Ha ha. Let's pop it out there. 3-0 for me. Gotta be.

15 Oct 2026 15:43:12
Three goals would be super fab Aus

I am hoping for a much needed clean sheet.1 nil win Leeds more likely than 3 nil

But have a strong feeling it will be a deja vu of last seez result

Leeds 1 vs Man U 1 ( but with Man U again sacking their manager after this Leeds game.Amorim last seez and Carrick this)

3

15 Oct 2026 16:23:44
I am hope we can join the 6 club that going around at the moment 🤭.

2

15 Oct 2026 19:01:36
I must lead a very sheltered existence since I've no idea what 6 club you could be referring to.

3

16 Oct 2026 00:00:14
I'm going 4-0 Leeds.

Almost 30 years on since they did us 4-0 at Elland Rd and bought about the end of Sir Howard - how nice would it be to get some belated payback.

4-0 would probably seal Carrick's fate!

4

16 Oct 2026 08:16:55
3 /1'to us & said to a m8 yesterday that Carrick will be gone WHEN we beat them!
Sutton as us winning 5/0 on his page on the bbc.

3

16 Oct 2026 10:04:55
I think it will be much more tricky than people (including pundits) are expecting / anticipating. If there's ever a game for them to step it up after a rough run, and a load of BS around that club (which I love!) , its against us! I'd love us to batter them physically and in terms of scoreline, but can't see it being that simple tbh.

Still hoping for a 2-0 win, tho it will be edgy in large parts I think.

4

16 Oct 2026 13:13:00
Totally agree Bright, not happy that pundits an' all are making us clear favorites and not just to win but absolutely batter Man U.
As much as i would love to see such an annihilation of our old enemy, I'm not sure it's going to be so easy as some make out.
At some point they will try to dig
themselves out of this mess they are in, just hope it's not just yet.

Since we have been made favorites for this match, a one nil lucky goal to us i'd be more than happy with.

5

16 Oct 2026 13:42:33
JR 16 look at other recent scores mate that's what I was referring to.🤣.

3

16 Oct 2026 14:23:17
Agree opti. It won't be easy. But they play for money not pride. So at elland. One up. They will fold.

3

16 Oct 2026 19:24:46
I just wish it was an evening game.
2-2.

3

16 Oct 2026 19:54:17
Yess Corkey, if it was an evening game, Leeds far more likely to win

As it is, it's Sunday afternoon less raucous, less atmospheric fare where Leeds recently sometimes/ often underwhelm.

A clean sheet would help a lot please Jimmy Trafford.

4

16 Oct 2026 23:20:16
A win of any description please!

5

17 Oct 2026 08:23:31
Agree Feath. I'd like a performance but tomorrow is all about the result. We need to start putting some wins together rather than well earned draws.

3

18 Oct 2026 01:03:04
Whilst, like everybody, I'm hoping for a win of any description, I can't help having a bad feeling about this game, hope I'm wrong.

I wonder if contract renewal length is an issue in any contract renewal discussions between DF and SF49ers

I have a feeling 49ers understandably might not want to commit to a long contract extension of say even 3 years and defo not 4 years

My guess is they might want to agree to just a 2 year extension.

6

13 Oct 2026 20:57:26
I was thinking similar Baz. I reckon he's been offered a two year deal.

4

13 Oct 2026 22:04:35
Yes Corkey, it will be interesting to see how this pans out.

Imo its not a given, say around 75/25 chance that Farke is still Leeds manager at start of next seez.

4

13 Oct 2026 22:08:01
It might be, but it also might be about money?

4

13 Oct 2026 22:35:28
Or it might be both OP!

Contract length AND salary

In which case, Farke better start winning some matches then; so far just 2 EPL wins in 6 ; arguably a must win vs out of form Man U who are there for the taking!

5

14 Oct 2026 13:00:47
Agree Baz. Arguably min 2-4 point below where we should be. Let's hope he can nick a few unexpected ones.

2

14 Oct 2026 14:00:23
Indeed Aus, could be better

Wheras Leeds showed up at home vs Newcastle, they had very underpar matches at home particularly vs Palace and also vs an albeit very good Brentford side.

We simply must do much better this Sunday at home to Man U.

2

14 Oct 2026 17:32:18
Only one good home performance this season so another one is a must on Sunday, especially with two tricky away games coming up.

