Whilst I think we would currently struggle in the EPL with the current squad, you would hope with the huge increase in revenue, the 49ās would sanction an upgrade on the talent. You would hope lessons would be have been learned from last time.
To be fair, going down last season only occurred because of the total capitulation in the last 10 games. To that point, there had been 5-6 teams worse than us for the most part. Players checked out a long time before the season ended.
It would be no where near as much fun, and we would (as fans) be grieving most of the time, but I think we would surviveā¦at a āBrentfordā level if we did go up.
