My mid Seez fears are seemingly happening.

Chelsea sniffing around Gabby.

No.

24 Jun 2026 16:28:18
If anyone was to buy him, I'd want it to be them.

They seriously overpay quite often!

1

24 Jun 2026 17:10:10
What Canada said.

Let Chelsea seriously overpay with a very large chunk of their Cucarella proceeds, thanks.

And replace Gabi with a LB who can actually defend far better.

1

24 Jun 2026 17:51:45
I don't think he'd want to go to be second choice.

1

24 Jun 2026 19:53:26
Tell them to go forth and multiply.

1

24 Jun 2026 19:56:33
Why would he be second choice?

1

24 Jun 2026 14:03:32
Leeds close to agreeing a 2yr deal with Darlow and Leeds apparently are his first choice. Leeds now do not have a new keeper as a priority unless a bargain unexpectedly comes up.

Source: Joe Tiffany (who Correctly called the Wilson signing long before anyone else (even WACCOE) ) .

4

24 Jun 2026 17:11:04
Excellent news (if correct) .

1

24 Jun 2026 18:23:23
I think Darlow is getting better with age and has to be seen as our first choice keeper next season with Perri no.2, who I think can improve and will have learnt a lot from his first EPL season at Leeds.

Delighted with the Harry Wilson signing, and it looks like Charles is in the pipeline.

I also like the rumours of Brandt on a free, which hopefully his fellow countryman Stach can put in a persuasive word to convince him to sign for us.

Just need another striker, which I think the club have indicated they are interested in a centre forward that is playing in the World Cup.Chris Wood maybe?

2

24 Jun 2026 19:16:15
Darlow and Charles may be on our wishlist, but they're both on the Man United wishlist, and they can offer more dosh and maybe UCL, so it ain't over til it's over. Also, Brandt is attracting attention from Roma and Atletico Madrid, who again can offer UCL, and his possible preferences are not so easy to read.

24 Jun 2026 19:58:40
Jaysus, JR, you are a cheery ole sole.

1

24 Jun 2026 20:09:15
Joe Tiffany is a huge wind-up. He didn't have Wilson first; it was all over WACCOE and other chatrooms.

And even that doesn't account for 99% of his stories straight being made up.

Leeds are definitely signing a new starter. One okay half-season doesn't make Darlow better than a career backup.

1

24 Jun 2026 20:47:05
Lmao, these supposed "ITKs" appear to take themselves very seriously.

So...

If Leeds are 'definitely' looking to sign a new number 1.

I do hope they make a much better choice than the previous calamity gk signings of:

Perri, Meslier, Klaessen, Kiko and Wieldwald..4 signings by Uncle Victor Orta and co.

But the most recent signing being under Paraag, Underwood and Co.

1

24 Jun 2026 13:42:21
As some have already reported the Wilson deal is done. Great start to the window.

1

24 Jun 2026 17:13:22
Definitely esp if he can produce the Goals and Assists he achieved last season.

Giles, Bowyer, Pablo, Strachan, McAllister, Speed numbers.

0

24 Jun 2026 19:59:42
What about Sheridan and Bremner numbers?

0

24 Jun 2026 12:58:58
At 12:39 today Leeds Live announced that "Leeds United have agreed a deal to sign Harry Wilson as a free agent, with a medical to follow in due course."
Looks like the rumours are finally coming to pass.

1

24 Jun 2026 17:14:21
Great news, JR.

0

24 Jun 2026 12:10:25
Sky Sports saying Harry Wilson will sign at the end of his contract this month.

4

23 Jun 2026 17:55:21
LUFC and Alex Cairns have verbally agreed on a new two-year contract.

Fits the home-grown status and is great to have around the squad.

[Beren Cross].

3

23 Jun 2026 18:39:22
It's good to have the third choice sorted.
I want Darlow to stay, and think Perri is not a lost cause.
If we end up needing two new keepers, not sure where to go. Dubravka is a free agent and might be a decent second string.

