Has anyone else on here tried the FM2020 mobile app. It seems ridiculously easy to do well, even for a novice. Leeds promoted first season with minimal investment and then winning Prem in first season with a addition of an experienced Romanian keeper, two German CBs, including Niklas Stark from Hertha, a young loaneeCB from Citee as cover, Serginio Dest on loan for Ajax (fat chance of that in reality) plus Moussa Marega and Oumar Niasse (I know) added up front.

I will have to give it a go. Haven't played that one.

i worked for sports interactive for years and worked on a number of the football manager games up until lat year. The touch and mobile apps are very streamlined and set up for younger players or people to play whie communiting so often is very easy (or impossible depending on who you play with) . I could never get into these versions of the game but do love the main verson, be nice to start next year without having to waste time in the championship.

Cheers For the insight Berm. Unfortunately my current situation meant I had to make do with the mobile version when looking for something to give me a football related fix pre re-start. Had occasionally wondered what you did to make ends meet while penning your plays.

i didn't earn much doing the video game did it more as I was the millwall expert which I found funny and it wound my mates up there their tin pot club had a leeds fans as there expert.

Sadly I am full time playwright although i can be seen in a number of adverts and music videos to make ends meet as alf rightly says selling my body just about pays for my smoking habbit.

Looks like Villa have been saved by that ghost goal fiasco v Sheffield Utd.

Yes absolutely scandalous.

im really glad about it, taking six points off them next year will keep us safe and send them dwn. the bunch of cheating s@@gs.

Could be argued that Bournemouth have a case for some compensation, as while the problems with VAR which may or may not balance out over the season, are matters of human judgement/ interpretation of some often flimsy rules, the hawkeye goalline issue was a matter of fact. No-one disputes that the ball was very the line, and not even Villa have claimed the keeper was fouled.

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Jul 2020 20:17:53
Absolutely Clue . feel for Bournemouth they should receive some form of considerable financial compensation for this farce.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jul 2020 20:30:48
However, as Berm suggests, it will be truly delicious if we can play a significant part in Villa's relegation next season. Imagine if our last game is against Villa, and a Bielsa masterclass condemns them to the drop and secures a European spot for us - well, we can dream can't we.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jul 2020 00:06:55
Hate Villa, so lucky to stay up. Hope we take six points of them next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jul 2020 10:20:42
Bournemouth will get compensation, it's called 3 years off parachute payments.
If they keep there manager and invest wisely they will romp the championship next season.

Any conspiracy theorist worth their salt should be able to cook up something about dark FA pro-Villa forces being at work behind all this.

Jeremy Cross of the Daily Star, let me plough some manners Into your head, with my axe.

It’s not unusual for the gutter press to be anti Leeds Utd,
we are used to it. He seems to be exceptionally bitter and twisted about our club. These are some of his comments.

“ But Leeds are now dining at the top table of English football again and need to learn some manners. And fast. The club needs to focus on showing some class, instead of being crass. “.

I want to my express my deep love ❤💛💙 and admiration for Stuarty Dallasy, Players' Player of the Year and such an obvious choice. Great season from him with a few goals. A gentleman off the pitch, always look forward to his interviews. Top beard as well.

I absolutely would like to put in words and express my deep gratitude and love ❤for King Pablo Hernandez and his thoroughly deserved Player of the Year ( a record third consecutive POTY for Pablo ) 🏆⚽️🥳

Pablo has been so essential and vital for this season's promotion!

Pablo without even one iota of doubt has been easily Leeds United most important influential player since 2004 possibly going back even further since 1992 with Gordon Strachan.

Arise Sir Pablo ❤🏆⚽️🥳 an absolute Leeds United legend!

Zooks Strach joined in 1989.

Agree2 Disagree0

26 Jul 2020 15:28:55
Yes Georgey I am ofc fully aware that Strachan joined in 1989 and he was very influential indeed up until 1992 the seaso we won the league the year I quoted

He was slightly less so in 93, 94, 95 . ok so I will amend

Pablo possibly the most important influential Leeds player since the Strachan era of 1989 to 1995.

Whenever Pablo played we looked dangerous. Sure our slump around Janusry was cause he was out. Well done Pablo.

yeah such a huge impact on our team, we all lift when he is playing. Great call on most imfluential player since strach.

I promise to try very hard not to give comment on the relative values of proposed LUFC recruits. (Well I will try anyway) . Because I feel history should have taught me (us) that for all the merits and banter around players A, B and C. Leeds will, out of the blue, anounce the capture of player Z!

the Leeds supporters speculative transfer gossip of potential Leeds signings is nearly always wide of the mark, isn't that right Georgey 😉🥴😂.

26 Jul 2020 14:17:59
True Leo, we have often signed players with no attached rumours.
Let's wait and see, like many here I just hope the signings are quick so that they all get a full pre-season otherwise we won't see them play until March!

very good original post. apart from kyle laftey and reece warbra who of course we all know will sign and of course very excited about them playing in the prem for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jul 2020 12:31:57
not leeds related in any way as we are now prem boys but had to mention it

manager of the year. klopp done amaing, belisa done amazing. Chris wilder last three years has done a job second to none and nothing short of a miricle

however this year garteh anisworth has got wycomb wanders to the championship. lowest budget of the year, nearly in admin and start of the season had just nine players two of which were trailists. league one is a long hard league what an amazing job he has done. well done to all great to see wycomb in the championship.

I think when Radz talked about 3/ 4 signings I think we have pretty much made them . meslier, Costa and Harrison and hopefully White again on a permanent deal. I think Bielsa will remain loyal to the squad and bring through some younger players and maybe there could be a striker on the way .

Believable1 Unbelievable0

26 Jul 2020 09:54:16
surely we need two Cb's even if belisa sticks with Cooper, our current 3rd choice is Beradi. surely we will get White plus one other or two Cb. Unless casey or stujik are making way for the first team.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jul 2020 10:32:29
Bielsa, won’t stay if he cannot strengthen the squad to the standard required .

Agree0 Disagree0

Think he prob thinking cooper. And see if he gets white. If not he will buy one and use struck ala berahdi this year.

Osayi Samuel. He's a player we should be looking at imo. Would fit a Bielsa side with his energy and attacking abilities. Maybe Eze can keep him company?!

Cork Good player with pace but think he's off to Belgian side Brugge. More interested in his teammate Eze.

Could Eze handle Bielsa Ball? DOUBT IT. Fat chance and no chance of Bielsa wanting him.

Osayi Samuel maybe.

Beilsa is most important signing for us.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i would agree with that WW, the thing with marco though is that his love affair with a club can end very abruptly, i would like to see james milner come in as his assistant with a view to taking over when beilsa decides to move on mate..now that would be a signing..

26 Jul 2020 07:45:20
Ed025 but Milner is on £140,000 a week for the next 2 seasons at Liverpool! so never going to happen in the next 2 years . plus very much doubt that Bielsa
Would want Milner as his assistant anyway with Mìlner having zero coaching experience as his assistant anyway # far fetched fantasy.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - you are probably right bazooka, i just think jimmy would be a great signing for leeds as his heart still lies there, consumate professional who i believe one day will make a terrific manager mate..

26 Jul 2020 00:25:55
Apparently Messi has said he wants Bielsa to be the new Barcelona manager. I'd rather Messi was the new Leeds number 10!
