Is there still goal and save of the season awards?
04 Jun 2026 09:50:37
We have already done GoS.
Team goal vs Sunderland away, clear winner.
Save of the season, so many by Darlow to mention.
04 Jun 2026 10:14:46
I meant MOTD or BBC or 90 Minutes. Used to do like top 10, and way back, used to be able to vote for it too.
04 Jun 2026 16:20:03
The EPL have issued their official Top 10. I'm not convinced personally.
04 Jun 2026 21:32:35
You will probably have missed it in Oz, but the BBC goal of the season went like this. Every month from August through to April, a goal of the month was chosen following a viewers' online vote. Our goal at Sunderland, finished off by DCL, was the clear winner for December, with all the commentary team agreeing that it was a perfect team goal.
So, by the end of the season, 9 "goals of the month" had been chosen. At the end of the last programme of the season, viewers were presented with 8 goals from which to select the "goal of the season", and guess which one of the 9 was not included - typical BBC.
05 Jun 2026 03:22:28
Wow. Bad.
05 Jun 2026 07:17:42
Don't get to watch MOTD anymore, JR, thank Bod for that, from what I read and what you've just said! That is unsurprisingly shocking!
05 Jun 2026 10:47:22
I've emailed the BBC asking for an explanation, but will not be holding my breath awaiting a response.
04 Jun 2026 00:10:03
As alluded to further down about players staying or going. With parathe stating his ambitions to tread water over next two seasons and become established.
It could mean our main stays who Iām sure have more ambition than that could be tempted away by a club in euro spots or even a club that are showing more ambition.
Players like amps, Rodon, stach, gabby etc etc. Leaving us with the also runs that no other club wants.
04 Jun 2026 09:53:53
Gabby Gudmunsson? Not that good defensively. Zero EPL goals and assists.
Junior Firpo offered more, arguably.
Leeds United's greatest left backs, Terry Cooper and Tony Dorigo. No one else close.
04 Jun 2026 11:09:26
Willie Bell and Ian Harte are worth a mention, Baz.
04 Jun 2026 13:15:06
Willie Bell is a very good shout, LUFCfeath, defensively especially.
As for Ian Harte, a good shout. Going forward, very good, absolutely sensational on free kicks. I just wish he had been quicker and a better tackler.
04 Jun 2026 13:28:22
If Harte had been a yard quicker, he would have been top class. Same goes for many other players, though! After Leeds, Harte continued to do well, especially at Reading.
04 Jun 2026 22:00:09
I think we missed a trick with Firpo. Defensively, he was a bit shaky and caught out of position too often, but great going forwards. I think he could have been a great am, which is essentially where he plays for Dominican Republic.
As for Gg, I think he's better than simple stats suggest, not a Dorigo or a TC (yet) , but shows promise, and has the right attitude. Definitely a keeper for me.
05 Jun 2026 07:20:31
Exactly right, JR, on both fronts.
Gabby has been excellent this season, and to say otherwise isn't fair. Yes, he's had errors in him, but so has every other player. That's just the level we're at for the moment.
03 Jun 2026 23:53:01
Just read that Longstaff is the second highest paid player on the active roster after DCL.
He's on over 4 million a year, almost double Stach's wage. Unbelievable.
04 Jun 2026 01:01:40
Ridiculous wage for a non starter. Ridiculous wage actually. Shoulda tried harder at sports when I was a lad.
04 Jun 2026 06:24:21
Injury blighted last season. If he stays fit, he'll be starting alongside Amps and Stach.
04 Jun 2026 07:40:29
If he's starting games regularly next season, we might as well pack up and go home. I'm just hoping a team like Hull comes in for him this summer.
04 Jun 2026 16:22:22
When he's played, he's done pretty well, setting aside some very crucial goals. I hope he gets the chance next season to show that.

03 Jun 2026 23:08:10
That shirt's a 10 from Baz. Blooming delicious.