4

23 Jun 2026 20:16:20
Lovely guy to have in the dressing room, but genuinely don't understand this signing. I'm sure it was not expensive, but he will likely never, ever play, and, for me, it would have been far better to snap up the best young keeper around for me.

2

23 Jun 2026 20:24:31
Looks like Dubravka is off to Spurs.

1

23 Jun 2026 21:02:02
Dubravka to Spuds could be good news for LUFC fans.

.. Hopefully that might mean Darlow is now staying at Leeds, signing a new 2 year contract deal.

2

23 Jun 2026 21:27:43
I suspect so, Baz, but MU are interested, don't want Onana back, and Bayindir isn't trusted. They bought a good one in Lammens at a decent price.
They've been linked with Sam Johnstone, but JD is a better keeper.

Hopefully, the offer from us will be competitive, and Darlow knows that he will get game time with us. It might boil down to whether he wants MU on his CV or to go out as a Premier League no. 1.

1

23 Jun 2026 22:39:56
Yep, good post, Dune. I concur with your points.

Hopefully, Man U don't make an offer for KD.

0

24 Jun 2026 13:37:02
MU may also make an offer for Shea Charles, so could stuff us twice.

0

24 Jun 2026 13:56:46
Man Utd are more than welcome to SC.. but hands off KD.

0

24 Jun 2026 14:09:15
Can't believe we're not aiming higher than KD for next season, he did ok, behind a very solid defensive line, but I wouldn't say he's better than any of the relegated keepers from last season.

If Peri is going or not, we still definitely need a new number one.

1

24 Jun 2026 15:11:22
KD is a safe pair of hands. He did better than Ok, and, importantly, our defenders trust him.

Our recruitment team bought a dud number 1 keeper in Perri and spent a load of dosh in doing so, Class.

0

24 Jun 2026 20:02:38
I kinda agree with Class. Darlow did well last season, but we still thought we'd bring in a top class keeper.

1

24 Jun 2026 20:46:04
Won't be upset if KD stays, Baz, but I posed a serious question above: how many teams last season, including those relegated, is the respective keeper not considered stronger than Karl?

For me, he's an excellent back up keeper, although would have liked Dubravka instead, but Sunderland hit gold with Roefs last season, and history says keepers needn't be expensive.

I just believe we should look to improve the squad quality incrementally each season.

Good example, Wilson: higher goals and assists last season than our current midfielders.

As the mafia would say, it's not personal, it's just beesness!

21 Jun 2026 21:07:53
Sounds like an official bid of £20m has gone in for Shea Charles. He could well be a shrewd signing as looks like a hybrid of Amps and Stach and could make us really strong across middle of the park.

It makes me wonder what formation Farke is considering if we do secure his signing as for £20m I imagine he and the club will expect him to start? Comes from the Man City academy production line too.

4

21 Jun 2026 21:31:14
He can play anywhere in midfield, FB, and I think he has been used as a CB. The initial bid of £20m has been rejected, but he has only one year left on his contract, so the player will have a big say as to where he wants to go, which might be reflected in the final fee.

I doubt he will stay at Southampton.
I remember him playing for the Owls in our last season in the Championship, and he stood out - the best player on either team.

2

21 Jun 2026 22:03:03
He would strengthen our squad, but would he strengthen, significantly anyway, our first team?

2

21 Jun 2026 22:04:07
* Starting 11.

0

21 Jun 2026 22:37:38
One year left, plus they have an option so effectively he's got 2 years left.

1

22 Jun 2026 06:41:03
Does this move mean we don't actually have any interest in Harvey Elliot after all?

0

22 Jun 2026 07:32:44
£20m+ for an unproven (at prem level) Championship player with 1yr left (+ an optional yr) doesn't strike me as great value.
It'll end up at £25m. Personally, I think there's better value out there. Stack @ £17m shows there's way better value across Europe.

3

22 Jun 2026 07:37:07
Now that Iraola is in charge at Liverpool, he may have a different view on whether to sell or keep Elliott from Slot. Remember, Klich was all set to leave Leeds until Bielsa came in and made him a key member of his squad.

