That was crazy, sat in Melbourne watching live at 4am, family in bed and hard not to scream with winner.
Love the never say die attitude and how we come up with late goals.
I believe this is our year and will get promoted, one because we are winning these types of games, when we not at our best but still win. Secondly, other teams in mix are also erratic and prone to getting beat when think favorites.
Think cassila has been better this season but he is starting to go back to his old ways, last few games he has come out and put pressure on team, he worries me.
I don't rate alioski at LB, he does get forward well but at a detriment to defense, at 2 nil up need to be solid. I would prefer him dropping and either trying Douglas or Dallas.
Think any managers looking at playing us are just thinking, lob ball into box as often as possible, this is are Achilles heal.
We look funerable at corners and every time opponents get a corner I am concerned.
We have lost our way in middle, don't rate Dallas or klich in middle, not creating chances for us. Be nice to get shacks back but as said many times, need a creative MF.
I was one who wanted bamford dropping for Eddie but think I'm wrong, he works hard for team and look more balanced with him in.
I would let Eddie go back if that means we can invest in striker, need a Tammy Abraham type, or Adams/ Ayew.
So striker and MF in Jan please, go for Eze from QPR.

So a few thoughts from today, several hours after the game and not sure if my heart rate has returned to normal.
What a game!
A win was important today and we did it. Easy or not it was done.
Defence was suspect throughout, but if we score more than the opposition, how important is the defence? I'm sure WBA will answer that for us.
Kiko, although good for most of this season was not good today, definitely at fault for Brum's third goal.
Alioski, I am generally a fan but was found out today, good on the wing if he stays onside but positioning at LB is not good enough.
Eddie worked hard with little joy, I hope we manage to keep him.
Most importantly I do not see why the team insist on pumping the ball forward with no height at the front, seems to be happening a lot over the last few games.

I think, they simply have to get back to the form pre xmas or the free fall will start all over again! i'm praying Bielsa and the lads have learnt that very bitter lesson from last season, surely they wouldn't want to go back to that scenario!

seen a lot of posts regarding kiko
i can see what many are saying and do not disagree fully but think it has to be understood from a keepers point of view
I played in a very good team, we won our league and even played in the fa cup premiln rounds,
now at 5'8 i was never great on crosses but i had a great cb who covered the front of the fve yard box to the pen spot and a right back who had long corners in back end of box covered. i trusted them and they did their jobs, i only had 30% of goal to cover and did my job well. when the cb left we fell to bits and i become useless at crosses
now my point is give kiko van dyke and kiko will get better, give allision cooper he will become far worse.
keepers need to trust their CB and the CB has to be decent in the air. the CB, lack of height and weakness with set plays has been a problem all season. if we don't go up it will be because of this reason in the main
that said we are top, we did win and its only our past failings that has most of us on edge. so maybe people like me should shut up and enjoy. then again all leeds fans can be forgiven if we need valium until may.

In the last four games we have plumbed the depths of last season's meltdown. Kiko and Coops in particular have gone back in a time machine to those dark days where they completely lost their heads, White has lost a bit of form only natural at his age and Ali for all he offers is not a left back . I'm afraid it's quite simple, unless we rediscover our pre last twenty minutes against Cardiff form, someone will come out of the pack and catch us before the season is out . Whilst I love the never say die attitude that dug us out of holes against Preston and Brum today, the sheer brittleness and loss of confidence after conceding are not the stuff of promoted sides, much less conceding 10 goals in under 300 minutes of football . So despite the 9 point gap to third, I will not sleep well tonight, knowing this side's frailty has the habit of reappearing at any stage and any moment . Bielsa needs to find answers and show he has learnt the lessons of last year and quickly . The board also needs to do their bit in January . First things first and Brom on New Year's Day . Please Mr Bielsa restore Stuie to left back, Klich to 8 and Tyler to 10 .

Agree brother it’s been that way since MB arrived and even before . But the lack of confidence has now spread to open play where only a few weeks ago we were so assured . I know a goal changes momentum in football but the implosions after Cardiff’s first and again yesterday after Brum scored their first are very telling . It goes to the psyche of the players we have and in the big games that really matter where people need to stand up and be counted certain players seemingly have the habit of going into meltdown mode . And I don’t think MB can coach that out of them .

Biggest plus today was the 3 points and the fact we kept battling. Not the greatest display and yes could easily have lost that game. Typical bluenose my brother-in-law thinks the best team lost, bugging smile on my face tonight. Up next WBA and if we defend like today we will lose. Sure our winning run started with Birmingham before so let's hope history repeats it's self. 3 points more towards the promise land!

Within all of the commotion of heart attacks, pace makers and simply imploding, I don't know if anyone has mentioned the sheer quality of 3 of our goals.
Costa looked cool slotting his, after a fantastic burst out from Jack, and a lovely thro ball assist.
Ayling pulled out a blinder from a lovely pass, and the breakout play for Dallas to finish right on the back of conceding was brilliant! Lovely Jubbly!

Pretty sure I read that it was a very short term thing with Bamford. If he did pick it up on Boxing Day (I thought it was in training at first) , then he should still be training, just not fully match fit. Depends how mushy the muscle went!

Denim - you missed out that our goals scored is exactly the same as last year at this point. It's just goals conceded that is different (4 less) - and unless our current defensive regression is arrested that difference won't last much longer.

He has not been amazing all season, better than last, yes, but for the number of shots on target opposition have a very high number of goals.
If we had the same conversion rate I'd wager we'd have a goal difference of +50.
Midfield is the issue right now. Dallas and Klich are not supporting back enough for me.

so many times he has been man of the match, so many times we would of lost had he not been amazing. we can not defend. we keep the ball well, we don't conceed many chance. but we can not defend.
kiko has been our savoiur this season not our problem. pontus, naylor, white, molenaar or even bartley with white and we would be laughing and kiko would be even better. a keeper is nothing if his defence can not defend.

