Looking like Schmidt will be the last one through the door this window. i think it is a huge opportunity missed not getting the creative CAM that we haven't had since Pablo and could end up costing us the season if we continually fail to unlock low block defences but will have to wait and see what different dynamics the new players bring.

No 1 will question players efforts from stands, what people will question is skillset of new players, and as you say Alf the umpires in Wimbledon can tell what's desperately needed at Leeds 😂, yet here we are now yet again with it looking increasingly more like another window goes again without it.

I kinda agree Alf but what number 10 could we have got or were even in for? Hamer is a CM who’s actually been playing on the left this season and the Hungarian guy is a wide attacker.
Maybe Gnonto is the answer as I can see him scoring double figures this season from that position, probably twice as many as Rutter managed last season.

We may go for Hamer but it looks like we have cooled on that move probably due to the cost.

I think with Hamer we were testing the water in case the Sallai deal doesn't go through but I think Sallai are the player the club really want. Miles better value and a very good all round player. More versatile too which seems to be the profile we are going for. Sallai may also not go through but I believe we want him for sure.

Cluey Hamer and Piroe crossed paths in the Feyenoord youth academy as teenagers. They may have stayed in touch. Hope we complete this acquisition. Excellent player and would wind Wild up no end.

There was no evidence that a player of Piroe’s profile would fit Wilder’s needs, as clearly couldn’t be considered a replacement for Hamer - so why would the Club have proposed it. Blades have already brought in Tyrese Campbell and Kieffer Moore this summer, and promoted another striker from their academy.

The Club would have discussed it with Piroe to see whether he was remotely interested in moving to the Blades, as no point proposing a deal that the player wouldn’t buy into - so he’d be potentially unsettled regardless of whether it was ‘leaked’.

I like Erabi. Managed to watch him again after we got linked last week and I think he's got a lot of potential. Would definitely add something different to our attacking group right now. A very good physical presence is something we've missed up top for a while.