3

https://liverpool-rumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_Ed001.png avatar{Ed001's Note - yeah, he wants to have a look at Elliott in pre-season, so unlikely any movement unless Elliott himself pushes to leave.}

2

22 Jun 2026 09:34:06
Says Shea wants the move, so a couple mill add ons should do it. Makes his international debut and scores a hatrick in Euro final. That sorta thing.

3

22 Jun 2026 10:21:30
Think he's a good player, noted him giving amps a good game for Wendies at ER, and thought at the time how he stood out then. Great engine and years to develop, and £20 million in the mad world of the EPL is a very reasonable sum given his age.

Hope it completes!

3

22 Jun 2026 10:42:24
Shea Charles is a full Northern Ireland international, so that add on is gone.

0

22 Jun 2026 11:01:11
Matchwinner Summerville sold by Leeds for £25 million.

Shea Charles bought by Leeds for £25 million.

An Ampadu, Charles, Stach midfield, solid but underwhelming.

2

22 Jun 2026 12:08:46
Underwhelming? That's a good, solid set up for a team at our stage of development!

4

22 Jun 2026 12:43:44
Solid, yes. Underwhelming, yes.

2

22 Jun 2026 13:22:22
Charles probably not an immediate starter, but has great potential for the future. Can see him taking the Amps role in games as a replacement, and is also a very versatile player, and can cover numerous positions, which we as a team like. Great potential for improvement, high ceiling and great resell value. Ticks all the boxes for us.

2

22 Jun 2026 13:25:55
Definitely would be a solid signing, but not at 25 million.
Price tags are soon forgotten if the player does the bizz though.

5

22 Jun 2026 14:17:42
Sorry, top man. Thought he was dual.

1

22 Jun 2026 16:27:38
Underwhelming, we can afford, overwhelming maybe not, it all comes down to money.

2

22 Jun 2026 18:43:49
They paid £10m plus add-ons for Charles. Don't know if any of those targets have been met. City have a 15% sell-on clause, so Southampton will want to push the price up.
However, Southampton's misdemeanours last season meant that the players were denied the possibility of promotion to the Premier League, which would have meant salary increases and bonuses.

The threats of legal action against the club have died down, but I'm sure some of the players will use it as a lever to get out to their desired destination at a price which is acceptable to both buyer and seller.
I don't think Leeds will want to up the offer. If they play hard ball, then move on.

3

23 Jun 2026 14:20:17
Citeh's sell on clause is 25%.

0

23 Jun 2026 14:26:24
25% sell on clause, Alf?

Something we never get with our owners. Ever.

1

23 Jun 2026 14:28:58
Reported in The Athletic today, Tuesday 23rd June 2026.

'Leeds United and Harry Wilson's representatives are in positive talks over the terms of a deal which would take the Wales international to Elland Road.'

Hmm, .. I kid thee not.

2

23 Jun 2026 14:37:20
Contract signed Baz or pure rumour?

2

23 Jun 2026 14:59:43
Rumours elsewhere suggest that Villa are shifting their attention from Harry Wilson to Jarrod Bowen, may improve our chances of landing Wilson. Still no news following his alleged arrival at Leeds Bradford airport on Sunday morning, was that a case of misidentification, or was it a doppelganger? So is the "done deal" not yet done?
We shall see!

3

23 Jun 2026 16:14:42
Indeed, JR and Aus.

It's a deal that, hopefully, will get done at some point soonish. Fingers crossed. 🤞

2

24 Jun 2026 02:49:26
Correction, Baz, we do have a 15% sell-on clause with Toulouse for Charlie Cresswell. We sold him to them for £3.8M, and his current valuation is £25M, so if he were sold at that price we'd receive £3.18M.

1

24 Jun 2026 11:53:55
True, JR, re 15%.

But, Leeds United literally gave England U21 Charlie Cresswell away for a derisory initial fee of £3.8 million!

How much more would, say, Brighton or Chelsea - with superior recruitment teams - have sold Charlie for?

0

20 Jun 2026 23:29:54.
Harry Wilson arriving in Leeds in the morning on a private jet from Cardiff.

Everything is already signed, so depends if the club are happy to announce it on a Sunday or will hold off till early next week.

