He's had the Dremel out, rounding off some of those unpredictable edges on his offensive 50pence head! šŸ˜¬šŸ˜„.

30 Sep 2025 14:47:17
That’s a pretty good look leap. Took so long lol. Oh well. First is always the hardest.

29 Sep 2025 13:52:43
Just wondering why we lost 5-0 to gunners.
We won't change our dna and then did.
Anybody know why? They are not that good right.
And why Long taking corners now and not stach.
Are we coaching Farke?
Next week it will be a taller draught excluder.
And maybe logical and earlier subs. No wait lol.
One week at a time.

Think it just happens. Football is sometimes an outcome of circumstances. A bit of luck or a moment can change anything

Arsenal are a good side and we are newly promoted. A 5-0 win was akways possible. They rose to the occassion and we s@@t the bed.

One offs are ok. I always say patterns of play etc. to me it’s a way of stepping back and trying to see the bigger picture as best as is possible.

I’m honestly impressed and we don’t know what will happen but in my opinion. Leeds will be a decent team and give most a run for money and we will be safe.

29 Sep 2025 15:08:42
Your best post so far Aus. Brilliant!

29 Sep 2025 15:11:00
He’s still not moving BA though. But if he puts JB into right advanced role and JJ into right back, then maybe you’ll be correct.

29 Sep 2025 15:31:51
Well Aus I would say your last line is the most pertinent lol. Fing is it takes time for the new players, new system to evolve, for the guys to form a relationship, but the really good thing is that we are improving and putting in really good team performances, one for all, all for one 😁.

29 Sep 2025 07:25:50
It’s great to see our new recruits evolving game by game, even perhaps a little sooner than expected.
Longstaff had an excellent game yesterday and his goal contribution was no surprise for me. It’s also great to see a player for us who can also deliver a proper corner kick. Longstaff could also notch up several assists this season from his corner kicks.
We have had some poor deliverers from our corner kicks in recent years, Jack Harrison being one of the most disappointing.
It’s more than likely the reason why we haven’t scored more goals from corners, the deliveries have been generally poor.

Just shows our strength in midfield also when we can’t give Ao Tanaka, arguably our best player last season a start.

Couldn’t agree more mate

Since the 49ners have come in our recuritment has been class.

Even the weaker siging like scmit wasn’t bad as he did a job and we haven’t lost money on him.

We don’t have the money of those in prem or Sunderland but we have formulated a plan that I think gives us the best chance of success.

The mix of great recuritment and srgt Wilko football certainly gives me hope. This is the most I’ve enjoyed being a leeds fan since leauge one (which I did love)

And the least frustrated I have been since Wilko. The o Leary team etc may of been better but ultimately they underachieved and lead to failure. Farke and this team might do the same but I honestly think we are better than the sum of our parts.

29 Sep 2025 13:14:01
poor deliveries and lack of height. we certainly have the height now.

29 Sep 2025 14:01:08
Also got a new set piece coach in and scored from corner in fist game. He could be our best signing of the season and no one knows his name.

29 Sep 2025 15:19:39
Bermo we all know you don’t need to have a set piece coach to tell the corner kick taker to get it passed the first man on the post. JH guilty of not managing to do that too many times in the past. Longstaff’s deliveries were excellent on Saturday. Wilko used to have Chris whyte on post, with Chris fairclough running onto flick on from Strachan’s corner. Always caused opposition problems. Maybe worth a try with Joe and pascal.

29 Sep 2025 15:57:53
Bit of a grey one that Bermo, DF has gone on record to say his assistant Riemer takes charge of set pieces and they have appointed 2 of his back staff to the role also, but that he believes it is his responsibility as coach, so make of that what you will, dunno!

29 Sep 2025 16:25:42
Set piece coach? First I’ve heard.,

29 Sep 2025 16:39:50
Just to clarify vid, you saying we have 3 people excluding DF who are in charge of set pieces?! And until longstaff took them on Saturday, we deployed a 6’4ā€ player to take them previously. Amazing. That can’t be right surely? Exactly what badges are required for that role? Answers on a postcard to game for a laugh.

29 Sep 2025 16:53:15
Really dunno C&J, just repeating what I read that DF said before the Bournemouth game!

29 Sep 2025 18:02:14
Ger and few other outlets including one leeds said we signed a dedicated set piece coach just before the international widows.

Clarke and Jones I do agree but now days with modern football it’s all about five margins and it seems set play coaches are vital part of the machine.

I don’t watch motd unless we are in the prem. it shocks me how many set plays lead to goals. Far more than championship i'd say.

30 Sep 2025 06:50:56
You are right about set pieces and fine margins in the Prem Berm. You only have to look at Semenyo’s goal against us, Aaronson who was used as the draft excluder positioned slightly too much to the right of goal. Semenyo obviously saw that little gap and scored his goal.
That would be Darlow’s error in not positioning him in the right place, these are little gifts to your opponents that you can’t afford to give away in this league.

