Boston, do you live in Boston Lincs and if so, are you a gold member. I need to purchase a second ticket for the Reading game and therefore I need to find a member to create a friends and family account. Living relatively close to Boston we could meet and I could use your membership details to purchase a second ticket.

what's your thoughts?

Looks like Arsenal may have decided to keep Eddie at the Emirates for the rest of the season. Great news if true, as would have been awful seeing him help fire one of our rivals to promotion at our expense.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

15 Jan 2020 22:57:48
The pool of strikers available for the various Championship promotion hopefuls to vie for seems to be getting smaller by the day, due to injuries and/ or their current clubs ruling out a transfer. Makes it even more imperative for us to get a decent signing over the line asap.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 07:10:07
Looks like many on here don’t want to spend money because of the dark old day, then let’s not bother, MB will be gone end of season, any decent players will move on, then the crowd will drop season on season, Radz will sell. New owner will not be able to pay Radz his 20 million rent, Leeds will drop to leg one then leg 2, and all you will read is do you remember the dark old days,

have the faith whiteman. belisa will go, we will get a proper championship manager and get promoted. the hot tub is still luke warm.

16 Jan 2020 08:51:29
Why so positive Whiteman?

Agree1 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 08:56:31
Seems completely pointless to take him back to Arsenal, he’s definitely not going to get any 1st team games, would of had a better chance seeing the season out with Leeds.
Wouldn’t have this striker problem we have now.
Many thanks Arsenal.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 10:00:27
Whiteman, I think MB will go if we don’t get promoted, but we’re not out of it yet. We need cover up front, but there ain’t that many great goal scorers out there up for sale / loan. Personally I don’t think we’ll get anybody. The best we can hope for is Bamford doesn’t get injured and he goes on a purple patch.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2020 22:20:14
Orta is obviously scouring the world for yet more promising young goalkeepers to be kept at Thorpe Arch while Count Abad harvests their goalkeeping powers (having never been a professional goalie himself) , to pass on to the chosen few, before the unlucky ones vanish away to footballing obscurity.

Agree1 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 03:53:08
Wex . and Orta and Radz weren't doing anyehere near enough last summer window too .?

Just like last season we had just 2 first team forwards ( now only one )

Most clubs have at least 3 or 4 first team forwards for very good reason. Sheffield United had 4 last season

No other club ( in world football) has just ONE forward. incompetent by Orta.

Agree2 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 08:52:02
I said a while back rads lost a lot of money with 11 sports, which means he couldn't fund leeds and was probably using leeds to fund his other failed empires. bring back cellino i loved him.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed047's Note - Adams just said he wanted to stay and fight for his place

15 Jan 2020 21:21:36
Right can't blame the board for this 1, Adams wants to stay fair nuff.

But I sincerely hope we have others lined up and not have to endure another 16 days of drip drip drip online / newspapers, leave it till 10.58pm on the 31st and then fall flat

Surely no club could ever get involved in the scenario.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 08:56:47
The board can be blamed for choosing unrealistic targets and dithering about rather than getting it done therefore allowing time for players to change their minds. Also for not simultaneously working on other targets for if one goes wrong. They learnt nothing from last year.

Agree1 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 08:59:45

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2020 18:50:19
every window we always get the money and ffp debates. truth is while we can have an educated guess we won't know

so we have to look at bigger picture

do we think leeds is a club going forwards or backwards. now judge on that one fact

are we spending like other clubs moving forward. if not why not doesn't matter. what matters is we are not moving forwards for whatever reasons.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Jan 2020 19:30:54
Interesting post BW . in terms of playing staff that we actually own ( not loans ) it doesn't feel like we are moving forwards.

Leeds MUST get promotion this season . otherwise next season in the Championship under Radz ( minus Bielsa, KP, White, Harrison) we may not finish above 10th and have gone backwards.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2020 22:12:21
Not moving forward seriously?
We have players that premier league have offered big money for (KP) and we/ he said no, when did that last happen?
We are financially stable, we are in top two.
Allegedly have a money group looking to buy.
We play the best football we have played for decades if not ever, the world's most respected coach.
Not sure what we have to do to be considered going forward.
I think a few of us have very short memories.

