Few tweaks I would hope for but not expected:

Roberts in at RB (can move Gray or Byram there later if Roberts can't last the 90, as if fit I think Roberts is our best RB)

Cooper in at LCB, meaning.

Ampadu in at 6 instead of Gruev, who's looked absent and easy to bypass recently.

Start Joseph. Not a fan of Piroe, not a fan of how he plays, not a fan of his unathleticism. I want someone dynamic and eager up front.


Everything else remains the same and hopefully the extra rest and team bonding has helped the squad.

The interesting part about this season’s playoffs in the Championship is that non of the four teams finished the season with a run of good form.
Even with a positive form guide of one or two teams in these playoffs is typically impossible to call out the winner.
I also think that should we beat Norwich and meet Southampton in the final, their double against us will have absolutely no bearing on the result.
In fact I think if we do reach the final I would personally prefer that we play Southampton than Corberan’s WBA.

I agree. Brom were better v Leicester than saints were against us. I’m hoping we prevail but Brom are my favs if we don’t.

Summerville has his talents but is someth8ng of a on trick pony.

Run at defenders feint left, cut in to right and curl one inside far post.

Saints overcame this well in last game by having s3cond defender "trailing" slightly behind the play thus cutting of the inside jig - with no where else to go Summerville was bereft of further ideas.

Reading between lines from earlier in season I also think there are some character traits that are perhaps not helpful. In my view we should cash in during off season regardless of where we are going to be and reinvest in other positions.

Don’t forget 1970 Summerville is only 22. I’m not comparing him directly with Sadio Manè but he used to and probably still does score goals in this particular way. I would say it wasn’t until he was about 26 years old that Manè became so explosive for Liverpool with his pace and variety goals and that’s not forgetting his assists.

Jimmy has a long way to go to reach a similar outcome as Manè and I can see him improving a lot more with time. I still believe he can develop further at Leeds United and Farke but Firpo is no Andy Robertson and will need better players around him more and more to develop and hone those skills.

Ed I wouldn’t dare to make any comparisons directly with Manè to our own player, obviously Manè was an exceptional player even when you rightly say in his early twenties at Southampton and Salzburg.
I perhaps shouldn’t have used the greatest African player of all time who I am a great fan of as football fan.
As Summerville is at the moment I see him with a lot more potential in his future and I personally feel that will be at a bigger club than Leeds Utd.
There have been rumours floating about for a while now of his potential transfer to Liverpool. I don’t think he’s good enough for Liverpool at this moment in time but Arnie Slot might know a little more about his compatriot and maybe interested?
I’d be interested in your thoughts and perspective on that, if any?, considering your already wealth of talent on the left with Diaz, Gakpo and Jota.

There’s several posters on here that don’t rate him and feel he has a bad attitude as you may have already read .

{Ed001's Note - Jota is very injury prone and Diaz lacks end product, so it only really leaves Gakpo. I have to say I am not convinced by the little I have seen of your player, but Slot will only have a small say in transfers. It is not going to be like Klopp, with him having the final say.}

I'll be honest and admit that I have no idea how we are likely to go in the play-off games.

We have been putting in Jekyll and Hyde performances for many seasons now and you can never tell which team will turn up to play on the day.

I do however have a few very confident predictions:

1. There will be a mix of contributors saying "I told you so" or "you were wrong again" after the fat lady has sung.

2. I will be wishing I had a dollar for every time the word intent was used during the transfer window.

3. Regardless of what happens and what division we are in, we will all be back again next season to do it all again.

Long live the hot tub of hope and the prophets of doom but, as always, I will hoping and cheering for my team to win.
