Having taken the weekend to reflect over the game on Friday night, not wanting to jump to conclusions in the wake of, or manner of, the defeat. I have now come to the conclusion that we are firmly stuck in the smelly stuff. Unless the management take urgent and drastic action we will be either stuck in this division for a very long time, or even worse, if we continue with this manager and recruitment policy we will be dropping down to the lower leagues.

Having supported the whites since 1963 I have seen many ups and downs, but I do not think I have ever felt as down as I do currently. Although I will never turn away I am embarrassed to see the lack of commitment, fight and invention on the pitch. The only good thing about this season is getting our ground back, we as ever promise the world to our loyal fans and deliver nothing.

I am now in a place where whatever is said will be taken with a large pinch of salt, only action will do and it must be quick, wide ranging and cut very deep to get the diseased and rotten element out of our great club. Starting with the manager, recruitment team and the bunch of players that are not fit to wear our great shirt.

I feel your pain Ox having been around as long as you I also have seen the ups and downs. Just sit and think, not that long ago we were starved of money, paying fines for a man with a big mouth, wallowing in L1 and having points deductions thrown at us with gay abandon. Not necessarily a worse situation but definitely no better. No I am not as down hearted (yet) as you. It is a little too early to judge our manager. Give him a full season with new faces and a summer to get those faces. Let's see how good the U23 kids are, hopefully in the next few games. Bed them all in get a style imposed and just, go again. Unfortunately that's been some of the mantra for too many years but that does make us used to it a little. It's not nice. It's what we are used to but again let's start next season with optimism and the Leeds supporters main weapon - Hope.

2.) 16 Apr 2018 13:33:15
Your pain is mirrored ox

3.) 16 Apr 2018 13:39:11
More frustration, anger and a sense of inevatibilty than pain for me. A season that started so well and has just petered out to nothingness.

4.) 16 Apr 2018 19:40:04
Don't agree with you leodis that it's too early to judge Heck. His points total is rubbish as was his win ratio at Barnsley. WBA have had a disasterous time under Pardue but showing fighting spirit all be it too late under Darren Moore, just an example of what can be done. Heck is not the man IMO to take us forward, a whole season with his record and he will take us down.

5.) 16 Apr 2018 21:35:52
Oxwhite and Mezzer, agree width you both, Action need now.

6.) 16 Apr 2018 21:36:07
Agree Messer. Clement's won the same number after 5 games and Monk has already won more with a struggling team in far less games.

7.) 16 Apr 2018 21:50:28
Ah! Pardue. must be ze French Pardew, but equally bad. we are all peed off, as fans, of course we are! And equally, aand obviously, we have different points of view and opinions. That's the way it's always been. Simple fact is, can WE change it? No, we can't. As fans, we just hope that we can be given the best.

14 Feb 2018 20:19:58
In our last 5 games we have picked up 1 point, only Burton have the same record, no one is worse. If this continues over next 16 games do you think 47 points will keeps up? Happy Valentines thought for the day? #just saying

1.) 15 Feb 2018 14:09:35
anyone opposed to a sensible, sustainable, progressive 5 year plan needs to give their heads a shake

2.) 16 Feb 2018 16:46:23
alfupper it’s working for me join in now

28 Jun 2017 17:49:26
Elland Road bought back - Andrea you are starting to really impress me now. No big empty promises just going about business quietly and efficiently. We are on the way boys. MOT

1.) 28 Jun 2017 18:16:47
Andrea, I got to say you will have to go some to beat this. Top man. Now go get Messi.

2.) 28 Jun 2017 20:04:45
Elland Road is now owned by Greenfield Investment Pte Ltd so still not owned by the club but we won't be paying £1.7m annual rent.

3.) 28 Jun 2017 22:32:55
Greenfield are the parent company of the owners of Leeds United. its just a business structure.

4.) 29 Jun 2017 08:50:29
I would imagine buying the club in that way does not eat into the leeds budget and then mean we have next to nothing to spend on players . Also this means that investment can be used in the ground and on the academy.

26 May 2017 15:48:55
Nuno Espirito Santo being mentioned ex Porto

1.) 26 May 2017 20:26:48
He wants to stay in Portugal

2.) 26 May 2017 21:21:46
Wonderful country, honeymooned there, but if he's managed Porto and still wants to stay he lacks ambition

3.) 28 May 2017 10:13:33
LOL because managing Leeds united is a huge step down from managing FC Porto! Haha some of you make me laugh.

4.) 28 May 2017 19:47:15
I don't think he said that. He said if you still want to stay in Portugal after managing Porto, you have no ambition. Which is true. How can you top that exactly? Going to Benfica? But that's a sideways move.

5.) 28 May 2017 22:59:28
Right so based on your view then Alex Ferguson staying at Manchester united was him having no ambition? Being a manager at a top level team is what all ambitious managers want.

6.) 30 May 2017 14:10:29
He's going to Wolves anyway.

15 May 2017 10:00:05
Trust Massimo to create one last "hurrah" for the press with the Pontus deal. True to form always on the edge. Look forward to a much steadier hand on the tiller with Rad.

