Of the recent results looking back over them, its the Wigan, QPR, Sheff Weds and Forest ones that stick out.
Away at QPR on a very small pitch does not suit us. Same as last season.
Weds against the Snake is his Cup final.
Thought we did ok at Forest missing Philips
The Wigan result is the big disappointment out of the four.
Thought we looked back to our old self at Brentford
Think we will kick on and with a little luck be in the mix.
Hopefully we have learnt from last season and have some juice in the tank.
Before our recent dip thought 87 points for second was a realistic target.
Would take 85 points now 9 wins and 2 draws.

If Bielsa says no it’s no, don’t know if he’s wearing the right glasses, what has he got to loss anyway, he said he will be gone end of season, and he still get paid, so he’s on a win win,

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 17:24:06
On reflection it's not news just inevitability.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 17:53:08
There is no point in worrying about it, just enjoy the game if we go up we go if not so be . No will take any notice.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 19:10:53
Whitey. Bielsa really isn’t the kind of guy you’re pointing him out to be. He walks away from jobs with more money on the table, based on principles. He’s certainly not here for cash. If we go up, I think he will stay.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 21:04:54
Ho hum so

So Bielsa confirms Kiko will play against Bristol City

Is Bielsa El Loco. or El Logico? .

I want to enjoy Leeds matches with a confident feeling of 3 points

But instead its nervousness

Come on lads WIN . 3 points.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 21:47:33
Brightwhite, you miss understood the post I do like MB, but he has said that if we don’t go up he will leave, don’t think he need the money just has nothing to lose if we do or if we don’t, but I will say he’s a stick in the mud, which makes me feel it’s not going to be our year, there are some good teams pushing up and we are dropping points which is never going to be good, . not changing when he should will cost us big time, no plan B as it would seem is also problematic and he need one .

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 22:18:54
Understand yer whitey brother, but MB always says there is no plan B, because he believes in plan A. No point us asking for Plan B, when the man says it doesn’t exist.

Agree1 Disagree0

14 Feb 2020 10:19:52
That will never happen bazooka.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Feb 2020 13:27:56
Brightwhite that in it self is a cause for concern, so you stick to a plan that doesn’t work, you start losing points playoffs come closer, then you drop out of the playoffs, you carry on down and you never change you plan A cause you never have a plan B, and they call him the master, we will have to see, your right on that my old mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 13:06:00
The standard of the Championship tends to look more ordinary in comparison to how well your team is playing and their position in the league.
It looks like its very competitive when you are struggling and comparatively of a low standard when you are on top.

The FA did more damage by letting the case against Kiko drag on for so long, in comparison to the punishment ( I believe ) of a six game ban. The case hanging over him for so long would undoubtedly have a bearing on his mental wellbeing.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

13 Feb 2020 13:27:30
Accept that it must be a lot hanging over your head and the Football League have taken a ridiculously long time to come to a decision.
On the other hand if its getting to him then rest him, playing him through this is not good for the club or him.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 14:58:56
Defo needs resting this weekend, if the case is going to be heard next week. Bub has a great reason to “drop” him. I. e. “get next week out of the way, lad. ”
Different people react in different ways to these things, and I believe it has affected him a lot.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 16:17:42
I believe it has effected the fans an awful lot also watching him Brighty 😂😂😂😂.