3

14 Oct 2026 19:58:45
Baz I believe that's a great deal two years not sure on the money it he has received more, The large millions pay off as seen in many club over recent times is mind blowing we can't afford to waste money that could be spent on players. So I would say it's about his wages not sitting well with him.

2

14 Oct 2026 20:29:18
Indeed 2 hard away games coming up Feath.

Leeds United have won I believe just a paltry 3 EPL away games in 22 under Farke which really needs to improve asap!

It was our home form which kept us up last seez.let's beat Man U. best time to play em right now!

1

14 Oct 2026 20:32:39
One would expect he gets offered a pay increase Whitey.

Just have a feeling it will be only a 2 year offer.

Big month or so ahead to see what transpires.

1

15 Oct 2026 10:53:38
OK Baz, only 2 wins in 6, but then only 5 teams have won more. Only 1 loss in 6, but only 3 are undefeated, and 4 others have only lost 1. Goals against 5, joint lowest in PL with 4 other teams. Looked at in the round our record ain't too bad at all.

My uneducated guess at DFs new contract is an extra 3 years taking it from 2027 to 2030, plus a modest pay rise along with possible bonuses for targeted league position, or Euro qualification.

2

15 Oct 2026 12:39:24
Correct stats JR ; it's a decent to good start but as Feath noted we have 2 tough back to back away games coming up and our EPL away win record is bad under Farke ( 3 in 22) .

1

15 Oct 2026 13:59:30
Isn't it funny that we're 7th, but we think of Sunderland (17th) and Bournemouth (18th) as tough away fixtures. All fixtures are tough, but I'd hope to get something out of those two, hopefully at least 2 points.

1

16 Oct 2026 00:50:49
But only 1 PL loss away from home this season at arsenal.

1

13 Oct 2026 02:33:34
Love MOTD and watch every week as gives me that slice of home that I miss with living in Australia
But was disappointed with post match punditry, thought we were fantastic and had better of game till 62 mins, then they were very good.
All that was said was from Shearer was that Leeds were great but then all about how good gunners were, didn't show our numerous first half chances and then our goal not shown either.

They then started talking about city, not great imo, especially from Gabby who is a Leeds lass.
Did like watching weakness of Man U, think we have a great chance to win this game, they not great in their MF and think we can overrun them, id possibly like to drop a MF, maybe Tank and play Wilson floating in between their defence and MF
MOT.

7

13 Oct 2026 14:59:10
Melbourne I am fed up with it, can't wait to it's all done and dusted but I suppose it will be going on for years 🥱.

2

14 Oct 2026 08:15:08
They love the big 6 (and Spurs) .

The others, ourselves included, are there simply to make up the numbers!

1

14 Oct 2026 11:25:47
It's not just on TV that we're short changed by the BBC. Most evenings I switch in the West Yorkshire Sport programme at 6 pm on BBC Radio Leeds, and more often than not much more airtime is devoted to reporting on the Huddersfield Town and Bradford City games than for Leeds United.

2

15 Oct 2026 05:42:34
The media love to report about bad news only and rarely about successes, thats why the two Manchester clubs are grabbing the large majority of the headlines with the negative impact that is hitting these two clubs in particular and of course the non top six club Spurs.

Im personally glad that we are not perceived as a worthy club to report about as it keeps us under the radar.
Remember the days os Pistol packin' Pete and the Boyer and Woodgate saga, we were every journo and tv pundits favorite, really awful times in my opinion.

2

15 Oct 2026 08:52:40
Bbc radio Leeds is always promoting Leeds with the Don't go to bed pod cast!
Agree with the main Bbc with the match summary!

0

15 Oct 2026 11:06:33
Actually Cleggy, the so called "Big Six" did include Spuds, so without them it's now actually only 5. In fact pre 2008 Man City were only a mid table team, so then it was only 5 even if Spuds were included.

0

12 Oct 2026 21:22:29
Kinda interesting that just before the international break a few on here were taking the Michael out of Lampard and them having zero points and rock bottom of the table. An hour into tonight's game and they are winning 2-0 and at this moment are only 3 points behind Leeds!
Funny how things can change so quick.

5

12 Oct 2026 22:06:07
Think they have spuds next as well!

3

12 Oct 2026 22:20:01
Indeed they were Corkey re Lamps

Credit to all three promoted teams ; especially Hull and Ipswich on 9 points from 6 games ; all three might stay up

Feels like a very hard task now to correctly predict the bottom 3 come end of May.

