Wonder if we will be the team to get old fat head Brucie the bullet?

Is there any point Newcastke changing now? If they bring someone new in they won't even be able to sign any players.

He looks more and more like a squashed Cornish pastie every time I see him! 🤣🤣🤣.

So how many games will Rodrigo be banned for.
Spitting at any time is bad but during c.v.
I didn't see any spit but the motion and mouth movement will no doubt lead to a big issue for us.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

26 Jan 2021 23:15:02
None seen as shar has said Rodrigo did not spit at him. Just the journo’s trying to cause rubbish as usual.

Agree2 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 23:54:23
Schar has since confirmed that Rodrigo did NOT spit at him so hopefully that will be the end of it.

Great battling display from everyone tonight special mention for Struick who I thought looked our best CB tonight Rodrigo (although still struggling with stamina) showed some class snd of course Rafhina what a buy he has proved to be.

Agree3 Disagree0

27 Jan 2021 07:39:22
Good on Schar for his honesty. Many players would try and get another in trouble in this kind of situation regardless of what did or did not happen.

Agree2 Disagree0

27 Jan 2021 08:35:02
Class, agree re Struick. Not been easy for him, gone from under 23s to premiership in a few months and in and out of the team and different positions. Yesterday must have been preparing for some bench warming time and on he goes again after 9 mins. Not ideal but with Llorente looking to be out for a few games again could be that a run of games at CB will help him grow more confident. He has the height and build to be a real asset in both boxes.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Jan 2021 10:42:53
Good to hear, was worried about that as it looked dubious.

26 Jan 2021 21:11:24
Not really a rumour, but an interesting post on the BBC website about Diego Costa being an option for Man City for the 2nd half of the season.

With our new investment might be an option for us?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

27 Jan 2021 07:39:45
In a word, no.

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 20:29:07
Maybe, just maybe at this late stage it will prove the right decision, against all advice, to not buy this winter. Only time and the 40 points will tell but I hope that certain pre contract discussions are taking place. There are at least a dozen I would take out of the bottom three.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

26 Jan 2021 21:37:36
Think 38 will be enough this season.

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 22:27:52
The market is vastly inflated right now, with cash flow limited. I don’t want us to buy right now. Shrewd to stay as we are.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Jan 2021 07:33:59
I suggested back in December that we wouldn’t get anyone in this window! I was shot down a little by one of the Ed’s who insisted we would! I just think it doesn’t really work for Bielsa teams.
Quite noticeable though is the real lack of any transfer activity from anyone! Financial climate really taking its toll!
Don’t think anyone is going to be waiting up on the final day of the window!

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Jan 2021 08:49:16
Come the summer the teams (most of them) will be in far more dire straits and willing to unload at even more reasonable prices.

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 20:25:17
Buzzing with this win

Very, very, very welcome victory, 2 goals and 3 points.

Disappointing re Llorente wishing him a good recovery asap

The Chief Lucas Radebe had a difficult first season with injury for Leeds but still had an amazing career for Leeds in the following seasons ; hopefully Llorente will also.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

26 Jan 2021 20:58:23
If (when) we get the 40+ points it will be a miracle the amount of bad luck we have had at the back.
I wonder how much of a gamble it was playing llorente and would it have been wiser to have played Struijk from the start. The lad has never let us down at CB.

+.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 21:09:37
Heartily agree, he'll be like a new signing which would be good. I too would not think new signing right now would be 100% necessary.

Summer business I'd hope to move on a few on the fringes who are on not insignificant money, like Forshaw, Casilla (obviously) and perhaps even Helder Costa. You'd think that's remarkably 100K a week in wages or near enough on those three. I think Costa's time is coming to the end, and if Poveda and Summerville can push on we won't really need Costa, who has struggled since the early stages of the season.

I think we would most likely do with four signings in the summer (an out-and-out left back, a backup keeper ideally with Prem experience, a CAM replacement for Hernandez (who'd i'd love to stay as a coach) and a striker who would compliment Bamford, someone who'd come on and carry a more legitimate goal threat than Roberts for example. Bear in mind that our option to get Harrison in permanently will need to be exercised to. Oh and if Brighton get relegated Ben white - have a few friends who are Brighton fans and they say he's doing well at CB or in Kalvin Phillips role.

If we're lucky enough to have some dead rubbers at the end of the season, would love to see the likes of, Gelhardt, Greenwood, Summerville, Drameh, Jenkins, cresswell and casey get some minutes because it might well be that we can solve some 'needs' internally.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Jan 2021 08:57:48
Good post Ealing. Certainly would like to see a natural goalscorer to convert more of the many chances created. IF Koch/ Llorente come good maybe we don't need White?

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Jan 2021 12:50:29
Yeah Jury is out on Koch/ Llorente right now they still have their reputations tho as internationals - some hope. I think one issue is that Oliver Casey sounds like his development just might have stalled a little. A year ago he was on the fringes of the first team for a few games if I remember but in the year since he's not done great. Might be that we decide he's not going to make it or he proves me wrong (would love this to be the case) . Cresswell still earning rave reviews and a little younger. On white, i think two things, the first he can help in cdm as well as centre back and would be better than struijk there. The second, I'd only move for White if Brighton got relegated which would hopefully drive down the price, which is no guarantee.