04 Jun 2026 06:25:36
Ditto. Love it. You can see the detailing on this pic too!
04 Jun 2026 08:19:46
Looks like grandma's wallpaper. 1 out of 10, and that's for matching the logo to the stripes. Next season is gonna be painful on my eyes.
04 Jun 2026 10:00:45
So, Southern, I am curious to know your ranking for Leeds multicoloured 3rd kit this completed 25/26 season.
04 Jun 2026 11:10:24
I will have one of those!
04 Jun 2026 13:11:14
Baz, that one's a strong 8 out of 10 for me. One of the few shirts I've bought and actually worn.
04 Jun 2026 13:23:12
Really!! Southern, please tell me you are joking.
04 Jun 2026 20:23:01
The long sleeve version is even better still!

03 Jun 2026 11:52:53
Another beauty imo!
03 Jun 2026 12:16:33
Loving the retro badge.
03 Jun 2026 13:18:43
Is this an official LUFC photo?
DJ and BA here next seez then.
03 Jun 2026 13:34:17
Don't like it. Anything can happen between now and then, Baz. Think 3 of the 6 could be gone maybe. Don't get why they use players. Should use youth or models. Anyway. Don't like it.
03 Jun 2026 14:05:05
What's not to like, Aus?
It's yellow! As it always should be!
It's a billion percent improvement on the monstrosities of the 2nd and 3rd kits of 25/26. Kits in which we again failed to win even one EPL game!
All eleven of our EPL wins in 25/26 were in our white kit. Let that sink in.
03 Jun 2026 15:28:00
I don't get this home and away kit business. We should play in all white, every game, home and away, except where there's a clash with the home team (eg Fulham) . Liverpool never come to Er and play in anything but all red, so why should we go there and play in anything but all white? It's all about money really, to sell more versions of the replica kit to supporters.
03 Jun 2026 17:30:52
Photos were supposedly taken over a month ago, so I don't think it guarantees anyone's stay at the club.
03 Jun 2026 19:32:07
Hopefully we won't see Baracus & Roadrunner in that kit next Seez.
03 Jun 2026 19:51:16
Maybe not BA, as only one year left on contract.
But..
You'll defo be seeing Super DJ in that kit next seez, Chrissy.
Meet meep.
03 Jun 2026 22:09:43
Oh, that's shirts a keeper. Love the retro badge. Player wise, Mrs Class says snog Joe, marry Amos, avoid Ba. š±
03 Jun 2026 23:09:44
Amos? Sounds like someone from The Archers or Emmerdale.
03 Jun 2026 23:33:02
Blooming predictive text Amps 𤣠But Mrs C is getting on, ya know, and easily confused!
04 Jun 2026 06:27:50
Amos Brierley and his famous mutton chops!
When Emmerdale Farm was actually about a farming community!
03 Jun 2026 08:01:42
Just put pic of supposed leaked away shirt, if true, nicest in years.
03 Jun 2026 13:21:31
Apart from not having the iconic smiley badge, isn't this the same design of 2024/2025 seez?
So, yep, best design since 2 seasons ago, Chrissy. š
And Danny James looking cool. š
03 Jun 2026 17:32:03
There's a lot more detail hidden in the yellow; covered in Yorkshire roses!
03 Jun 2026 17:38:22
JR16, 100% agree. Should be white as it always was.
03 Jun 2026 19:26:55
Little known fact, the Yorkshire Rose on both the current and former LUFC club badges is upside down. The correct version is as on my avatar below, or can be seen on the Yorkshire Ridings Society website.
03 Jun 2026 21:36:38
Absolutely JR16, and I even emailed them a couple of years ago about it.
02 Jun 2026 20:19:31
Leeds keeper making more mistakes we definitely need a replacement.
02 Jun 2026 23:08:12
I haven't seen Wales match, Whitey..
But Darlow's been very good this season.