Agree3 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 07:01:32
Canada you can’t keep using this dark old thing you have to move on football is big money if you want to play safe that’s ok but then you don’t need MB or so call premier players, you just need old ones happy to be playing in mid table and not interested in going up then you won’t get 30.000 going to home games and you no what that will mean. ( down down to the old dark days )

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 09:01:56
canada your post is all a matter of perspective

best coach in the world. is opinion, facts are throphies and he ain't got many. facts are results and last year he overlooked the team with the most spectatular fail in championship history. and this year he looks set to do the same

the KP bids. did they happen? spurs was linked and I know for a fact that is not true. did villa bid. was bids recjected we don't know.

what we do know is he sold roof viera and pontus for far less than he sould of (i would argue it would be better to sell KP for 30 million keep roofe pontus and veria and still have 5 million more in the kitty but again this is opinion and not fact)

we have a paper thin but talented sqaud and every year dispite investment we sell our best young and established players for too small a fee

we are second yes but it is all about where we finish and ast year we might as well finished 18th and this year could be the same

i didn't mind league one in fact i loved it as least the team did as well as it could do. and that is all you can ask.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 11:42:13
You guys are so negative you make me look positive.
If our players etc had your outlook on life wed be bottom right now.
White I only keep replying to your (and others) harping on about the need to spend big I don't start posts about no needing to spend.
Yes you can speculate to accumulate but it's no guarantee of success. Manage your business well and you will get the right outcome, maybe not as quick but eventually.
Berm, none of us will listen to your views on KP we all know them so well!
As for MB not being the best coach, if we are so tight and sell all our best players (for a pittance) how are we doing so well?

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 14:48:26
Canada, it's not so much negativity but genuine deep concern based on the facts/ blueprint of last season currently being repeated all over again this season in all aspects.

Failure, choking, lack of mental strength, exhaustion, hitting a brick wall call it what you want as to what happened last year . but crucially the quality and quantity has not been improved in the squad added to the question marks over the players mental strength at the business end of the season.

We live in hope but if promotion doesn't happen this season after again being in the top 2 at New Year I now think Leeds will not ever be promoted under the ownership of Super Radz.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 18:13:42
i don't know how we are doing so welll

ask huddelfield, sheff utd, norwich, blackpool, wigan, borumouth, swansea who also did really well. in fact etter from a weaker position than us.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2020 17:56:22
I know it's all hypothetical currently, but any name. you would fancy to come as striker. realistically right now .
Don't think I fancy Gayle I think he a bit injury prone, for me Vydra is the fit

Realistically we ain't going to get no one big IMO.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Jan 2020 18:11:05
Just thinking the same Chris. There is only about sixteen weeks left in the season.
A big statement of intent by bring in 3 or 4 faces would go down very well.
The feeling after last years failure is not something I want to experience again.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2020 18:37:40
realisticly no one is likely

partly as rads won't spend money

and also belisa. he had two loan players and didn't use them and most stirkers are stirkers and belisa doesn't want that

galye, adams ian wright. will not make belisa team and would you want to bench warm for bamford when the manager don't roatet. let's just pray we don't pick up any injuries.

In reply to a thread from yesterday.
Who have we sold totalling over 30 million in the last year? I must have missed it or the ole grey matter is letting me down.
We haven't paid for Costs as yet but also probably haven't received all of Roofe and Jansson money yet.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

15 Jan 2020 12:05:58
Think there is the best part of £30m from the player sales below, the figure is rounded up slightly with the benefit of wages ion free transfers
1
Jack Clarke Spurs
£9.90m
2
Pontus Jansson
Brentford
£5.54m
3
Kemar Roofe Kemar Roofe
Anderlecht
£5.40m
4
Bailey Peacock-Farrell
Burnley
£2.48m
5
Samu Sáiz
Girona
£2.25m
6
Caleb Ekuban
Trabzonspor
£900k
7
Pawel Cibicki
Pogon Szczecin
£405k
8
Tom Pearce
Wigan
£293k
9
Aapo Halme
Barnsley FC
£203k.

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Jan 2020 12:11:58
Plus Malik Wilks . £1 million?

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2020 12:20:24
But as mentioned yesterday we have not received 30 mill.
Amortized, so money will come in over time.
Probably same with Costa, we will pay over a few years.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2020 12:23:48
Add to this
Taylor £6m
Viera £7m
Bridcutt £1m
Wood £15m

That is the best part of £60m in transfer fees and an annual turnover of about £50m
We have about 20 senior pros on an average wage of £20k per week, about £20m.
Plus Bielsa and team £4m a season? , then club running costs £6m?

