Harry Wilson arriving in Leeds in the morning on a private jet from Cardiff.
Everything is already signed, so depends if the club are happy to announce it on a Sunday or will hold off till early next week.
But it is deal done.
21 Jun 2026 06:34:49
Hope so!
21 Jun 2026 07:00:20
Why would they hold off?
21 Jun 2026 00:16:43
Mon dieu
'Done deal '.
and especially.
'Contract already signed'.
my favourite words Waccoe, in the context of very long drawn out summer transfer windows!
So Waccoe, is it indeed a four year £100 k plus contract that HW signed? Feels like it must be!
21 Jun 2026 10:42:53
Being a natural sceptic, I'll believe it when I see it.
Want it to be true tho!
20 Jun 2026 14:26:40
Elvedi @ Gladbach (1 year left on deal) 👀
Diogo Leite - free agent
A couple of names the club admires for CB.
20 Jun 2026 17:06:34
We have offered Gladbach an offer of 8 m for Nico Elvedi.
Gladbach want a fee for the CB.
Terms already agreed with Elvedi.
20 Jun 2026 17:30:30
Doeckhi is another CB from Union Berlin who has been mentioned. Both he and Leite are free agents this Summer.
20 Jun 2026 23:25:27
Rumour going round in Portugal that Sporting want something like EUR80M (£69M) for Diomande, which I don't think we should (or would) go for.
21 Jun 2026 09:17:14
I don't think that was ever going to happen, even at the original price that was suggested. The fee has gone up significantly with the alleged interest in the player. Much better value elsewhere.
I've seen nothing about any of our current CBs being offered or approached. Bournauw might be surplus, and Pascal needs to sign a new contract.
20 Jun 2026 12:48:10.
LeedsITK, so any updates on Harry Wilson deal to Leeds you stated would be announced (by end of this week) ?
And is he after 2, 3 or 4 year deal? A decisive element in who he eventually chooses to sign for surely in coming days, weeks?
Other clubs such as say Villa, Everton, or still remaining at Fulham with their new coach now announced not possibilities for Wilson?
20 Jun 2026 14:53:37
End of the week is usually Sunday night, isn't it? New week at work Monday, and then weekend. Except for you lazy old retired gits, when every day is a holiday.
20 Jun 2026 15:19:12
Lol Aus, but isn't a working day in Ausland deciding on how many prawns to put on the barbie? 😅
20 Jun 2026 15:22:44
Aus, "End of week" generally refers to Friday 5pm in a professional setting.
Or weekend in a personal context.
Anyways, let's be generous and say end of week actually means next week, lol. 😆
Have a feeling even next week the Harry Wilson saga will not be concluded..
20 Jun 2026 15:35:28
Harry Wilson is still contractually a Fulham player til June 30, so anyone who expects him to sign for us or anyone else before then is likely to be disappointed, and, since Fulham are still hopeful he'll sign a new contract with them, I doubt they'll be minded to release him early from his current contract.
I'm not expecting any final decision til after June 30, and he'll have offers to consider besides ours, such as from Villa or Everton, etc. It may be by the end of the week, but which week is still to be decided.
20 Jun 2026 15:41:13
Another, very good, entirely logical post from you, JR. 👍 Top man.
20 Jun 2026 16:42:59
We literally officially announced Nmecha two weeks before his Wolfsburg contract expired last summer.
20 Jun 2026 16:43:29
And the end of the week is a Sunday, not Friday. Don't know if you've seen a calendar recently.
20 Jun 2026 17:08:21
Players can sign for a new club before their current contract ends. That won't make any difference.
4yr is what I have heard.
20 Jun 2026 17:22:47
Waccoe,
Thing is, there were 2 seasons of bad injuries, 2023 to 2025, for Nmecha.
So, I doubt his club, Wolfsburg, had offered him a new contract to stay.
Wilson, however, is, according to some, wanted by multiple clubs, including his own current club, Fulham, to whom he is still contracted.
