Just watched the sly highlights. could they not give us any credit? still referring to us as fallen Giants! that was 15years ago, change the record! also how were wolves unlucky? does that mean scoring three away and creating loads of chances is lucky?! hmmm, surely not a bit of Leeds envy going on there?

I love to be hated by the outsiders, but more significantly lots of ex players and managers never lose the love - Becchio, Beckford, Ian Harte, Robbie Fowler, Simon Grayson, James Milner etc etc
When you truly fall in love with Leeds United, it's in your blood and will last forever - all the w**kers in the press and the TV pundits will never understand - and they are irrelevant.

Sorry, I am certainly in the "Wood is a passenger" camp. For all the good he does (and that is little) it is far outweighed by inability to hold up play and even lay off constructively.
The one thing he is not is a natural goal scorer and to say that at least he gets into the positions, is like saying the goal keeper at least nearly touched every ball that he let in? He is a luxury that needs far to many chances before he can put one away. If only he had converted of his good clean chances then we would not be having this conversation and some of our scorelines would have a healthier glow.
Hopefully Kyle Lafferty is a replacement and not a partner. Having said all that the team performed well and cannot wait for Sunday. A few good wins and we are knocking on the door.

First of all, thought we were class once doukara came on last night. really impressed with Evans, have liked him since he came in but he showed what all our previous managers were scared to do and that is change things up as soon as he notices it ain't working. Secondly I find it so frustrating how everyone thinks wood is rubbish, I mean don't get me wrong some of the sitters he misses are bad and should be scoring, but he does a hell of a lot what people don't notice. and I think if we started antenucci we wouldn't create half as much as we do. he also has 7 goals this season and highest in championship is 11, hardly a million miles away. But overall i'm so happy with where we are going, 3 points on sunday should get us in top half if results go our way. MOT.

I agree re Wood. Yes, he misses a fair few but he keeps getting himself in those positions. Last night, sitters aside, the goalkeeper made some good stops although he does have the back of hitting the ball straight at the keeper. One of these games it'll all come together and he'll get a shed load. He could still be top scorer in the league easily.

Agree wood creates chances for others. Worry is he is not putting his own chances away? Strikers score goals if his finishing was better he would be top of scoring chart. don't think wood will be happy with his game at mmoment so don't see why we should be. Not saying he is carp, but needs to sstart finding the net.

I also agree re Wood phil, posted a tongue in cheek post about the number of sitters he missed last night, but he played well and did some good stuff.

Whilst I agree partly with the posts above, he (wood) has on more than one occasion been utterly useless and idle. Let's hope Steve keeps riding his back and hope he does mange to convert more. Happy with result let's hope we can carry it foreword to Saturday MOT.

If we play Ant we have to change the system and lose the midfield battle. Wood is the only player who can play the lone striker. It's not his natural game and if we have plenty if the ball, which we did yesterday, then we work hum harder than he has probably worked before.

The worst thing would be not creating chances, the fact that we are missing them is frustrating, but 1 or 2 will go in if we carry creating 1 or 2 will go in and his confidence will pick up.

What has happened to Doukara? If that that is the new norm and he has improved that much then it's like signing a new player (for free)
I haven't seen every game this season but I've listened to the ones I haven't seen. To anyone on here who has seen every game, is that the best we have played this season, at least from when he brought Doukara on?
I was screaming at the TV for him to bring Mowatt on, not Doukara, how wrong I was.

I think we same glimpses of what he could do when he first signed for us. The trouble with the Dook is, he could be unplayable if he could be bothered, which last night proved. Some great touches for a big unit.
Could be top man management by big Stevie E, or could just be down to the man himself, pulling his finger out and getting fed up playing for under 21s.
Either, or, gives us a great new option.

Agree mm Doukara is a very good player glad evans gave him a chance, feared he wass going the wway monty did. You got to look at the way we werre playing when he was last in. He will shine if we are playing an attacking game. Top marks for big steve.

Like the rest of you thought WHAT when Donkeyara came on but what a shock, what a change, what a sub, Evans obviously watches keenly at training and has no favourites (OK maybe Wootton) . fair play to Doukara and Evans show us what you can do, we love it.

Wood does create uncertainty in the opposition defence and the chances are coming all around him, BUT he has to sharpen up or be replaced, he is supposed to score more than the rest. If he had been sharp this season we would be up in the play off spots. Come on big Steve, give him a tug for Erwin and if necessary put him on as sub, he needs a shock to sharpen up and cannot think he is first on the team sheet.

Great win though lads 3 more on sunday please.
