After watching the match back tonight, I have to say, from a Leeds point of view that referee Oliver had an awful game. Leeds got 4 bookings to 1, what was that all about?

When has Oliver had a good game?

21 Feb 2026 23:48:58
I agree, Feath. I thought the same; it appeared that the officiating was very one-sided. I noticed Farke having a go at them at half time as they walked off the pitch.

I used to think Oliver was one of the better refs, but these days he's a real soft touch at times. He's a classic example of someone who has never played the game and is easily duped into awarding free kicks for fouls that have never occurred (and subsequently cards) .

He was particularly poor yesterday, and I'll be honest, given the way Buendia and Bailey (thankfully no McGinn) throw themselves down, I was convinced he was going to give them a penalty at some point.

He was a home bird of the highest order yesterday. The Villa theatrics were on show again yesterday, as they were at Er.

100% Feath. Appalling.

Rumour we will have 100 million to spend in the summer that's nearly one player off City or Chelsea or 2/ 3 of issak take that you bounders.

2

22 Feb 2026 00:01:57
If that's true, Oldbri, then I think we can expect 3 or 4 top-quality signings for £100 million, plus a loan or two, that will improve our current squad considerably and, imo, see us secure mid-table next season, maybe a chance of a Europa Conference spot.

I read yesterday that Chelsea are looking at Delemba, but may have to go against their transfer policy to secure him. What transfer policy is that then?

1

22 Feb 2026 01:20:48
No more loans please.

22 Feb 2026 07:28:54
Oldbri, you forgot to add that they are also considering sacking DF for a younger, aggressive manager in the same article.

22 Feb 2026 08:31:01
Daniel Farke has made Leeds very, very hard to play against. Yesterday he staved Villa of movement in the middle, got his tactics spot, and the team are playing for each other. Well done to him.

2

22 Feb 2026 08:50:28
Yeah, that's right, Whiteman, but if we stay up, DF definitely deserves to stay. As for the money, it was a tongue-in-cheek dig at the crazy amounts some teams pay for individual players, and I agree, CW.

We have the basis of a strong PL team, but we're not there yet, and we don't want to get silly and spoil what we have next season. We're in the Premiership and need to build carefully and wisely to ensure we stay there.

Fully agree, Oldbri, but it just goes to show it's not just the fans. They are expressing their opinions.

Good day all around, Ireland hammer somebody at Twikkers, and a point at villa.

A very well earned point against Villa. Amazing goal by Stach really chuffed for him, pity Gruev didn't bury his chance, at two nil the game would've been ours.
At one nil I always felt they would get that equalizer.

Really happy how we can compete with these teams who have far better players than us, not to mention the depth of quality that they can call upon.

21 Feb 2026 18:11:39
Agreed 100%. We had a few chances (two from DCL, Nmecha's header and Gruev's shot) and didn't take them. Whole team played well and should be proud. A well earned point regardless of when we conceded.

What a goal, OP. We matched them & probably should have won! But we do the Leedsy thing & concede late on. Still happy with a point. Up The Whites Down The Pints. 🤍💛💙

A point we would have snapped your hand off for before the game. But it is just a tad disappointing to concede late again. The big chance was Nmecha's header to make it two and win the game. Nevertheless, a great point against one of the top teams. Another 11 points to take us to 42 will do for me.

Deserved all three points but would have taken one before the game started - away at Villa, never going to be easy.

Looking at everyone's fixtures around us, we have only got the two Manchester clubs (of those in/ around the top six/ seven) left to play, whilst everyone else have got 5 or 6 of the top boys to play.

A point might feel a bit underwhelming but come the end of the season, they all count!

Feeling confident tonight - come on Arsenal, do the Spuds!

MOT guys:)

An interesting stat (well, I think it's interesting) is that when we have played our opposition, the opposition's relative form at the time of the game is 1.48 points per game. That's the highest in the EPL. As it stands now, everything being equal, our remaining fixtures mean playing teams who are currently earning 1.13 points per game.

21 Feb 2026 19:24:13
Great stat, Ani.

22 Feb 2026 06:36:53
And our next game is Man City, who are on 2.07 points per game, so after that, if you recalculate for the remaining 10 teams after them, you'll end up with an even lower number.

Football such a cruel game, don't buy that Abraham meant that equaliser at all.

What a fantastic Stach goal such a shame he cannot go 90 mins as yet, I'm still not totally convinced by Longstaff, but he's rusty after long lay off and given our very tough run of fixtures good point.

21 Feb 2026 17:10:27
Ok I will put it out there and wait for the abuse DCL is overrated his first touch let's him down and a few times today he messed around too much so the opportunity was lost, yes he scores poachers goals but for me not good enough.

More than good enough to ensure our survival and revitalise his career. I reckon he will want to move on in summer, and I can't blame him, and we can make a load of money off of him. Symbiotic relationship, which has done both of us well.

2

22 Feb 2026 02:33:56
Agree, Croft. He was poor today.

This has to stop! We do the same whenever we take the lead away from home. I lost count of away wins we could/ should have had this season. So frustrating.

5

21 Feb 2026 18:15:01
We have tried to bring in a striker and will at some point. However, Dcl has been a godsend in some games. We need to find a way of keeping a clean sheet, but we would have taken a point at the start and we could have won this game.

Man City next. Let's take what we play, as we did, and maybe take 3 points. Well done, lads. Keep it going.

21 Feb 2026 21:47:15
Another way of looking at it, Corley, is that these teams can't beat us anymore. We are very different, and very difficult to beat at the moment.

2

22 Feb 2026 01:23:59
I agree, Ani. But, if we manage to stay up, then next season things will have to change.

22 Feb 2026 06:19:29
It's not as bad as you think, Corkey; this season, we have gone behind in 5 matches and gone on to get something from the game, which is the same number of times we have taken the lead and gone on to drop points.

1

21 Feb 2026 16:57:53
Gutting, when are we going to actually be able to see a game out. 🤯🤯.

Keep it tight chaps.
