Think its a good deal not going to brentford. He would have played but Brentford have had too much success in finding amazing deals 'Moneyball' style. Pontus from us was a good example. we just can't stomach being beaten in this deal by Benham.

Levy likes to see himself as a good negotiator too but objectively that deal makes a lot more sense especially if a few logical makeweights like Rodon + cash can be thrown in.

my spurs supporting friend and I just did two hypothetical deals.

I suggested Rodon Parrot and 30m for Archie

or

Rodon Parrot (loan with promotion option to buy) and 35m

He agreed to the second deal and we shook on it.

Great shout with Parrott. Had a really good season. Composed finisher, strong runner, can interlink play, runs his lines well and is fairly accomplished in the air. Reckon it would be good business that, mate 👍.

I'd do Gray to spurs for 35m Rodon and Skipp ONLY if Archie wants to go.

I'd sneakily try and add someone like Troy Parrot to the deal too if it brings it down to 30m so be it. Adding players in positions of need + cash seems so sensible - Parrot hit 17 goals last season on loan for a relegated side in Netherlands which is a very solid return.

Surprising turn of events this morning.

Leeds have apparently rejected the Brentford bid that would have made Archie the most expensive English teenager ever.

Looks like there may be more bidders.

It might not be Brentford Dill, but personally I think he will be going somewhere, maybe Tottenham with Roden coming this way as a make weight. If they throw Skipp in as well as a big amount of cash the deal might just be a good one for us.

Like I suggested earlier, there are terms to be agreed within any fee. A sell on, or sale back will have been integral to any deal for us I would guess, plus perhaps a relegation clause for Archie himself. Also, I’m sure we will want the base payment of £35m upfront or before the end of this transfer window to enable an immediate reinvestment with no P&L knock on effects. Now all other clubs will be aware that we are no longer sales pushovers, which is great news!

So Gray going for? 35mil, good money, imo have to try go for jack clarke as cre and gnoto will be gone. James, rutter and clarke to fight for wings, then bring in creative midfielder.