3

12 Oct 2026 22:21:18
The Leeds 4 vs Newcastle 1 scoreline looks less impressive now with Coventry producing the same scoreline.

3

13 Oct 2026 00:29:10
On the other hand Brighton 1, Leeds 1 versus Coventry 0, Brighton 5 yields a less favourable comparison.

7

13 Oct 2026 01:22:18
True enough JR.although Coventry went down to 10 men at 1 nil vs Brighton

And 2 back to back wins now for Coventry have some decent players in forward areas at this level imo so have a chance

It looks wide open for teams to potentially be in a R scrap.

2

13 Oct 2026 02:16:21
This could be a season where all 3 relegated teams are established PL outfits. Fulham, Bournemouth and Villa look vulnerable at present, and of course we could lose Man Cheaty.

3

13 Oct 2026 07:21:38
Still way too early to make assumptions as to how newly promoted teams will fair this season, that also goes for teams that were promoted last season as well !
Sunderland possibly having that second season syndrome after over achieving last season.

2

13 Oct 2026 07:35:20
Is that a Sunderland assumption opti 🤔.

3

13 Oct 2026 11:18:03
It's a reasonable assumption to have on Sunderland.

2

13 Oct 2026 11:46:27
Newcastle don't look particularly safe at the moment either.

2

13 Oct 2026 13:03:45
At the moment nobody but nobody is safe. The minute anyone starts thinking things are going well, is likely to be the time it all goes tits up.

3

13 Oct 2026 13:38:41
I'd say gunners Brighton Brentford Chelsea are safe. The rest is a lottery. Gonna be an up and downer.

2

13 Oct 2026 15:01:43
I don't mind Coventry can't stand there manager. Hope we drill them I've started reading things.

0

13 Oct 2026 17:01:54
We all think we had a bad time being relegated in 2004, going down to League 1 and taking 16 years to get back to the PL in 2020. Coventry were relegated in 2001, went down as far as League 2, had a fallout with their stadium owners and had to play their home games 35 miles away in Northampton, and only got back this year after an absence of 25 years.

I can't stand fat Frank either, especially after the pack of lies he came up with after the Bielsa spying affair, but if any fans have had a hard time it's those of Coventry.

Effort Has to Be Liverpool's Bare Minimum

{Ed's Note - MCR has posted a new article entitled, Effort Has to Be Liverpool's Bare Minimum

1

12 Oct 2026 00:41:42
Tbh. On that display v gunners yesterday. Mainly the first 60 minutes I am expecting very few problems next 4 games. 12 points gettable I reckon.

3

12 Oct 2026 01:12:12
Well Aus we've currently won 2 in 6 EPL matches

So to win next 4 matches
Man U ( H ) ,Sunderland ( A) , Bournemouth ( A) and Spuds ( H) would be somewhat amazing

Last seez we accumulated just 3 points ( 3 draws and 1 defeat) from these matches.

I am hoping for a realistic 7 points this seez but I am a tad concerned about our goalscoring.

3

12 Oct 2026 08:50:36
Hope you're right, Aus! That would be an amazing return!

3

12 Oct 2026 12:46:02
Agree Aus.

Keep it up lads, can't wait for you know who on Sunday!!!!

3

12 Oct 2026 13:16:59
Again, its about time we beat Man U at Elland Road in EPL, as Leeds have not won any of the past 5 EPL home matches vs Man U
(Harry Kewell winner the last home win)

It's a good opportunity because Man U arent that good at moment.

3

12 Oct 2026 13:34:22
Man U guy at my bar in Mandurah Australia dreading playing us. He reckons we will win easy 😳.

4

12 Oct 2026 18:48:40
I hope your man is right Aus, but the form book is usually out of the window for this one.

2

11 Oct 2026 17:25:48
A friend of mine came up with the best suggestion I've heard so far re a suitable punishment for Man City.

No demotion to a lower league - it's the Premier Leagues problem, not the EFL

10 year ban from European competition.

50 point penalty every season for the next 10 seasons.

No inward transfers for the next 10 years.

Now whilst some will say that's too draconian no doubt City will appeal and given that the footballing authorities have the backbone of a jelly it's bound to be reduced - let's say by half.

But 5 years and say 30 points is enough.

Think about it - let's say they get 90/95 points this season. Take away 30 and they are down to 60/65 points (that's top half of the table but no europe next year or any new faces coming in)

By the summer break the vultures will be circling and at least 2 maybe 3 of the big stars will be lured away (they are not going to get champions league for another 4/5 years and no chance of winning the Premier league) .