Agree1 Disagree0

14 Feb 2020 13:41:14
Hanging over his head do me a favour, what will happen if he’s found guilty, will he lose his job never to play football again lose his home live on the street, NO, 5 games ban a small fine, and away you go. We all know it’s not nice but shouldn’t effect his game, if it is as you say it is effectIng, then it’s down to MB who should drop him, so anyone to blame is the master manger, very simple really.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 11:59:37
From what I can read into our current situation is that we probably have peaked too early. Going 11 points clear in the league by Xmas is I imagine mentally difficult to sustain or even build upon. Same for West Brom also but they seem to be gaining their second wind now.
I truly believe that we will go on a run of victories now which will define our season with auto promotion. I just think there’ll be more agression and focus in our play from now on.
I know a lot of you will say well where are the goals coming from and what about Kiko?
I think you ultimately create your own luck, the players create plenty of chances to score goals and that will happen, trust me.
Kiko is a different story, it’s really tough being a goalie, one little error can cost 3pts and he has done that on more than one or two occasions. But let’s not forget he did go through an outstanding period before Xmas. It maybe that this situation could be forced anyhow by the disciplinary action which looks like it’s going to happen very soon. Either way it needs to be resolved. !
I’m really confident about us marching on now, there will be some slip ups but the other contending teams will as well.
Bielsa confuses me sometimes stating that we played better against Forest than we did against Brentford?, but what I saw against Brentford was more hunger and controlled determination.
The goals will come.

We all hope so OP. COME ON LEEDS!

it's absolutely essential we get promoted this season . we all know the unfavourable consequences otherwise.

Agree3 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 13:26:01
Bazooka, i do believe this Leeds Utd team is more than capable of winning promotion, but you are right that the consequences of failure don’t bare thinking about, so let’s not. Leeds will win promotion this season on merit and a never say die attitude.
I have no doubt that it’ll be very tight come end of season and we’ll all have sweaty hands, continual clenching of the bum cheeks and drinking far more than we should.
I can’t allow myself to think that it will be anything less than a champagne supernova celebration in the end. 🥂
Can’t wait for Saturday 3pm.

Phil Hay stated today that Bielsa has been in charge of 78 of Leeds United matches and the team has only ever started 15 games outside the top 2 . And never out of the top 6? How impressive is that? To all those who will now say but we dropped out of th he too 2 when it mattered, that's a fact for last season, but if that was a feature of a manager we were looking to appoint I am sure most on here would be truly happy! I say most!

Believable4 Unbelievable0

13 Feb 2020 12:31:24
Although those stats are good they are also very frustrating as we didn't get promoted last season and this season it is now looking iffy

It's even more frustrating because thestandard of the Championship this season is very ordinary
. with a good gk and teliable goalscorer (s) we would be a shoe in for promotion.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 12:50:23
A damn good and thought provoking posting.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 12:58:43
Raggity 78 league matches. You can use statistics all you like. In fact it only accentuates the main point. Conversion of chances, goals only thing which matters. The 🐝 have genuine firepower and will secure automatic promotion. Playing amazing football isn't required at Championship level. If we get to the PL, it'll serve us well but only goals get us there. Our beauty and strengths are in midfield but it's not what counts at this level. We have a non addressed problem up front and in goal so these stats only frustrate even more!

Agree2 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 13:14:37
Agree All above.
2nd baz.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 13:31:48
Only want to be in the top 2 for one week - The last week!

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 13:45:35
Raggity we blitz everyone in stats but we all know there's only 1 stat that counts, Win 3 points, Draw 1 point, Loss 0 points, we have been doing a nice bit of the 0points stuff lately and as you well know Sept or October are long gone and most important part of season is now dawning and as of right now we ain't doing enough of the 3 points stuff .

Make what you will of the Bielsa stat, but it will mean nothing come April if he doesn't gain promo, and as you also know he will leave and all his stats will be worthless.

Agree3 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 15:08:43
Very impressive it is too raggity, and I understand those who say “but not there when it counts”, nonetheless no one can ignore the massive turnaround since Bielsa came and how positive that statistic is. If we had been offered such a return 3 years ago, everyone would have taken it. Personally, re 🐝, I think they will fall off, and be in the playoffs.

Agree2 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 15:57:22
I agree that the only statistic that matters is we are in the top 2 come the end of the season . But based on those statistics there is a good possibility we will . George oufirepower or lack of ut hasn't done us badly based on t, he stats! As for the bees frontline was they playing Tuesday, I only noticed the guy who was gifted their goal . Plus at no point I can remember this season have they been above us, or last season come to think of it!

