Spurs allegedly have agreed a new loan for Solomon with Fiorentina believed to have included a buy-option clause worth around £8.7m in the agreement.

Seems good value, but we probably have higher priorities following Rodons injury and the striker cover requirements.

Maybe we don't but Willy G isn't getting much game time (and I wish he was) and if we're not going to play him then he could be sold at a big profit. At £8m Solomon would be a good, cheaper replacement. MS came up with goals at the right time last season.

We've already got a 4th centre back (Bornauw) who's yet to make his first PL start, and didn't even come on when Joe Rodon had to come off at Sunderland. We're told we've maxed out our spend under PSR, so a striker or an AM are more pressing needs unless Farke just doesn't fancy Bornauw.

If Farke really doesn't fancy him then best to cut our losses and get rid, but I don't see us making much profit on the deal. What potential buyer is going to lay out £5m+ on a player with no game time to be seen. A loan could be dooable, but again won't bring in much cash.

Here we go again with people producing shopping lists of new players we '"need". Firstly, in the Jan window the chances of acquiring good enough quality players are slim, unless you can splash the cash, which we can't, so we need to prioritise. Do we need a new GK, Mes is likely with us til June, so if Darlow signs a contract extension probably no. We've got 3 decent wing backs, so do we need another, no again. We've got 4 CBs so OK there too - someone even suggested sending Bornauw (a CB) out on loan and getting another CB in on loan, really, what's that all about? We've got 5 CM/ DMs, so OK there too. Our key requirememts, if such are available (doubtful) are a striker to cover for any injuries to DCL or Nmecha and an AM or No 10 to add a creative link between midfield and strikers, but such players are like gold dust and everybody wants them.

We've allegedly maxed out out PSR spend, so at best we can bring in 2 new players, and even that may require some outgoings to balance the books. Apart from Harry Gray (who we absolutely should NOT consider selling) we've not got the potential to raise much cash, so our Jan transfer business will probably be little or none at all. If we can bring anyone in, then s striker or No 10 should be the key priorities.

Ox was touted around in June, and nobody took the bait then (us included) so maybe the consensus is that he's not worth the risk at that price. Maybe worth a punt at 3 to 5.