Fabtastic 3 points today and a vital win. Well done the lads for holding on and pleasing to see 2 goals from 2 different scorers.

Gutted about Llorente- we are just having no luck at all at the back right now.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

26 Jan 2021 20:18:02
A real nerve jangler Alf, but 3 vital points. Llorente so unlucky again, but hopefully his luck will turn and he will come good for us.

26 Jan 2021 20:19:56
Agree.

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 20:25:52
I have to say hats off to Struijk for his performance today.

Desperately sad for Llorente.

Hard earned 3 points.

Rodrigo played 90 minutes and collapsed at the end. good to see.

Meslier earned his keep. really need someone to work on his handling of corners and crosses.

Raphinha and Harrison are definitely premier league class pair. Ayling and Struijk owned st maximin. Also good to see.

All round . handy result. we’re now 5 wins from safety from the final 19 games and a platform for next season.

Agree2 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 20:35:08
The 3 points really important - we won't play at our best every week, good to see the team holding out for the win and digging in. Looks like MB and team learning the PL as they go. Raph and Rod good tonight - correct substitutions as Bamford and Alioski not at it.

Agree2 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 22:12:05
Toronto I don't agree we owned St Maximim.
He was incredible for first 15 mins he was on, I honestly believe he was exhausted after that dude to the virus.
Was very happy with Struijk though. When/ if we ever get Koch or Llorente fit he will partner them over Cooper. At least I hope so.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Jan 2021 07:38:07
Yes St Max was a real handful when he came on! Very strong on the ball and won them some decent free kicks that they then wasted!

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 20:03:15
That was a huge victory, battle of two teams who are in poor form, it was vital and 5 more wins takes us to 41 .

Believable1 Unbelievable0

26 Jan 2021 20:20:29
Agree, can be difficult against any premiership team when not in form.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 20:21:25
Cooper really
Nicked it of Wilson time after time, definitely wasnt poor.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 20:32:24
Cooper was fine on the ground mostly but terrible serially.
Try to head the ball and stop trying to wrestle the man.
Struijk was excellent today and to me will be a great central defender long term.

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 19:59:00
Not pretty, but another 3 points. Really rode our luck at times and made it harder than it should have been. Cooper, bamford and Rodrigo all poor tonight.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

26 Jan 2021 20:21:11
Agree on bamford. Rodrigo did his job and got an assist.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 20:21:51
Really Rodi poor? Mezz rod was really good tonight his link up play with Raph really caused problems for barcodes, he is really willing to get box to box for the team and is continually adjusting to a totally different role in uK.

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 20:34:02
I agree Rodders is getting better but I do feel there is a lot more to come from him.
Bamford couldn't keep hold of the ball at all today, very poor.
Struijk was a lot better than Cooper today.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 21:00:30
Played ok 3 good point there wish we had Maxie boy roll on Sunday feel sorry for Llorente he looks a very good player mot.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 19:24:24
Bamford too casual leads to the Newcastle goal.
Rightly substituted.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

26 Jan 2021 20:02:25
Rightly or wrongly substituted, Roberts is not the answer.

Agree2 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 20:15:58
We only have Tyler Roberts to replace Bamford up front! let's see if this new 49er investment finds a CB and Striker.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 20:17:47
100% agree, he wants to score and play every week but needs quality competition from the bench.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 19:20:48
Their goal - Bamford giving the ball away!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

26 Jan 2021 20:02:59
Suppose some1 has to concede possession for them to gain it?

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 20:18:49
Robbed or tackled, understandable. Poor, misplaced pass, unforgivable.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 18:58:49
Good job we are good at getting the ball back because we are certainly good at giving it away.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

26 Jan 2021 20:03:46
Yawn Leodis, have some positivity man.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 18:57:29
I said we needed a CB for no other reason than not rushing Llorente back. Too late for Tomori.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

26 Jan 2021 19:56:58
Radz has said no investment in players in this window, so he will bank 49 money buy himself the best wine he can .

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 20:04:44
2 months and we will have Koch and llorente. Can’t predict another random injury if you don’t subscribe to a crystal ball can you?

Never! Wow, I’m glad your here to point that out to every Leeds fan.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 18:14:10
Well that’s us definitely got to get a CB in on loan now and just writs llorente off until next season and get him properly fit for then. Any ideas folks.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

26 Jan 2021 18:59:00
Striker for me
Bamford needs someone pushing him.

Klich dropped to bench.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

26 Jan 2021 17:52:25
Fair enough Klich needs to re find his mojo first to deserve a guaranteed starting place.

Maybe he will be more effective coming on from the bench with 25 minutes to go.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 17:55:33
Klitch being dropped, I didn’t think it would happen, but it certainly needed to, the lad looks off it at the moment, following the same pattern as last season, started with a blast then went missing.

It looks a good team out there for tonight’s game. I am travelling on a train across Austria at the moment, hope I can find some commentary of sorts to listen to it.

MOT.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 16:01:08
Yes. but I hear he had to pack his thermal pad to sit on during the game again. which is a tad disappointing.