So, there are choices and decisions to be made, that possibly might take time to resolve/ decide into July rather than "end of this week".
So, I fully agree with JR on the more likely timeframes, imo, re Wilson decisions.
And I still have some doubts he even signs for Leeds at the end of it.
20 Jun 2026 17:26:09
Wacco, do Leeds United ever make signings at weekend? Hmmm.
..Anyways, let's see what happens next week (if anything) . 😆
20 Jun 2026 17:40:21
4 year contract, Alf! Till he is 33, at £100k plus a week. Great deal for him.
Wow. That would be a clincher.
20 Jun 2026 17:53:20
Helpful hint, Saturday and Sunday are known, pretty much universally, as the weekend, then the new week starts Monday.
20 Jun 2026 18:03:11
We could sign Wilson before the end of his contract (big if) if Fulham agree, but I'd not hold my breath. Signing Nmecha before the end of his contract with Wolfsburg last season would have required their concurrence, which clearly we must have got.
20 Jun 2026 18:37:30
What JR said ..
20 Jun 2026 23:01:40
"We literally officially."
Who's the new numpty in town?
21 Jun 2026 06:40:37
Dunno why you're fighting this talk so much, tbh, Baz! Let's go back to the top line: "rumours", and you're actually disputing "rumours"!
And, before you hop on to arguing the "ITK" part of the lad's name - you are called Viduka - should we be disputing that with you too?
21 Jun 2026 08:51:17
No expert, but my understanding was that in England, players can sign pre-contract agreements with a new club in the last 6 months of their deal (for international transfers) and last month of their deal (for domestic transfers) .
ie, nothing stopping Wilson from signing a pre-contract deal now that comes into effect July 1st.
19 Jun 2026 08:45:45
Harry Wilson and Julian Brandt close to signing.
WACCOE ITK source 1.
19 Jun 2026 09:44:07
Yep, Wilson announced next 48 hours.
Maybe the fella who shouted me down with four paragraphs when I said he was announced this week will think next time.
19 Jun 2026 10:36:22
TLI, he probably won't!
19 Jun 2026 10:37:36
We are in for Brandt, but plenty of other interest at the moment. By no means a done deal just yet, but we can hope!
19 Jun 2026 11:06:22
And any idea..
What is the weekly salary Leeds United have supposedly offered Harry Wilson, ITKers?
100k plus a week?
19 Jun 2026 12:12:53
Roma seem to think Brandt is going to them, we shall see.
19 Jun 2026 12:36:49
Brandt has agreed terms with Leeds, just if anyone can match them, but he'd be our top earner.
And, yeah, Wilson is on just over £100k p/w.
Using no transfer fees to pay bigger wages.
19 Jun 2026 13:08:37
You either pay higher wages, give a significant signing on fee, or both, if they're free transfers. Josh Brownhill was, allegedly, looking for a small increase in wages, but a £15m signing on fee a year ago. In the end, he went to Saudi, and probably got what he wanted.
Hopefully, Wilson does come, and Brandt could be the answer to the No 10 spot. He'd agreed last summer that this would be his last season. He has played on a regular basis over his career, with few injuries, and last season had a goal every four games - he played about 40.
19 Jun 2026 16:18:31
Bet 365 has suspended betting on Wilson to Leeds, as activity increased this morning and odds moved to 3/1 on.
19 Jun 2026 18:06:25
Said from the beginning, I believed there was only a slim chance Leeds United would sign Wilson. I'd still be a tad surprised if he does opt for Leeds. I guess the alleged £100k-plus-a-week talks.
19 Jun 2026 19:26:27
£5m a year over four years is probably what his transfer value is, but we don't have to pay wages, say £50k per week, on top. It saves us £10m on the deal. I'd take that.
19 Jun 2026 20:21:32
Personally, I can't see us signing both, but who knows?