But it is deal done.

5

21 Jun 2026 06:34:49
Hope so!

1

21 Jun 2026 07:00:20
Why would they hold off?

1

21 Jun 2026 00:16:43
Mon dieu

'Done deal '.

and especially.

'Contract already signed'.

my favourite words Waccoe, in the context of very long drawn out summer transfer windows!

So Waccoe, is it indeed a four year £100 k plus contract that HW signed? Feels like it must be!

3

21 Jun 2026 10:42:53
Being a natural sceptic, I'll believe it when I see it.
Want it to be true tho!

3

21 Jun 2026 13:45:56
Private jet? 🤔

4

21 Jun 2026 14:06:54
So no idea on the length of contract ITK?

Fair points other lads

1

21 Jun 2026 15:12:39
Common for clubs to transport incoming players via private planes, Corkey.

0

21 Jun 2026 16:17:54
Not from Cardiff surely?

2

21 Jun 2026 18:35:11
Why not from Cardiff? Private planes can go to any airport.

2

21 Jun 2026 20:10:29
Because of the cost, Alf.
Stick him on the fast train, roughly two hours, I'd say.

0

21 Jun 2026 20:13:14
Why pay 20k when you can stick him on a train £100!

2

21 Jun 2026 20:58:24
Vidic said he was amazed that Alex Ferguson personally met him at the airport and carried his case to the car. His initial reaction was that they really want me. Like it or not, you sometimes have to stroke their ego. It's not desirable, but sometimes a good option.

It's over four hours from Cardiff to Leeds. No direct trains, and if you're not careful, he could be on the Trans Pennine Express. If he is, then he might not be here before the end of the transfer window. 🤣

4

21 Jun 2026 21:28:17
2 hours, Corkey! You've never been on a train from Cardiff to Leeds. 4 hours, more like it, even more on a Sunday. I also thought, why a plane from Cardiff? Not because of the cost, but because he lives in London. Yes, he has family in Wales, but in North Wales near where he was born, in Wrexham, not Cardiff, so strange but not impossible.

I've kept looking at a plane tracker website all day, but have not found any private jets from Cardiff to Leeds, so I'm still waiting to see.

3

21 Jun 2026 23:17:59
Flight left Cardiff at 09:05 and landed at LBA at 09:42.

1

22 Jun 2026 07:22:59
Thanks, Canada. Missed that one, just when I was having my Brekky. If only we knew who was on it.

1

22 Jun 2026 10:16:55
It's pretty standard practice to fly players on private planes for transfers these days. I guess if you want a player to join then you want them in the best mood possible.

A contact at the airport confirmed Wilson was on the plane, JR. It's the most we will get, I feel.

3

22 Jun 2026 11:09:08
So, probably having his medical right now - wait for the next step. I wonder, did he come for a med in the mid-season window before Fulham pulled the plug?

2

22 Jun 2026 20:49:16
Should make him run from Cardiff or wherever the eff he is. A nice week of long distance running to earn 100k a week.

2

20 Jun 2026 14:26:40
Elvedi @ Gladbach (1 year left on deal) 👀
Diogo Leite - free agent

A couple of names the club admires for CB.

2

20 Jun 2026 17:06:34
We have offered Gladbach an offer of 8 m for Nico Elvedi.
Gladbach want a fee for the CB.

Terms already agreed with Elvedi.

3

20 Jun 2026 17:30:30
Doeckhi is another CB from Union Berlin who has been mentioned. Both he and Leite are free agents this Summer.

3

20 Jun 2026 23:25:27
Rumour going round in Portugal that Sporting want something like EUR80M (£69M) for Diomande, which I don't think we should (or would) go for.

1

21 Jun 2026 09:17:14
I don't think that was ever going to happen, even at the original price that was suggested. The fee has gone up significantly with the alleged interest in the player. Much better value elsewhere.
I've seen nothing about any of our current CBs being offered or approached. Bournauw might be surplus, and Pascal needs to sign a new contract.