Most especially because I want to see Ayling rampant again.

The one thing to remember is Rads, the 49'rs and now, You Tubes Chad Hurley are all investors so will be looking for a return on that investment.

There was an article recently saying a second investment company had been set up alongside the 49'rs original investment company.
Both with slightly different trading names.
Questions were asked why the 49'rs needed a second company to invest in Leeds.
It appears the second company was made up of a number of smaller investors who have clubbed together to buy the 22% stake
Chad Hurley is quoted that he along with others had invest in the second company which was lead by the 49'rs.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

26 Jan 2021 13:54:15
I think Radz also sees the 49ers as a possible exit strategy as he has said they could become majority owners in the future.

villadave during your promotion year when you came to Leeds every coach of villa fans came from the Midlands go to a Leeds away game you'll see coaches from many Counties and its been that way since the 70s only Man U and Liverpool had more supporters clubs around the Country than Leeds hence our far superior National support to yours whether that's palatable you or not.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

26 Jan 2021 10:50:49
Bozooka who said there has been 20 to 25 parties interested in investing in Leeds seen it’s the same ones every time a bit there and a bit here, not enough to buy what we really need, Oh yes it was Radz, silly me.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 12:02:37
Yes Whiteman, Radz stated so.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 15:57:17

Also, can you tell me where all these foreign coaches are coming from.
You have said many countries?

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 16:00:25

This has increasingly been a hugely important day for" Global Brand Leeds United"

More information on this increasingly exciting, increasingly significant long term development project for Global Brand Leeds United and San Francisco 49ers Enterprises.

Radz stating that ' 20 to 25 parties have been interested in significantly investing in Leeds United in the past few years'

Radz stating that he has 'more ambitions to fulfil such as holding European nights in front of a renovated stadium ' before San Francisco 49ers Enterprises become ( likely) majority shareholder.

Happy Days indeed.

Lot on here talking about Leeds being a big club, well we were once, big in terms of football fan base, with big history, but that all in the past, we had 17 years out of the PL, and will be many years before we can repeat that.

Vile Dave laughably and nonsensically states below Leeds supporters are jealous of Vile lol.

In Vile Dave's 60 odd " glorious" years of supporting the Vile sometime in the 1960s he has seen his team win the League a grand total of drumeoll ONCE ( whoopy do VD😃🤪) during which Leeds United have been League Champions three times.

Yeah maybe one could say one could be jealous of certain other teams success . but jealous of Vile? Seriously Vile Dave? As if.

One hit wonders.
Blink and you miss it sort of thing.

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 08:52:18
That’s a bit of an odd statement aus, seeing as the couple of years we were NOT in the premier league is about the same sub total that you guys HAVE played in the premier league. kinda seems like your the 1 hit wonders when u think about it. the opinion on here is generally that nobody but MB could of done what he done in a few seasons and got u promoted with the players you have (your words not mine) but dean the so called “numpty” had us back in the premier league in half a season, can’t keep a big club down, even Bournemouth look like coming straight back up, one wonders how it took mighty Leeds the guts of 20 years to claw their way back😂😂.

Dean humpty smith, inherited a very good team built by Steve Bruce, with a lot of loan signings
Bruce bought in McGinn, and Abraham,
You were also fortunate to go up through the play offs, against West Brom you were hanging on, then u beat Derby who to be honest had already had there cup final.

26 Jan 2021 11:26:08
Smith got a premier league squad promoted while breaking financial limits, Bielsa got a mid level championship squad promoted.
No comparison.

Agree2 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 13:18:56
So u admit then we are a premier league outfit? And ye are a mid table championship side that without MB will be back to square 1 when he leaves this summer or next?

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 13:56:47
Depends how we add to the squad Whack. If we invest shrewdly then we will build a squad capable of challenging the top 6 but if not then yes we will probably go back to being mid level Champ.

Agree2 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 15:16:07
Just because you have coaching staff with dubious morals, owners who 'find a way' to not be charged with FFP despite incurring losses greater than allowed in 3 years in a single season and a captain who should be in jail for drunk driving and sober diving in no way means you are not a premier league club (although you should be after last seasons goal line farce) . Villa are a big club for sure. The biggest by far in our 2nd biggest city.
100% we would still be championship material without Bielsa, which is why he is the best, he turned us around completely and in a short period of time.
With good investment he will continue to improve both the club and the squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2021 17:35:55
Sorry rich I was replying to aus claim that he don’t see us as a premier league team above☝️☝️, Alf I agree fully, lots of potential there just need a few additions. Canada I agree to a point, but no point calling our guys dubious when MB was caught spying (cheating) actually admitted to doing so on every team, however he did redeem himself against us that time which I have said many times it was very good sportsmanship, I think it’s a bit harsh to say jack should be in jail he hasn’t hurted anyone, he is however a player who would probably walk straight into 18 if not 20 of the teams in the league so a very valuable asset that we are grateful to have, I’m in Ireland so I don’t know to much about who has the biggest support on the road, I do know we pretty much had biggest attendance throughout our time in the championship, season predictions I don’t think there will be much between us come may, I do think we’ll be higher though.