30 Sep 2025 10:40:31
If we have appointed a dedicated aet piece coach he/ she isn't listed on the coaching staff, so seemingly DF and his current team take on that role like he said. Not every team has one, but you only need to look at Arsenal to see the difference they can make. Like star strikers though they're as rare as rocking horse manure.

Blimey, hubble bubble toil and trouble, Bermo, dude, stop stirring the pot, honestly lol.

28 Sep 2025 22:41:52
He’s a fantastic coach Berm, sold his whole defence and has rebuilt and started better than last season.

I rate him, Glasner, Franke, and Silva well above Arteta Pep.

But please give Amorim as many seasons as he would like.

29 Sep 2025 06:59:47
Dare I add Hurzeler to that also Class, he seems a fairly knowledgeable coach also, ya Pep and Mikel would love to see them with mid to lower league team .

If you felt we had heard all the excuses available I am sure they'd find more at a less affluent club 🤣🤣🤣.

29 Sep 2025 08:20:34
Was very impressed with Bournemouth. Very intelligent football. Smart passing angles. We had to be on our toes. Seen 14 teams play now and they the best so far. Imo.

29 Sep 2025 09:07:29
Iraola is right though we are physically stronger and energy wise. I look at our midfield now and I don’t see many teams getting the better of us over 90mins especially at Elland rd.
I can see us being a team very difficult to beat, Farke has done his homework on what is required to survive in the Premiership, I think it was McKenna who in a interview told that Ipswich simply couldn’t deal with the physicality of the Premiership, that was partly because other teams could sub like for like players seamlessly. I think for us we don’t have too many weak links, and with what we have on our bench, bar long term injuries to key players at the same time, we can make a decent fist of staying up in our first season.

It’s also a shame we had to play Arsenal so soon, they are still a far better team than us of course but they will not be getting a 5-0 result next time we play them.

29 Sep 2025 11:18:23
Vid come on mate, if posting a positive post where a great respected manager is praising our coach and team then yes I’m guilty! If I on a dog bothers site then maybe.

I agree with the names mentioned by class and others. I don’t rate pep at all in any way and never have.

Palace bloke, Brighton fella, arioela, Frank who I love and I have to say our very own have to be given praise for getting good results and playing good football. Certainly all are over achieving.

29 Sep 2025 14:46:21
Forgot about Hurzletter at Brighton Chris a very good shout, all the players and staff all really like him, even if he wasn’t born when James Milner made his debut.

He’s very passionate and overly feisty at times in his technical area, I’m told he has included himself in the players fines system for disciplinary infractions only he contributes double what the players have to pay because he says as the Coach, he should be leading by example.

Some great young coaches about though.

28 Sep 2025 19:52:22

Great player love our attacking full backs very reminiscent of the Wilko team and set up as is the whole team in my opnion.

28 Sep 2025 22:28:58
Feel so much more comfortable having him play than Firpo at this level!

29 Sep 2025 08:21:10
Yes. We nailed that bit of business.

30 Sep 2025 06:56:07
He’s got some pace to him as well, I’d like to see a 100m sprint race between him and D. J.

28 Sep 2025 15:04:38
Crazy first half stat for Villa! They have failed to make a single tackle? Eh? What? How dat happen?

28 Sep 2025 15:51:31
Loads of dives though!

28 Sep 2025 15:54:35
They were horrendous bright and yet somehow are now leading 3-1 aside from Arsenal defeat most teams don’t seem amazing, very good chance of staying up this season.

29 Sep 2025 05:38:05
Careful class opti be on your back suggesting this is a weak prem this year.

29 Sep 2025 10:24:13
Very droll Aus, what I will say on that subject is that although some teams like Wolves and West Ham might look like potential relegation candidates and they won’t be far off it I’m sure but I don’t see them free falling out this league like previous relegated teams.
As the season wears on you will see that with the physicality of this league along with injuries etc, the teams that look like they are underperforming right now will pick up and us Burnley and Sunderland will be scraping to survive.
Ourselves and Sunderland are making a great start to the season but neither of us will be finishing top half or anywhere near it.
All that to say, i wouldn't get fooled by what you see so far.
That is my humble opinion.

29 Sep 2025 11:19:45
Respect that op and can see what you are saying and logic behind it. Hope you’re wrong though.

29 Sep 2025 12:39:03
Me too Berm, but if we do finish higher up in the league then I feel we will have overachieved and that's always a difficult position when everyone concerned will expect the same or better the next season.
For example if Forest flop in their European adventure and finish below mid table then Ange’s task next season will be very difficult, if he still holds onto his job?
For me Forest dramatically overachieved last season with Nuno and I can’t help feel that their card is marked for this one.