It’s possible we missed Bamford’s non stop running, we defend as a team, Nketiah mainly runs to score goals.
On whole I think Castilla’s contribution has been excellent, but he definitely had a bad day at the office today, he completely miss timed the free kick.

Castilla’s style of goalkeeping has a lot of risks involved but I favour that at the end of the season his stats will be numerically positive and that he will be a major contribution to our promotion. I‘m certain that Bielsa commands him to play this way and is fully aware that it will leak goals from time to time.

Let me first say, overjoyed with three points. Overjoyed with the persistence. Just worry about our ability to defend a two goal lead. Worry that we cannot see a game out. Worry that we never put our foot on their neck and in fact, with five at the back, it was backs to the wall for too long. Our swagger has gone and when the ball goes near a few of our players I start to shiver. Hopefully I have just watched a blip and hopefully when WBA comes around we will have regained our composure and win by the odd one or two (boring) goals.

That panic mentality seems to be creeping back in doesn’t it? I knew when their first went in that they would sore again, just not two more on top of that! We need a great performance against WBA, or teams will start to feel they have a good chance against us. The contrast between the long run of clean sheets, and goals conceded recently is what worries me most.

what chance has kiko got when his defenders can't defend high balls. what confidence can he have?
as a keeper you have two calls. mine and away. now poor kiko can't call away as his dwaf defenders can't head a ball. so every call has to be mine. making him go for balls he shouldn't go for. making him jittery
Allision just won best keeper on the planet. is it any wonder he has van dkye in front of him? its easy to keep goal when defence can defend
so take it from me. leave kiko be and get a defender who can defend a high ball. then we win the league.

Boxing day results are reminder that there are few easy points in this division. We have the advantage of 8 in hand. The chasers have to keep winning to have a chance of closing this gap. Brum will be a toughie, but I feel confident of 3 points.

I think this has turned into a must win game now as Brom going to be tough and we need to get some momentum back. I expected a tough month but think we we made it tougher than it should have been. Fulham was always going to be hard and sort of thought we would lose but on the day thought we should have had draw. No excuse for Cardiff game should have been three points naive game play and not being able to shut the game downdropped us points in that one. Preston yes a good side and we did well to get the point in the end but half the team never turned up first half, that was abysmal. Now we have put ourselves under pressure. I am guessing all the points we drop now count as earlier in the season the consensus was its early days it does not matter, however the extra six points would put us 12 clear instead of 8 but they did not count anyway. Reckon its only going to get harder now so going to test us big time, we have the ability but are we stronger mentally than last year. Hope so onwards and upwards.

hope you all had a good xmas and got suitably drunk and didn't have too many fights over monolpoly and chardes
back to leeds 2 points from nine obviously not good enough but can happen to all teams in this league, what i think is more worrying is its the same old problem this time of year. Are we running out of steam, have the old problems of no backbone and can't defend coming back mixed with not being clinical enough?
hopefully it will inspire the powers that be to get the Cb i have been crying out for and a batty type defensive mid to give us some backbone and ensure even if we don't score we don't lose and if we do score 1 goal will be enough.
today is a big day to make sure what happens to all teams in this league doesn't become a slump and a massive problem

Not sure defence is the issue although a centre back would come in handy as Cooper will probably be injured again. The players looked tired in the Preston game therefore "running out of steam" is probably going to be our downfall again. The midfield 3 in the last game played poorly and were bullied by Preston, coupled with having little or no options to change it from the bench. Comments from Radz yesterday on twitter again suggested that no additional players would be brought in. The exception of this will probably be Brewster being brought in if Eddie goes however that is a like for like swap for me.

the defence is not a problem as such, just the defence against a certain type of team or ball is. all season we have defended well as a unit and until recently not conceeded goals. however looking at corners and high balls in general we are very weak and conceed far too easliy overall. this has already cost us too many points. Also when our defensive record was good it was largly down to the keeper who had a few world class saves and motm displays. take them away and it don't look good. also think our midfeild needs more clamness and steel, put batty in this team and we go up as champs. at the moment it is easy to over run us in the middle of the park. to parapharse boyzone and billy ocean when the going gets tough our midfeild goes missing.

Yes, set pieces are our Achilles heel and this is due to a general lack of height in the team and individuals not taking responsibility to mark or stop the runs of their opponents. I would definitely look to bolster our options in midfield with an attacking midfielder and a defensive or more box to box player. Some will point towards the return of Shackleton, Forshaw and Roberts however I don't think we can rely upon the fitness of Forshaw and Roberts, also to maintain our style of play I feel that we need rotation in the midfield positions.

Our ‘slump’ isn’t as bad as it appears. Out of the last 3 it’s the Cardiff game where we lost 2 points imo as we had the game won. Fulham away was always going to be tough and I would have been pleased with a point and Preston was always going to be hard as they are promotion contenders. The Brum game is one where we should be back in business and Baggies again I would settle for sharing the points. We have done well against the poorer teams this season so far and if we keep that trend up we will have enough.

Alf, agree with first two points but if a team is serious about promotion then you should be beating teams like preston at home, but still quietly confident, interesting transfer window but not expecting anything.

agree all teams drop points and i'd be delighted with draw against brom as i fear we could lose by three or four goals in that one
we have done better against weaker teams but not perfect. it is still the age old weakness in defence with high balls, if you took out goals against from corners alone we would be top then take out high balls as well and we would of already won the league
what worries me is we have played a neil harris team twice this season and twice been mugged. we need to be able to deal with poor teams with a manager who ain't got a clue better. we could deal with a rafa bentiez team that wants to play but play against neil harris who has no clue so just goes physical with high balls and we drop points.
