If we have 100 coin to spend in summer. No fringe players please. Three signings. Up to 50 on striker. 30 am and 20 on central defender. 3 starters. Shift the loanees although I'd like to keep rams. And the no good to us anymore in squad which amounts to about 5-6 players. Our starting 11 has to be better next season.

I think our game v spuds should be seen as a free hit. We win then they are down. We lose still more points to play for. I'd throw the kitchen sink at them. I'd go 4-4-2 and pummel em from the off.

Yes, I used to tell the captains that, at the beginning of every game during the coin toss. It helped keep the mood a bit jovial, and also sent a warning that if players shouted at me, and did it repetitively, they would have to accept a present, in the form of a nice colored card. ..
Most times it worked. ..

But, in fairness to the Refs, they are being told (I know a couple of FIFA guys) to allow certain things to go, and if it's bad, VAR will catch it.

Looking at Arsenal's game yesterday, that was a clear penalty, but the VAR told the Ref that there was not enough contact to award it . Again, they are being told by those in charge what they should call and shouldn't, instead of letting them make the decision.

Really want to see how many get sent off, for a second offense, when they cover their mouths to talk to each other.

Sometimes it's a very lonely and thankless job.

The players at Burnley reportedly liked Parker, so I hope the sacking has a negative impact on their performance tomorrow, especially as a fair few of them are supposedly leaving at the end of the season. A couple of early goals would do us the world of good.

Spurs a nice bit off us on that front, Aus, so at least we have that little cushion if it needs pumping.

Result tomorrow night will go a long way towards taking us out of it.

It would not surprise me if Leeds were to lose in matches vs Spuds and Hammers away, and Brighton at home.

So, imo, this weekend.

Leeds simply must beat Burnley.
And Villa must beat Spuds.

Even then, Leeds still wouldn't be mathematically safe, but it would require Spuds to beat Leeds, Chelsea, and Everton, and stay up on goal difference.

Spurs have a better goal difference than us right now, in effect.
To gain 6 pts on us and make goal difference relevant gives a minimum swing of 4 goals, making them better than us on the same points.
A win, first and foremost. A big one after that could make a difference.

Parker leaves Burnley! Great timing. Whether we see an improvement in their performance Friday is doubtful; they are 20pts for a reason.
