Thank god! Let's hope today draws a line in the sand, and we can now kick on. Think today the result gods have been smiling 😃 on us, big thumbs up to Barnsley, maybe Fulham getting the gitters. A few others now joining the play off push.

Three points next match, and we are looking much better. Time to ramp up the pressure on the other teams, rather than the other way around! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🍻🍻🍻.

Kalvin Phillips I have no words 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Cannot believe a premier team haven’t signed him so glad they didn’t.

Brilliant last 2 games. Rest did him good!

15 Feb 2020 17:57:19
They tried and we said no.

15 Feb 2020 07:41:04
Every game now going to feel tense, can't afford slip ups now.
Tough one for brom against Forrest, do we want brom to win and keep teams below at bay or can we still catch them for first.
My feeling is Forrest to beat them but we have to win next 2 at home.
Bristol invested well in window, unlike us!
They have some decent players, eliason, diedhiou, wells and have won 5 out of last 6
Going to plump for 2-0, bamford and klich.

Adam forshaw on his way to Colorado for hip surgery, and out for the rest of the season as a result.

correct.

12 Feb 2020 19:57:33
Is he a new signing?

05 Feb 2020 22:36:45
Am I the only one that's thinking we ought to be talking to James Milner asap about coming in next season on a player/ coach basis, regardless of which division we are in. With his attendance of last night's game at Anfield, and inspirational talk in dressing room etc, it would seem obvious that he would be interested in working on the coaching side sooner or later. Clearly he's hoping to continue playing next season ND perhaps offering him the first steps in coaching too might help convince him that next season is the time to rejoin us.

I would have thought that, if he is still here next season, Bielsa would welcome Milner as both player and nascent coach, and there can't be many managers out there who wouldn't see him as a great addition, with his incredible fitness levels, professionalism and versatility. Younger players would surely be inspired by playing with and learning from a recent winner of the Champions League and (probably also the Premier League) .

100% agreed pal! The lad is a model pro, and as he is Leeds born, would be an amazing addition to both the playing, and coaching side of the club. Now is the time to make moves!

06 Feb 2020 10:47:38
He would love to come back. It would make sense financially. He could live back at home and nip home for lunch and let the dog out. What's not to like.

06 Feb 2020 22:11:46
Maybe the dog could get a game?

08 Feb 2020 12:55:45
Thought the dog was already under contract with the Terriers.

09 Feb 2020 11:43:56
what a bunch of weak willed individuals we have in this team, a frail and crumbling team, brentford are going to toast us on tuesday. we will soon be outside the top 6. no doubt about it.

Looks like the Temenuzhkov loan is purely to gain further experience, with no option to buy. Official U23 twitter account telling him to enjoy, but to be back in 93 days!

Like any young player we sign it’s either as development for the first team or development to sell later on

Only the best will make it.

01 Feb 2020 09:17:15
Wouldn’t be surprised if we never see him again.

02 Feb 2020 19:44:01
Isn’t that the same at every club Woody?

02 Feb 2020 21:09:25
They do not usually come back, if they do its not for long.

03 Feb 2020 09:01:01
Charlie Yaylor did after all his loans, Bige.
Racking my mind for others!

03 Feb 2020 10:11:54
And then he was gone. Loans do not seem to benefit anyone at Leeds only the balance sheet. Its like we send them on loan to put them in the shop window.

06 Feb 2020 07:52:51
Klich.

07 Feb 2020 13:15:24
Great example Animal!

31 Jan 2020 08:37:07
We’ve sold 110000 shirts this year. At £40 each that equates to £4.5m in sales nitro mention other merchandise. And yet we are still broke. How?

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2020 08:57:22
Paying silly wages for Bamford and Casilla. It’s meant that other team members want parity. The yearly wage for those two and KP amount to £4.5m alone, not to mention Klich costa cooper Dallas Ayling and foreshaw.

31 Jan 2020 09:57:02
Took the words right off my finger tips Ali!
Add in all of the rest of the paid staff, ER running costs on a daily basis, TA running, upkeep, even running cost of things like ticket offices, merch stores, marketing, grounds men and the myriad of other overhead costs; Football is a loss maker. It’s how much you lose that needs to be managed.

31 Jan 2020 09:57:57
That said, those shirt sales alone are amazing, and the grey one is our best selling second strip EVER!

31 Jan 2020 10:52:04
The running costs will not have altered much from previous years unless the rents gone up so the increase in costs must be down to wages. Previous years we have done ok so not sure why we are in such dire straits this season. When you quote £4.5mill then you need to take into account last season Bam was here on same wage so not all extra. kp and Bam maybe a million more than last season. Costa and Kiko on high wages but we did offload over 15 players in summer. Not adding up for me.

31 Jan 2020 14:17:31
Plus we were told at beginning of summer there was a 20mill fund for loan players so he is not paying their wages. This is Kinnear spin doctor again.

31 Jan 2020 16:14:52
that's net price btw distribution and costs to take off.

31 Jan 2020 16:59:33
£40 Alf? Not for. bodyfit there 70 almost double . Big big money generator.

01 Feb 2020 10:28:18
The vast majority of shirt sales go to the manufacturer, as part of the deal for them to be the manufacturer (clubs are estimated to get 10-15%, though maybe more at the lower leagues) . Admittedly there will be this years shirt deal money coming in and a small boost due to increased sales on last year, but it won’t make a massive difference between the two seasons.

The increased sales will however help us strike a better deal when it comes up for renewal.

{Ed001's Note - clubs do not get a %age except in very rare circumstances apart from the merchant's cut when the sale is through the club's own store.}

O Kane gone to Luton. Good luck to him. He's had a bit of a mare!

yeah I had high hopes for him when he arrived but he fell out of favour and never seemed to get the chance to rectify the situation.