And he is the exception to the rule of utterly appalling Leeds United recruitment of goalkeepers in past 8 years or so.
Step forward the horror 5.
Perri
Meslier
Kiko
Klaessen
Wieldwald
Be careful what you wish for, Whitey.
03 Jun 2026 08:12:30
Yes, Darlow hit a purple patch this season after getting the number one spot.
He deffo should be starting next season, but he is not the long-term solution. Perri showed early promise, shot-stopping, and stature. But he never really commanded his box, and on crosses never really came to collect.
On the other side, my opinion on the Man U goal Perri was caught out on was that the ball into the box was a good one, and it didn't travel as far or as fast as the keeper thought.
It may have caught one or two goalies out.
Newcastle game, yes, not good enough.
On the other hand, Perri played with a dodgy back four, and Darlow played mostly with a solid back 5.
03 Jun 2026 10:57:00
And don't forget Marco Silvestri - some say he must have been a vampire because he couldn't deal with crosses.
03 Jun 2026 11:57:42
Despite his purple patch, Darlow is sometimes still a bit slack with his distribution, imo. Defo a great back up, but not a reliable #1. As others have said before tho, can we afford to get another first choice of quality when other areas need strengthening more? Do we stick or twist? I just dunno. Sales will decide that probably.
03 Jun 2026 12:52:32
Baz, I am not saying he's bad, but the blunders he continues to make in games show he just cannot keep concentration for 90 minutes. I'll give it to you, he has made some really fine saves, but we want consistency, which he doesn't seem to have.
03 Jun 2026 12:53:19
What Bright said.
03 Jun 2026 13:25:09
Whitey, pal, so what 'blunders' has Darlow made? Any that led to goals conceded? I can't think of one.
He has been consistently good all season, Whitey.
We have seen our recruitment teams' efforts re other gks .. they aren't good. š
03 Jun 2026 13:28:35
Bright,
Ere, Darlow's 'purple patch' was the entirety of his games played all seez.
He was uber consistent, in the top 5 of our players of seez imo.
And yes, we defo need to spend our transfer budget on far more pressing areas, namely up front etc. We need more goalscoring players!
03 Jun 2026 14:36:18
Darlow was good. Took his chance. But my grandmother was better than Perri. Good enough? Probably not. Depends on said owners' ambitions. So do you give Darlow a new 3 year contract, which I'm pretty sure he will want. Or realise he will most likely be redundant in 6 months to a year?
03 Jun 2026 16:19:31
I would be tempted to concentrate on outfield players this next season and let Darlow have another season, and then see at the end of next season.
Apart from the Liverpool game, I can't remember a real goal giveaway by Darlow.
One or two misplaced passes, maybe.
For me, don't mess with the back line at all, only if someone goes. They have all been solid.
Add to full-back cover. Then get some more firepower into the team.
03 Jun 2026 16:36:48
Ben, I agree.
Absolutely, we should concentrate on outfield players recruitment and leave Darlow as our number 1 for next season.
By the way, it was Perri (not Darlow) who blundered for a goal giveaway in the Liverpool match.
03 Jun 2026 17:42:01
Baz, tried to tap a ball to Rodon and gave it away 2 feet away from goal. Mad, just a total lapse from the man.
03 Jun 2026 20:56:42
We should all play Aus Bingo .we tick off each player he doesn't like / rate. We would all shout "Ausgo" at the same time, since he doesn't rate anyone. The bonus line would be when mentions that he doesn't like The Manager, The Owners, The Strip, The Ground oh and Yorkshire. (And England!)
Ausman, the strangest (non) Leeds United supporter on the planet.
03 Jun 2026 23:12:44
Ausbingo; that was quite funny, Ani.
Isn't Aus, deep down, a Hammer, being a born and bred Essex/East London lady?
03 Jun 2026 23:19:27
* Lad (not lady) .