Therefore in the 2nd year without the likes of Haaland or Cherki for example, their points tally is going to be potentially down to 70/75 - which goes down to 40/45 after the deduction.

By year 3, at least a couple more stars will want out, and therefore the likelihood of reaching safety (which has to be a minimum of 65 points) starts to become increasingly unlikely and therefore by such time you could see them being relegated. That's important because demotion shifts the problem to the EFL whereas relegation is the 'normal' way of things.

By season 4 they will have lost nearly all their current squad, can only replace with their own academy players, are now in the championship, no champions league money and facing at least 2 more seasons of a 30 point deduction.

Finally, any money they receive from the sale of their star players must be used to pay off any of the claims other clubs may bring against them.

It's not perfect, but nothing ever will be, but at least this way it's a Premier league problem not an EFL one, and it punishes City over a period of time - in the same way that they cheated over a period of years.

Thoughts guys?

11 Oct 2026 18:57:17
If only Cleggy, but it's an interesting set of sanctions

For me my main wish is for :

1) The disciplinary commission impose the sanction of stripping Citeh of the numerous trophies they won between 2009 -2018.karma!

And

2) This process is expedited asap

However, very unsatisfactory for the sport's integrity, I think it is likely imo, that Citeh will get off very lightly with

nothing more than a one off points deduction, that wont be large enough to relegate them

plus a ( meaningless ) fine.

3

11 Oct 2026 20:14:28
To me the one overriding sanction that must, must, MUST be imposed is a compulsory change of ownership, and a ban on the existing owners owning any English football club ever again, and if 10 Downing St doesn't like then tough sh#t.
Then having cheated their way to multiple titles, they must be expelled from the PL, and whilst it's true it's not an EFL problem, it does partly work to their advantage in that reducing the PL to 19 teams creates an additional spot in the top tier of the football hierarchy and effectively an additional promotion spot in each of the lower divisions.

If the EFL re-admits them to League 2, that problem stops there. Points deductions, transfer bans and Euro bans would be irrelevant for at least 4 years, and fines or reparations could be considered separately.

5

11 Oct 2026 22:51:45
I'm not so sure Baz, I think the authorities have to be seen to hit them hard otherwise you are opening the door for other billionaire owned clubs to do exactly the same.

Only time will tell - let's hope they get a move on with it regardless, as they cannot keep on kicking this can down the road. It's gone on far too long already!

4

11 Oct 2026 23:21:25
Definitely concur with JR that there must be a change of ownership; but will there be ?

It's a good follow up point Cleggy

Well if you fancy a flutter on a more harsher punishment, current odds for Citeh to be relegated for the 26/27 season range from 5/4 to 9/4.

4

12 Oct 2026 03:02:13
But relegated where to Baz? Relegation to the Champo would be far too lenient, if that were all the punishment they got, they'd hold on to enough of their stars to virtually guarantee promotion back to the PL after just one season, then they'd be back shiny and new like nothing had happened. If they were sent to league 2 on the other hand, I can't see Haarland & co being prepared to put up with a minimum of 3 years out of the top flight, so they really would have to start again from scratch, but this time not with owners with bottomless pockets.

We were out for 16 years, Coventry 25, Forest 23, and Ipswich 22, that's what I think they should have to look forward to.

5

12 Oct 2026 08:40:16
I think they can only apply to join the football league at the bottom. So would have to start at league 2. That's what I read anyway.

4

12 Oct 2026 12:34:30
If that was Leeds I would be hoping for a lot less, it's the first of such incidents as with other incidents recently fine may be points ban on recruitment for 5 years, books done every six months. End of move on. ( good job I am not on the panel🤣🤣)

2

12 Oct 2026 12:47:48
If it were Leeds Whiteman we'd probably be playing on the local parks pitch next Sunday - you know how much the authorities love us!

1

12 Oct 2026 15:21:31
Cleggy I do unfortunately,we would still be calling for less,as I am now.

1

12 Oct 2026 15:23:57
If another club does it again they will be hit very hard just like Southampton has been,

2

13 Oct 2026 11:49:57
If relegated it wouldn't be possible to impose any points deduction in the following season's so maybe those deductions would have to wait until such a time they were back in the EPL.

Overall I think that's a big too harsh and can't see it being implemented but interesting thoughts certainly.