We could do with decreasing the squad age, not increasing it. However, in saying that, I'd be more than happy for both to sign.
19 Jun 2026 20:32:09
DCL is on £5M pa, so a marquee signing would likely demand nothing less, but with no transfer fee on top that's not too bad. Brandt is valued at £15M and Wilson at £25M, so if we had to pay those amounts too, the costs would more than double.
20 Jun 2026 07:27:15
We reportedly have first refusal on Brandt; it would be two great signings!
20 Jun 2026 07:28:56
Baz, it's reported that Wilson is on £90k a week at Fulham.
Brandt is on around 140 weekly at Dortmund, with bonuses included.
{Ed001's Note - you know Brandt was Klopp's first choice the year Liverpool signed Salah. It was only after he turned down the move that the stats guys persuaded Klopp to look at Salah.}
20 Jun 2026 09:07:25
I think you might be right about Brandt's salary, which is one of the reasons that Dortmund have not made a contract offer. The new regime want a leaner wage structure.
Re Wilson, the general consensus is that he's on around £50k per week, and Villa have indicated they'll be prepared to double it.
20 Jun 2026 10:02:55
Reading that post, Dunelm, re Wilson's current salary. Almost shed a tear. It must be so hard being on 50k£ a week. What with fuel prices and cost of living going up. Maybe we should start a go fund site for our players.
20 Jun 2026 10:59:22
Too right Aus. When I retired 17 years ago, I'd never been on over £50K per year, never mind per week. I like Erling Haarland, but £45.5M per year for him is obscene. A salary cap is long overdue, say £100M per 1st team squad per year, which would still work out at £4M each on average.
It would also put a stop to the big clubs luring players with a promise to double or treble their salaries. Not going to hold my breath tho.
20 Jun 2026 12:29:52
Agree with you both, Aus and JR, that it is obscene. Not like the 50's and 60's, when they retired and opened a newsagents or a fish and chip shop. It won't change, particularly in England, because the TV rights are so lucrative and the PL teams are filling the stadiums at sometimes extortionate prices.
Some of the European leagues, like the French, are finding it more difficult as the TV money is dropping, but the world wants to watch the PL. It would be great for some sense of realism regarding salaries, but it ain't going to happen here unless the TV money dries up.
20 Jun 2026 12:53:31
Dave, I thought I'd read Wilson was on 50-60K per week at Fulham.
20 Jun 2026 13:01:41
Yes, CW, he is on about £50k per week. Not one of the highest earners. Leno is on more than double that to put it into context.
17 Jun 2026 19:12:46
Has Leeds got a sell on clause on Summerfield if he's sold by wet spam, 50 mill is the asking price with man poo looking.
17 Jun 2026 19:32:52
Since we sold him to a (then) PL club on the back of failing to win promotion, it's likely that Spam wouldn't have accepted adding in a sell-on clause.
17 Jun 2026 21:46:26
No sell on, and no international appearance clauses supposedly.
17 Jun 2026 22:06:47
Don't wanna sound like Baz, but an absolute poor transfer deal for Leeds, as usual.
17 Jun 2026 22:28:32
Sounding like Baz is a compliment, Corkey.
And, yep, 100% agreed.
19 Jun 2026 10:36:57
We needed the money. Corkey and Cree didn't want to stay.
19 Jun 2026 19:07:57
Don't let facts get in the way of a good narrative, Alf. 🫣
19 Jun 2026 20:24:20
Totally agree, Alf, but I still believe it wasn't a good deal for Leeds, unlike Gray n Rutter, which were excellent deals.
17 Jun 2026 15:17:11
Breaking from Joe Tiffany and supportive of what TheLeedsITK has already posted:
Personal terms agreed with Shea Charles. 4yr deal on the table.
17 Jun 2026 16:23:07.
We don't need him as a priority.
But, we shall see what develops, if anything at all.
I particularly love the following terms.
Transfer fee agreed.
Medical booked.
