc will for Fulham.
We still have players to sign and really gel as a team, but I am hopeful we will have a happier season than previous ones!

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Aug 2014 16:59:18
All (and I do mean all) of us Leeds fans should be impressed by how quickly MC has reacted to the poor performance on Saturday. 3 good signings today for sure, will make a difference to us as long as we don't play Mr *unt as that is like playing with 10.

I see most people reckon for 2nd/3rd fav for relegation! no chance with MC backing us the way he has, under previous management this would not have happened for sure!

Rome not built in a day but onwards and upwards for us even if (when) we do have the odd pants performance, can't understand why any Leeds fan would be feeling negative at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant disagree with you DG vor, feeling more confident with these signings and talk of possibly more quality coming in. Our abysmal showing at Millwall had me believing little had changed on the pitch.
Looking forward to Boro game.

I personally don't think it was anything to do with milwall game, we were in for cooper 3 weeks ago and a few more.
It's down to MC/Salerno being shrewed tacticians and I think we will see 3 or 4 more moves in the coming weeks.

PATIENCE will keep the negative-worms quiet ;)

Just clicked on the News Shopper, London site as it has a link from News Now where some pathetic two bit journo wannabe has slagged Ollie Holloway for criticising his own knuckle dragging fans for Jimmy Saville taunts. I suppose she also thought it was OK for the same neanderthals to wear turkish shirts the previous year. She must be trying to impress one of the nationals who hate us with a passion into offering her a job.

I've registered and commented and am not the only Leeds fan to do so by the look of it. It would be interesting to hear what Bermondsey White makes of all this and maybe some genuine fans he mixes with.

MM

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Think holloway was spot on for comments and all millwall fans I know have made holloway right. how has a reporter got away with making these comments she has just mugged herself off and will of done her carreer and rep no favours. Millwall is normally good banter and do take the p@@s out of others and themselves which is normally funny and in good humour. I think the Turkish jokes are a disgrace two men died and that is never a laughing matter, was glad to hear it a lot less on saturday. Lots of Jimmy saville jokes are out their at the moment and think we are unlucky that we are the club he is linked to. whatever club he supported would get this, not saying its right but leeds would probably chat it if he was a known Manchester United fan or sheffield fan. However the turkish songs are the ones that offend me more personally. Most millwall lot I know agree holloway was right to say what he said and agree the saville chant is 'a bit wrong' but agree that this banter would happen other way round if saville was from Bermondsey

Also on another note not that it makes up for anything but I was the first person to ever throw up in the new den when I was seven, was at the first ever game (opening friendly against frankfurt) and I threw up on bloke in front of me seven minutes in. We were ok last night until the substitutions.
Hunt and Poleon struggled to make an impact on the game, Smith looked a bit lost at times and Wooton is not for the faint hearted, but on a plus the new signings put in a good shift( Doukara stood out) and with a few quality additions we could put a decent starting 11 out.

Taxi for Complete Hunt. Can you imagine if him and Barn Door got into a fight? They'd probably both swing and miss for a third of a decade before either connected.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I am sure that Hunt has two 50 pence pieces for feet as every time he tried to control a ball it shot off at a different angle. Unfortunately the man has become a comedy figure with plenty of ironical cheers last night every time he mis-controlled the ball. Hunt works hard but has no confidence to match his limited abilities, he will never score a goal because he believes his role is to supply flick ons therefore he is never in the positions that count to score goals. Himself and Smith did not work as a combo last night as neither were willing to chase the flick on from each other

Agree0 Disagree0

Notts white agree with everything apart from him not being in goal scoring situations, he missed an open goal on saturday (well clear off line by defender who he hit it straight at) so he is not often in goal scoring positions but when is still can safely assume he will not be troubling the score board