Agree2 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 16:02:23
Bielsa in my opinion is the best thing to happen to us in many years, I pray he succeeds this season as him leaving us is not worth thinking about . I really believe the best teams will go up, I can't see us failing . Blind faith maybe, wishful thinking maybe, but a real possibility also MOT.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 13:03:08
Zooks Never question or analyze the decisions of a mental health patient. He belongs truly in a lunatic asylum for his lack of squad rotation especially given his style of play. In the words of Batman, what do you expect to learn from him?

Agree4 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 15:13:11
I don’t detect a joke there George, in which case, I don’t like your flippant comments regarding mental health, to say the least.
I’ve lost very good friends, due to PTSD, and other people due to other mental health issues, so it’s pretty bloody low pal.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 21:24:57
Bright You've taken my post too personally. I'm not having a go at the mentally ill. I wish them well. I don't think they should hold high positions of power and office though especially not at my football club. His style of play is fantastic but not allowing for burnout and squad rotation is about as sensible as driving a car blindfolded.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed047's Note - you’ve dug yourself a bigger hole that you’re failing miserably to get out of. What kind of ridiculous reply is that.

I don’t know whether you’re ignorant, stupid or both fella. That’s a pretty appalling outlook.

13 Feb 2020 22:25:57
Personally? George, an abhorrent post, followed by something crass. You have no integrity, nor class. I’m lost for words for once. ( I’m not, you just don’t want to see me tell them to you. )

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Feb 2020 01:12:50
I don't see much wrong with my reply. I don't wish ill on anyone or someone with a disability. I don't advocate for anything extreme such as segregation or reduction in civil liberties. Neither am I a fascist or racist. History tells us that many horrible crimes have been perpetrated by mentally sick individuals. Therefore I feel justified in seeking a slight reduction or accommodation better word in their employment opportunities to avoid bad things happening.

If that view is morally wrong I guess I'm a bad person and require re-education. Overall I feel the replies from you and Bright over the top. I don't mean any offense. Guess that puts me in the ignorant category. Wasn't the "s" word banned from the site or is it acceptable so long as an Ed writes it?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed033's Note - If you think you need to be re-educated then you could go to our Conspiracy site, which talks about the nature of reality; but you need to be at least a little bit awake otherwise it's too much for you.

Thats another 29 points or just over two points a game
means most of the others have to win 10 of their games.

25 points to be gained in remaining games leaving us on 81 points.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 10:14:02
Given. that 3 points separate 2nd to 7th, I think 32 points ( 10 wins 2 draws 2 defeats) out of 42 is an absolute minimum to get 2nd place.

The next 2 games at home are simply MUST WIN .

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 10:42:13
I predict 8 wins 4 draws 2 defeats .28 points but doubt that will be enough for 2nd . finish 4th or even 5th.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 10:55:19
What do you think will be the number of points needed to gain promotion?

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 11:45:37
Dougie - I think between 86 and 90 points.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 12:32:20
Notts, 2 Points a match would get us to 84 points. Why do you think it would need more than that as not even West Brom are averaging 2 points a match?
I think second place will be as low as the high seventies this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 13:10:28
Dougie I see 85 points securing promotion and will be the final points total of Baggies. 🐝 win title on 86. Leeds acquire another 29 points to finish on 84. That's George's take.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 13:13:24
Danum . a points total of the high 70s say 79 for 2nd place? For that to happen NOT even one team from Leeds, Forest, Brentford, Fulham, Bristol Cit etc would get more than 23 to 26 points out of 42 . possible but unlikely.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2020 13:16:51
How do we win so many all of a sudden?

Last 10 years runners up points totals: Sheff U - 89, Cardiff - 90, Brighton - 93, Middlesborough - 89, Burnley - 93, Hull - 79, Southampton - 88, Norwich - 84, WBA - 91. Average of 88.5 points. You are assuming that everyone will beat each other where I think that two teams will hit the straps and pull away. We will see at the end of the season.

Very interesting reading the predictions, but I think the most consistent factor when it comes to Leeds has been overlooked. So my predictions are:

2. FA to penalise Leeds 15 points for bringing the game into disrepute by finishing in the top 2.