It’s wonderful for the fans to see your team elevate to great heights prematurely but you’ve got to maintain that and that’s a very difficult task in the Prem.
Of course you can’t regulate your successes but I’m sure most coaches at the lower end of the league no matter how mad it would seem, would feel more nervous for their following season.
Who knows, maybe Nuno orchestrated is own departure with his hindsight.

29 Sep 2025 15:04:18
Yeah op I always say this and for me it’s the worst thing about football

Look at mangers like Nuno, Wilde, ispwich fella and I think farke will fall into this.

They over achieve, give a false sense of gradure by doing better than they should and as a result they get sacked

Forest sacking Nuno was haloruous and ange going to tank the team, same with Wilde getting wrongly sacked to then replace the manger they sacked him for.

Many were calling for farkes head, lucky the board ignored and stayed strong. I hope they continue with that resolve

Most will know i often call for leeds managers heads. I wanted bilsea gine after derby play off defeat, I started the chant of sacked in the morning at millwall during hockaday first game. But I do believe in farke like o have t really believed in a leeds manager since Wilko, although monk comes very close in that list

If monk had bamford, white and Harrison he’d of taken us up.

29 Sep 2025 19:07:16
Interesting point Bermo, but I don't think we can put DF with them, don't believe he has over achieved at all. Said from day one when the 49ers took over and he was appointed it was going to be good, much to Baz's chagrin. The guy is class, let's face it, 3 seasons in a row he has had to rebuild a side and produce and he has. That's not over achieving, its a measure of the man despite all of the speculation around him, I mean, how hard must that of been to read those headlined yet through it all he has remained steadfast.

29 Sep 2025 23:24:11
Berm, do you realise how silly you sound suggesting you called for Bieslas head after the derby game. The next season he took us up as champions and somehow you think you’re being clever about calling for his head? It makes no sense at all.

30 Sep 2025 00:43:31
LoveAway days

When we lost to derby I said.

Belisa is a world class coach, he has clearly improved our players and has some great ideas that bring very entertaining football capable of getting good results

However I fear he is too imbalanced and his lack of adaptability and putting square pegs in round holes will costs us.

While it may bring some success I fear Belisa shortcomings will outweigh his strengths and ultimately lead to failure

Now tell me where the above statement was not exactly spot on three years before everyone caught up and he was sacked for making us a joke team?

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but with Belisa (and Phillips) I believe I showed foresight

Now let’s hope third time in a row as I predicted great things for farke five years ago and so far so good.

28 Sep 2025 12:04:04
The free kick that led to their equaliser yesterday, well the initial free kick that went into the box, well does anyone else think Palace attacker was in front of Rodon, I am convinced he was

The initial ball now, not the ball that led to the goal.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Sep 2025 12:51:15
A little confused Chris.
Are you thinking there was an offside in that goal?
I looked for one when it was replayed, hoping, but didn't see anything close.

28 Sep 2025 14:13:55
Ya sorry Canada, I probably ballsed up my wording

It was from the initial free kick the ball into the box I really felt Semenyo was off,
He was marginally in front of Amps.

28 Sep 2025 14:26:17
Chris watching it in real time, I initially thought the player that beat Rodon to the header looked slightly ahead of him, but I haven’t seen a replay of it, so will have to go with the people that have had the chance to watch it again opinion.
But ampadu played on the goal scorer. Overall we played really well, and just very unlucky to concede another injury time goal. I must admit when we signed Longstaff, I wondered why we needed him, but he answered that, and some yesterday. Every corner he took was excellent, his tackling and positioning top notch, and completed a fantastic midfield performance with a cracking goal, which deserved to be the match winner. I want Brenda (mot’s name for him, which is very apt) Baracus to do well, but his legs are 10 yards ahead of his brain. Not even a good draught excluder in a wall. He’s facing the wrong way! Aren’t you supposed to be looking at the free kick taker?

28 Sep 2025 15:59:06
Just re-watched it Chris, I'd say Ampadu plays him on when the free kick is taken. Pretty close but just on side.

28 Sep 2025 19:50:38
Toe Semenyo's marginally ahead of him, anyways what's done is gone
1 point it. was
Cheers for replies lads šŸ‘.

28 Sep 2025 22:30:19
Even if he was, he didn't interfere with play anyway so wouldn't have been offside anyway.

29 Sep 2025 11:35:41
Bit like Pasc for Longstaff's goal.

28 Sep 2025 09:53:50
All these questions about Farke

He has done a great job for us

Who at the club knows more about the players and their ability?

And who could we get that would be better than DF and willing to come?

Ask yourself those questions and then maybe think about giving him 100% support.

I think we are in the best place we have been for the last 20+ years

We are very solid and With a couple of additions we can only get better.

What on earth are you talking about.
And we just need a couple more. Baffling.

His solo effort where he made an incredible burst of pace up the line yesterday was top drawer

Only for Baracus to go and balls it up.

28 Sep 2025 12:10:49
If he persists, one will get the other sacked.
