Luke Ayling has apparently signed a new 4 year deal with LUFC.

Should get about 12 months out of him then.

01 Oct 2019 08:25:00
Good player on his day, needs to stay injury free. Glad he has signed up again.

01 Oct 2019 10:17:07
Agreed Mezzer only problem is most of his days are on the physio, s table.

01 Oct 2019 13:30:58
Good player at this level but it was a no brainer really. Would only go to another championship club if he did not sign and he is settled here with his family, guess Barnsley did not appeal to him lol.

Bub has said no need to change players or system because it was the best 60 min of his tenure and they were lucky to get a goal.
So he doesn't seem likely to change forwards or system.
Which really means he does not see our conversion rate as a problem or the fact that most of goals are conceded at the end when players tire.

The opening 60 WAS the best of his tenure. Unbelievable. But my head has been turned, and we need a change somewhere, in some way, to fix the conversion rate issue, I agree. No point being so dominant, and just drawing. I love the guy, love his tactics, his philosophy, his passion and energy, and morals. However, a change of some sort is needed.

He goes on to say that Bamford and Eddie can’t play together because Bamford needs midfield support not a fellow striker.
I like the idea of Roberts Eddie up front tbh.

24 Sep 2019 14:35:12
Leodis when you’ve done his job to his standard then call him stubborn? I doubt in either yours and my lifetime we will ever know as much as him about football. You may have done well on fifa manager on Xbox but back in the real world he’s the one earning mega money and there’s prob a reason why your not ( well you maybe but it’s not as a championship manager)

24 Sep 2019 15:25:11
Sorry Martyn, I take your point and worship the man for everything he has done for Leeds United. I (and many others) cannot help feeling that he does have a flaw in him (dont we all) that is his strong reluctance to change, or even to try a change. His perseverance with players who for whatever reason are not performing. By the way, never played FIFA so have no claims in that realm either. I fully accept the he is the manager, getting the big bucks and if his "intransigence" keeps us at number one then long may he reign. It will not stop me pointing out differences of opinion however. No doubt you will do the very same as and when the occasion arises.

24 Sep 2019 17:35:10
Maybe the difference is faith.

24 Sep 2019 18:53:02
As a Leeds supporter that was sometimes all we had.

24 Sep 2019 19:59:50
He obviously has faith in his players to do what he asks of them as I don’t think he suffers fools.

24 Sep 2019 22:09:37
I’m amazed some call him stubborn having never met the man. Is it loyalty to certain players, I don’t believe so. The team is set up to dominate and win games and more often than not that’s exactly what we do. Bielsa can’t legislate for missed chances.

25 Sep 2019 14:08:14
Cork surely Bielsa can legislate for missed chances by playing players who will score them?

25 Sep 2019 14:18:18
anyway that would seem to be the end for the argument for 442. What are you going to post about now George?

25 Sep 2019 16:50:16
Alf Nothing springs to mind.

26 Sep 2019 10:48:15
cork, people are saying he's stubnorn not on a personal level, but on a work level . Cork there should be no more argument about the merits of what's happening again at leeds this season . We have already left 7 points behind us now and we are in September .

Cork the stubbornness fans speak of is his unwillingness to TRY something different, not his personality

His tactics came a cropper last season and fans are fearful that same will happen again

Fans who pay his wages by the way so they are entitled to their opinion same as you or i are also entitled to ours .
Anyways heres hoping for a few victories now to clock up a few more on the board.

29 Sep 2019 12:55:47
Good shout chris chris.

Was reading that Adidas was preparing a bid to become our next kit manufacturer, shows what happens when your doing well seems everyone wants to be associated with you.

love adidas I hope that is true.

20 Sep 2019 13:22:39
mappa best ever leeds kits,

20 Sep 2019 19:55:27
Mappa? Is that a new make Chris.

21 Sep 2019 17:30:06

22 Sep 2019 19:01:54
mappa , what a nugget.

{Ed047's Note - has spell checker done you again?

24 Sep 2019 11:06:34
Gotta say, there’s not a single kit that I haven’t loved, maybe with the exception of the Vicar’s collar one that Carlton Palmer adorned. Would love Adidas tho, as long as it had blue, white then yellow 3 stripe trim all down the arms. That would be mint!

24 Sep 2019 20:01:10
Yea man and it would advertise Leeds pride who I support.

25 Sep 2019 14:09:05
who's Leeds pride Martyn?

18 Sep 2019 08:11:02
Reading what Carlos Corberan had to say about Luke Aylings influence on the younger players made me realise how lucky we are to have a core of seasoned professionals at Leeds! I think Coops, Pablo, Dallas and Luke are the glue holding the loanies and younger players together! Also I think they are probably good men as well with good moral backgrounds! We are very lucky! MOT.

Think Bubs instills a strict moral code throughout the club, maybe that's why PJ had to go. Players involved a lot in community projects and visits to kiddies in hospital to ground them. Having players like Luke, KP, and Coops around helps with young ones development both on and off the pitch.

18 Sep 2019 12:40:07
Agree DSW. Watching the U23’s the other night, the way the senior players gave their all like it was a league match, and celebrated passionately with them was just class. I think the whole “team” ethic is now running thro the whole of the club.

19 Sep 2019 09:41:08
Put on that shirt
Nothing else is acceptable.

16 Sep 2019 10:00:11
We came through a tough test yesterday . There were times in that game where I thought it was going to be our day and someone like Wilkes would score on the counter or Halme would score from a corner and we would loose 1-0 . Despite our concerns this season about not putting chances away and looking shaky at back we are still top with a great defensive record .

16 Sep 2019 12:22:34
A great winning run now that sees us open up a gap to second would be perfect. All teams will drop points this year we just have to make sure we drop the least.

15 Sep 2019 22:53:54
Let's be clear, we play some sharp football in two thirds of the pitch but are quite poor in front of goal. Harrison and Bamford really struggle and need almost open goals to get the job done. I wonder why bielsa continues to start with them when he has Eddie and Costa on the bench.

On the other hand he might believe that they can only have the effect later in the game when the opposition is slowing down. We lost at Swansea and we could have easily dropped points today. Eddie and Costa made the difference. Hope they can do it from the start. If they can't we may struggle in too many games. Roberts might make a difference. Good win but too much of a struggle to be re assuring.

Agree1 Disagree0

16 Sep 2019 02:23:38
Maybe not as effective bringing bam bam and Harrison on as impact subs.

16 Sep 2019 08:55:11
Yes paddy has 4 goals but 3 were tap in's, Continue the way we are going and Bielsa's stubbornness is going to cost us points as we have seen already forest + swans, Eddie is the more natural + Helder is the more skillful, yet both find themselves left on bench in place of inferior players . We all know the drill know Marcelo almost set your watch to timing of subs.
Why not make a total change and play 2 up top, let's see can Eddie get more out of paddy, gelder has to start.

16 Sep 2019 13:25:28
CC Been banging the 4-4-2 drum for ages now, at least at home. Still think Bielsa's system away and bringing on the big guns last 20 minutes has its tactical merit for some but not all fixtures.

12 Sep 2019 08:45:25
Burnley reportedly interested in Klich and will assess him throughout the season for a possible move in the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Sep 2019 23:31:02
Can’t afford him

He’s Leeds now

He didn’t quit on us when he could have

Can’t see him looking to move now.

12 Sep 2019 08:43:49
Radz has told Popey that he has no intentions of selling the club this season, but he is actively pursuing fresh investment.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Sep 2019 15:46:19
What about after this season though?

16 Sep 2019 12:21:18
Radz continues to speak about the 5 year plan so that suggests the next 3 years after this one.