1.) 15 May 2017 15:25:59
Andrea Radrizzani hasn't done anything yet Ox could have made a mark in the January transfer window but chose not to for whatever reason. Not saying he won't be good but we will see very soon.

waiting to be embarrassed once again, shan't watch or listen as had enough pain this season. Only good outcome is Radz sees what Hecky really is. C**p

18 Apr 2018 06:49:11
The lower leagues are full of potential talent at a young age that never made it to the top. #justsaying

1.) 18 Apr 2018 09:37:14
I think we have enough potential talent on our books now. We need some 25/26/27 year olds who've played at a higher level than us.

2.) 18 Apr 2018 10:22:10
Totally agree SG. We need some experience to compliment the youth, and an older one to be the leader! A Strachan type personality.

3.) 18 Apr 2018 10:55:30
It would very unpopular but Joey Barton would be that kind of player.

4.) 18 Apr 2018 11:21:21
There one big problem though lads and that’s wages.

5.) 18 Apr 2018 11:34:10
I think Strachan is too old now for us

6.) 18 Apr 2018 13:53:05
Barton is the type of player that would probably be a cult hero for us. He has made enough money maybe he fancies a challenge and some way of leaving a legacy?

7.) 18 Apr 2018 14:11:53
Barton would definitely come to Leeds if we approached him.

8.) 18 Apr 2018 15:59:00
No he won’t. Been appointed head coach off Fleetwood. On 3 year deal. Wants to have a go at coaching. I would say he will be a nightmare too play under if you don’t work and put the efffort in. Hey. Maybe he should have came too us. ⚽️⚽️👍👍

9.) 18 Apr 2018 16:07:04
Fleetwood manager so no there then

10.) 18 Apr 2018 16:37:51
Manager? That's news I missed! Would've had Barton here at the drop of a hat!

11.) 18 Apr 2018 17:35:30
Well Charlie Adam instead then lol

12.) 19 Apr 2018 13:30:45
Barton? Adam? pair of thugs and donkeys

07 Apr 2018 14:58:56
Big test today for Hecky lose this and he is a gonner

1.) 07 Apr 2018 16:43:38
A draw certainly isn't going to give him any credit either. Not one thing has changed in terms of performance. I'm not buying this confidence stuff either, he has had long enough to deal with that. I don't think he could motivate a mouse in a cheese factory.

19 Mar 2018 18:04:10
We are on the worst run i can remember and have been a leeds fan since 1963. Come on on Radz sort it out.

1.) 19 Mar 2018 19:21:33
1964 for me Oxwhite, and without checking the playing records I can't remember a run as bad either. And after witnessing Saturday's performance it doesn't look like ending.

2.) 19 Mar 2018 19:52:57
Relative newcomer at 1975 but worst team/performances I can remember.

3.) 19 Mar 2018 20:06:28
From 63 to 75 there wasn't many bad ones Giles, we were spoilt apart from Cloughie's short tenure.

4.) 19 Mar 2018 20:11:03
1970 and cannot see us returning to our former status any time soon. Our plan is not working. Do not see the funding and investment required being put in from the current incumbents . Mid table, second tier at best and going backwards fast . Starting to think we could be in a relegation battle next season . It just appears to be one big mess. Looks like there might be something going on behind the scenes ? Why was McClaren at ER a few weeks back, don't think he was there to advise Rads as that is Orta's role ?

5.) 19 Mar 2018 20:11:18
Strangest season I have ever witnessed. At the beginning I genuinely believed it would be nailed on for playoffs and probable for automatics. Now, not confident we will finish top alf. Dennis Wise style.

6.) 19 Mar 2018 20:24:15
I too am a silver surfer from the days of Storrie, Lawson, Bell, Hair etc. Forgive me but we have been through spells just as bad as this. After all such is the lot of a Leeds supporter. Somehow, someday we will get out of it. Just hope I am around to see it. That word Hope again. Let's hope it all starts with Bolton.

7.) 19 Mar 2018 21:09:31
I was seven for my first game, in 1980, and I'm sure we've suffered with more dire performances than this?

8.) 19 Mar 2018 21:23:40
Records are 17 games without a win in 1947, 6 consecutive defeats in 1947 and 10 games without a home win in 1982. Glad I wasn't around in 47! The early eighties were a tough time though, another period when promotion wasn't on the agenda. Would have loved Billy to have took us back up when he just missed out in the Play Off to Charlton, and an unlucky FA Cup Semi-final defeat against Coventry.

9.) 20 Mar 2018 00:15:03
Both very painful LUFCFev.

10.) 20 Mar 2018 16:08:39
Maybe to some it's like when you were young the summers were hotter, and lasted longer maybe right but in actual fact there were some bad winters as well.

19 Mar 2018 11:33:49
Guys so many years in the wilderness and we are still going backwards. But sod em are leeds MOT

1.) 19 Mar 2018 18:17:29
I'd of said more sideways

Think you will find it was Watford and the year they beat us at the Millenium Stadium - ooh that sent a shiver through me, not a good day - stadium was brill though.

Perhaps MC being cool again - viviani to accept his terms or do one.

Shrewd move if it works

Never worth 11 Mill - all the "we don't need to sell him" stories etc pushed the price right up - well done MC, can't see any previous owners landing a deal like this!

Onwards and upwards - time to start signing some talent - fun season to come - I can't wait MOT
