Just 8 days left of window.. still not a peep of Leeds United signing a striker or left back..

Assuming Perri stays.. Feels possible no more incomings this window.

We have made 4 good signings replacements.. but it's currently just a 6 /10 window for me without a striker and lb. Gawd knows how a few rate it 9 or even 10.

Think you're right there, Baz, I'm at a 6/7. Our additions have certainly been 10/10, however, we're missing numbers.

If we get a ST/LB/CAM or WG, it will undoubtedly be a 10/10 window - even if they're all back up options - to add the required depth. I think the CAM/WG needs to be a direct runner in Okafor's mold that can be classed as a 'game changer'.

I feel we lack such options. We have some solid options on the bench, but for me, the offer continuation and just fresh legs rather than material change in style, which can be imperative when chasing a result.

A lot of that youth has gone on to prove that maybe they deserved more of a chance than they got at Leeds.

I maintain that Forest Cup game should be the true assessment of Lienou. If he can handle it, they'll be comfortable running him as backup to Gudmundsson / Justin, and put more funds into a winger or forward. If he can't, then a wing back is also on the list.



I like that our offers don't meet Chelsea expectations for Mudryk, if true. He's interesting, but by no means an all in signing like Trafford.

We are light, no question, but there'll be a lot of moving and shaking before the end of the window at a lot of clubs. Maybe even a panic bid from someone.

I think most posters agree to a large extent what needs to happen in the last week of the window - a striker, a LB, a keeper and an AM/winger.
What we need, what we get, and what is the priority are completely different questions.
The keeper will sort itself out. If Perri goes, we probably get Zetterer. If nobody signs Perri, he stays as no. 2 at ER.
LB. I agree with LLF. Justin and Lineou will cover that, unless he picks up a free such as Cirkin.


We definitely need a back up striker who can match DCL. Don't know who is in the frame, but would like Fleming as he'd cover both no. 9 and 10.
Winger. We were a bit toothless going forward against Forest, so that remains a priority.
If we only got a striker and a winger with a bit of threat, I'd consider that a good window.

We've lost a versatile fullback in Byram. We absolutely need to replace him. I'd take Max Aarons in a heartbeat right now, to be honest. Low cost, and can cover lb and rb. Justin is already having to cover at lb. What if Bogle gets a knock?

Can't offer Mudryk enough guaranteed game time, so if he wants to stay in the Premier League, he'll probably end up somewhere like Coventry.
Matt O'Riley was good, but the question is whether he's ever going to fully recover from the ankle injury he sustained in 2024 against Crawley. His loan to Marseille was cut short in early 2026, and he never featured much for Brighton in the second half of the season.

His latest pre season was disrupted by illness.
He's not in Brighton's plans, but if he can recover his form, then he'd be a useful addition as an AM.
Hope it works out if true, and it doesn't end up being another Buananotte saga.

Torino apparently won't commit to Perri at the moment. Various reasons suggested, such as concerns re an injury, the need to offload some players first or they've decided that he's not a long term prospect at the price Leeds want.
It's getting a bit messy, and might be even more so if Marseille come back in, as some of the French sources are suggesting.

We can't sign Zetterer or anybody else until Perri has gone. Clubs know we want to offload him, so the loan offers will get smaller or non-existent, they won't want to pay much of his wages and will have no obligation to buy.


Unless we get an offer similar to Torino's from Juve or Marseille, he might end up staying at Elland Road. He was a decent number 2 last season, and it might be the same scenario this.

Very good signing possibly. Need one of the front 3 to work like Arronson with a 2 man mf, and he does. 4 recoveries a game. One of only 4 forwards to earn the FPL defensive-contribution bonus in a match.

Wins duels. More than any other player 18-. He has 0.51 expected goal contributions per 90m, so he needs to convert on that. It is Arronson at 18. Very interesting. Price dependent.