But, especially.. contract signed.
17 Jun 2026 20:11:31
Exactly, Baz, for all we know he's agreed personal terms with MU too, who, it's rumoured, are chasing him, and, unlike us, can offer CL football.
17 Jun 2026 20:22:17
Think he's a good signing if true, if not, move on. In the gospel according to the Life of Brian, you come into this world with nothing and you leave with nothing.. what you lost, nothing. 🤣
17 Jun 2026 23:51:50
Definitely, JR ..
18 Jun 2026 03:43:22
It's not breaking from JT if he stole it from WACCOE, is it.
18 Jun 2026 06:03:39
We are Champions, Champions of Europe aka Waccoe .. like the name, of course .. as for the ITK stuff .. amusing.
19 Jun 2026 10:38:44
Waccoe in this context is a Leeds forum, Baz.
17 Jun 2026 15:09:34
Fab Rom stating than someone is inbound to ER from the continent for a medical, which has already been booked!? Ooooh!
17 Jun 2026 16:13:50
Flight to East Leeds from Liege which happens to be where Lois Openda is from.
17 Jun 2026 16:24:34
Yay.
.Medical booked ..second only to contract signed.
17 Jun 2026 17:14:43
Too many examples of one happening but not the other, so caution is wise.
Dan James was the prime example; that was a real mess!
17 Jun 2026 17:31:07
Indeed, so true, Canada.
17 Jun 2026 20:23:51
As he's currently with Juventus, a flight from Turin may be a possibility.
18 Jun 2026 11:28:00
His hometown is Liege, so post season he may well be there. Of course, he could be anywhere, as could any player!
17 Jun 2026 01:24:50
NewsNow reports that we're considering taking legal action against Leicester City, same as Burnley did. Maybe a few more £Ms to add to the transfer pot.
17 Jun 2026 07:51:31
Thought we settled on that. Out of court?
17 Jun 2026 08:31:38
Wasn't it Everton that settled with Burnley? This is for the season we lost in the playoffs to Southampton.
17 Jun 2026 08:34:03
That was a settlement by Leeds with Everton (not Leicester) . Aus.
17 Jun 2026 09:00:20
Then fans should sue LUFC for reimbursement on the absolute shambolic attempt at promotion in that game.
It was quite possibly the worst playoff final ever, accruing big costs to our fans.
Sticks in my mind, like it was last Sunday, that game. 🤮
17 Jun 2026 09:26:17
Leeds settled for £1.5m because we weren't relegated, but finished below Everton. Burnley got £30m because they were relegated, and the financial loss was much more significant.
17 Jun 2026 11:31:18
Sorry, should've said "same as Burnley did - with Everton".
17 Jun 2026 13:26:29
We also didn't think we had enough of a case to push for more from Everton. The Leicester case is very different, and the Burnley vs Everton ruling sets a new precedent, which did not exist at the time.
17 Jun 2026 16:25:19
Yep, that Burnley Everton precedent ruling is key.
16 Jun 2026 13:44:19
Leeds are weighing up a move for Southampton's £20m-rated midfielder Shea Charles - Daily Fail.
16 Jun 2026 14:21:34
I'd go for that.
16 Jun 2026 14:34:05
Not sure if I'd pay 20 mill for him.
16 Jun 2026 14:46:26
Blooming hope not. Very underwhelming, meh player and meh stats; plus SC not worth anywhere near £20 million.
Much, much more likely to happen is Harry Gray on season long loan to Sheff Utd.
..Bamford, KP, Rothwell, Gray.. Wilder sure loves Leeds United.
16 Jun 2026 17:03:26
Would be a brilliant signing and well worth £20m, only way to think otherwise is to not have watched much of him.
Top in both boxes, great at carrying the ball, and a good shot on him, and only young.
16 Jun 2026 18:36:39
Wow Daz, you're very easily pleased.