03 Jun 2026 23:26:21
Yes Baz, I was thinking of the Arsenal goal where he caught the ball and took it in his goal.
But apart from that he's been good.
04 Jun 2026 11:14:58
If we do start with Darlow, I would keep Perri, or if he is on his way, look for a decent lower league keeper. There are good keepers in the Championship and below.
04 Jun 2026 13:17:25
Good suggestion, LUFCfeath.
02 Jun 2026 10:36:50
James Milner retiring at the age of 40. Seems like only yesterday we saw him scoring at ER at the age of 16 to become (at the time) the youngest goalscorer in the PL. Very well done that man. š.
02 Jun 2026 13:50:50
Yep, that superb EPL goal for Leeds vs Chelsea at 16 is forever in one's memory. He scored other good goals for Leeds too.
Well done to James on a superb 24 year footie career.
02 Jun 2026 14:06:06
100% would have loved to see him play for us, then retire. Shame we couldn't get him. Top, top bloke.
02 Jun 2026 14:06:32
Agree. Played the game 100% the way it should be played. 100% throttle and passion. Enjoy retirement Mr Milner.
02 Jun 2026 14:45:42
While a top player and professional, I never got the whole James Milner thing, that he should come back to Leeds United to see out his days. Don't think he even played fifty games for us?
02 Jun 2026 15:56:17
Yep, Corkey, 100.
Milner coming back would not have been anywhere near as euphoric as, say, when the marvellous David Batty came back to Leeds.
..and Batts had 2 long spells with Leeds.
02 Jun 2026 20:25:06
I suppose it was because he was a local lad, Corkey, and allegedly a Leeds fan, but he couldn't wait to see the back of us, and certainly never showed willing to pitch in and help us in our darker years, so I don't see him through the same rose tinted glasses as some seem to do.
Fair enough, he wanted a career at the highest level, but ultimately he chose that over us even at the end of his career, so we can't have meant that much to him.
02 Jun 2026 22:56:10
The consummate professional. Well done James. Happy retirement.
02 Jun 2026 23:12:43
Alfonzo.. James Milner, though, was/is defo a Leeds United fan.
As I saw interviews by Klopp, (or maybe it was Pep) , when the great Bielsa's Leeds United were due to play Liverpool or Citeh in 2020/21 season, James Milner had always been banging on to them about the Super Leeds United.
02 Jun 2026 09:11:20
New information released about Southampton's spygate saga reveal the extent of involvement within the club and the lengths the manager and others would go to in order to gain a perceived advantage.
Undue pressure was put on junior staff, disguises were used including wearing Eastleigh kit and evidence was deleted.
The Club and individuals consistently lied - denied that the manager and senior staff knew about it, said no footage was taken or distributed and was not used in the preparation for matches and also said, untruthfully, that they were unaware it was against the regulations.
It was summed up by the commission's comment that it was "unimpressed by some of the club's witnesses, including Eckert".
The decision to expel was taken on the grounds that public confidence and the integrity of the competition would be seriously diminished if a non sporting sanction such as a fine was the outcome.
Probably still more to come once the investigation into the conduct of Southampton staff is completed. Although the club's Chairman has today said he stands behind his manager and wants him to stay, in the end it may not be his decision.
02 Jun 2026 10:38:59
And....?
02 Jun 2026 10:57:54
....They got what they deserved. Shame the Premier League can't take the same line with any sense of urgency.
02 Jun 2026 11:12:42
There's a good chance that the FA will mandate a substantial suspension from football related activities for Eckert (and others) . If he gets a 12 month ban (possible) , they're going to have to find a replacement, like it or not.
02 Jun 2026 14:10:29
Perhaps, the FA will face its own internal inquiry into the unjust disadvantages Leeds United have received from referees in their decisions, which is clear for all to see.
02 Jun 2026 15:58:18
What Whitey said.
If only that would blooming happen.
Football needs an independent body to monitor / regulate the FA and EPL.