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Jan 2020 13:18:19
We sold 15 players in the summer, as i stated in a post below. 25mill approx was paid for just 5 of those. People need to check before they start making statements and saying people are wrong and deluded about what are facts. Yes payments will be deferred as some of ours will be. As i have also said we will not know true figures until accounts published. Cork you have no argument, check yourself.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2020 13:21:12
You can only assume QSI may not be investing, if they were I would have thought the incoming quality ST transfer saga would not be such a drawn out uncertain deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2020 13:45:49
And we have not bought Costa yet he is on loan.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2020 13:59:29
I totally forgot about the Clarke transfer. Alzheimer’s setting in! ’
Without wishing to carry on the debate we have signed Bamford and costa for I believe 22 million. Just saying😜.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2020 15:10:52
Not quite as simple as sales and transfers in. Selling a player who has not requested a transfer generally means that the selling club has to settle the players contract. There will be signing on fees to be paid to a player that has been signed (10% of transfer fee? ) . The money agreed for a sale or purchase will not be transferred in it's entirety. Renewing contracts will include a signing on fee as well as an increase in wages. We still pay rent on TA and Elland Road (touchy subject but a fact) . Administrative cost - Again could not detail what they are and I have always thought they were high but they are still a cost to the club. Bielsa's salary. Maintenance at Elland Road - All that work at the back of the Kop is not free. Not defending Radz because I do think he takes a wedge for owning the club but other factors do determine our profitability.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2020 16:09:48
I was just going to say exactly that! Thanks Notts!

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Jan 2020 09:10:50
Big Bielsa fan and very much more pro Rads than against. My only concern is for the club with one of the highest incomes in the league we are joint lowest spenders . This is over 3 windows now.
It has and could again cost us very dear.
Where is all the money going because it is not going on players.
Not looking to break the bank, just if we had brought in 2 more players in each of the last 3 windows, think how much stronger the squad would be.
Just want to see the club do its best and not be used as a cash cow.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2020 11:22:45
I can only assume the thinking is. Spend big and gamble for 120mill or spend nothing/ v. little, no gamble, and take 80mill.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2020 11:53:22
A gree Leodis, think when Acer and Radz took control it was with the intention of making us a better club and more attractive for future investors, that's what they do, that's the aims of the company. Their best case scenario was, and still is, promotion. However budgets will be decided by the company as a whole not just Radz. At the end of last season a budget of 20mill was agreed for loan signings for following season. I guess that a budget or strategy for purchases was also agreed. If profits are used to pay off debts fine then we have less in the kitty but are more desirable for potential buyers. When Radz said their was a 3 or 5 year plan it was about maximising the clubs potential to gain the best possible resale price. Yes they want us to go up but will not gamble with finances to do so. Nothing against this as think we have progressed well as a team and a club. The fans are back and we are challenging for top spot again. However if we had owners whose priority was success and not just financial success guess they would be investing a bit more at this stage.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2020 12:03:14
Bielsabud if Leeds do not go up this season . do you think they will still be challenging for too spot or even top 6 next season . with no Bielsa, KP, White, Hatrisom .

Bazooka if we do not go up it may take a miracle to keep Bubs and we will certainly sell players, KP being the most likely. Without Bubs would not get the quality loanees we have. I guess it will be Radz gamble failed let's start again. Do not agree with Radz strategy but nowt we can do.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Dougie Freedman, imo.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2020 12:23:52
Max Gradel was probably the best winter window signing we made. Sam Sodje was good too.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2020 16:37:38
I think the windows came in for the 02/03 season. Our January record ain't great - in relatively recent times, they've included Bouy, DeBock, Billy Whitehouse, the McKay Brothers, Morison.

In terms of good ones, by the end of this season either Tyro or Forshaw could prove to be a hero, but perhaps more likely still to be on the injury list.
I may be wrong, but we probably need to go back as far as January 2010 for any player who made a significant positive impact - to Max Gradel.

Kilkenny and Johnson were both signed in Jan 2008, but their contribution may be up for debate, and I don't recon they trump Gradel. Likewise Tresor Kadol and Tor-Andre Flo the previous season did bits - but nothing notable. Early flops include Seb Sorsa, Gylfi Einarsson etc, etc.
So in conclusion, for me it's Gradel.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2020 18:47:22
gradle sam sodji where amazing and was naylor a winter singing (loved him proper defender) loved johnson but hated kilkenny with a passion (almost as much as KP)

not a jan window singing exactly but best ever one must be lee champman. we needed a goalscorer and wilko brought in the big man. then we went up. oh yeah and won the league.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2020 21:15:16
No the window should not be scrapped, clubs who have their targets identified and do their business quick are to be. commended because at times fresh blood is required to improve a promo drive or a relly dogfight .

Leeds on the other hand are the complete opposite and their lack of action is what causes the frustrations not the window itself

Complaints to Mr Kinnear lads 😂😂😂.

Yes Batty, this season all last Championship fixtures are at 12.30 on 2 May. All last Prem fixtures are that day too - kicking off at 3.00.

Someone else may be able to throw light on why it's a Saturday this year. The Prem fixtures had previously also been on a Sunday - last season (at least) a week later than Championship. So perhaps this season's scheduling is something to do with shortening the season ahead of the Euros?