You were watching SC playing in a weakish level Champo last seez, against Champ players (not EPL players) .
Saints, for most of seez, were bossing it, scoring 86 Champo goals.
SC has a good shot, but bottom line, he was only good for 4 of Saints' 86 goals, and he had a mere 2 assists in the Saints' Champo campaign. Hmm.
SC also failed to score in 34 matches in the previous season to that.
So yeah. meh imo.
Yes, he is an energetic player (but we already have energetic players of okish EPL quality) , we don't need yet another!
I would rather Leeds signed 2 to 3 overseas proven quality attacking £30 million plus players, who will definitely make a big difference to our first 11 quality.
16 Jun 2026 22:48:09
The fact that you're judging him on goal contributions says all I need to know. Suppose Ampadu was crap last season because he didn't score enough?
You clearly have not watched any of him if these are your opinions, simple as that.
16 Jun 2026 23:48:25
Your opinion, for what it's worth, Dazza.
We already have Amps, Stach, Tanaka, Longstaff, Gruev, BA.
Instead, we defo have much more pressing needs to recruit in than to blow £20 million on a box-to-box, non-scoring, non-assisting Champo SC.
Good runner, though. 🏃♂️ 😉
Our transfer budget, imo, should be mostly spent on 3 quality, proven players that will make a big difference to our creativity and goalscoring. Pretty please.
We won't sign SC, thankfully.
Aimo
17 Jun 2026 05:54:47
Your opinion, for what it's worth, Baz: no more than that of Daz.
Don't alienate newer posters before they have even been welcomed properly!
17 Jun 2026 07:14:00
Yes, of course, all opinions equally worthwhile, Bright.
17 Jun 2026 07:29:05
We will be signing Shea Charles, good player.
#YouHeardItHereFirst.
{Ed001's Note - looks a good signing on paper, was one of the few players who looked Prem standard for Saints before their relegation.}
17 Jun 2026 07:53:52
Aren't we a stats-based team? Isn't that what guides us to buying certain players, and not others? If true, then Baz would be right. Although you prob never really know if a player is able to step up to us until you try. Even 80-100 mill players can fail.
17 Jun 2026 08:32:38
Lots of other stats other than the very simple ones that Baz googles!
17 Jun 2026 08:36:30
We shall see, LeedsITK.. We already have 6 midfielders.. SC would make 7.. and not one of them an attacking goalscoring midfield playmaker.
17 Jun 2026 13:31:29
Acquisitions can also be made based on player potential as opposed to historical records. Citeh thought that potential was worth putting a 25% sell-on clause in his contract - something you complained we didn't do for Cree's contract in another post, Baz.
Aus, your acknowledgement of only 2 stats in football really speaks volumes about your ball knowledge.
Welcome Wowzer - great name.
On SC, the club has acknowledged that we are admirers, but interest hasn't progressed beyond that currently.
17 Jun 2026 13:59:49
Bottom line..
Leeds United won't be making a bid for SC..
Strikers, LB, CD, GK priorities.
17 Jun 2026 14:41:48
Alf. We need a midfield goal scorer right. Which he ain't. We don't need him. Pointless buying a player we already have five of. Let's blow 20 on something we don't need. Makes sense.
17 Jun 2026 16:26:11
100% correct, Aus. As I have reiterated throughout this thread.
17 Jun 2026 17:29:43
Smyth saying it's likely to be a case of in and out in Mf, so he is likely inbound to replace someone else. Gruev is still injured, and it ain't Amps, so maybe Ao? Just as long as it ain't Stach!
17 Jun 2026 20:07:08
I think the good thing about Sc, which has been discussed before, is that he can play in a number of positions - DM, AM, FB and CB. If he does come, then I think one of the current midfield players will leave. If Ao left, then it would certainly be a big plus for our ability to spend big in other areas.
18 Jun 2026 05:53:02
A bigger picture, Dunelm? You can't be doing that in 'ere, mate! 🤣
