I'm off to bed. Wake me up if a deal sheet goes in.

Deal sheet has gone in.

Well, well, well, shiver me timbers, peeps.

Now, that was a surprisingly pretty good final day of the window.

A LB and LW / forward.. no less.

Well done, the Leeds United hierarchy.

My summer window transfer score upgraded to 8/10.

Potentially higher.. let's see how LUFC season's matches unfurl.

Pendulum swings like a pendulum do.

Chelsea's pendulum went flying!

Hwang going to Schalke. Only one coming in tonight.
But can you believe it. Two private jets on the runway at Lyon waiting for Fofana to decide whether he takes the one on the left to Sunderland or the one on the right to Palace.
Can't decide, so has a medical at a private hospital in Lyon which either club can use but still undecided.

The owner of Sunderland flies out to try and persuade him to join them but still not convinced. Needs more time.
They don't need time. If they buy in to what you are then they sign and if they don't you move on.

Sorry pal, but that is total b*******.
Imagine choosing a holiday abroad: You pick the nicest destination. If I'm a French geezer coming to England, I'm choosing South London over Sunderland.

He doesn't have to live in Sunderland, Corkey, and there's plenty of nice places with an hour commute!

1

01 Sep 2026 22:00:14
Ok, Bright.

01 Sep 2026 18:40:39
Just waiting for the doom mongers on here to rubbish our new flying attacker and say we should have tried for Mbappe or Haaland!
This has been a brilliant window for us and fair play to all involved.

Hands up - blindsided, and I'll swallow my medicine. If it comes off, I'm happy for that!

01 Sep 2026 20:33:47
Just read a piece there.
Bahoya 1st ever Bundesliga player to hit 37kmh.
His stats are a tad exciting, also.

Seems a good un.

01 Sep 2026 20:54:32
Sad to see Willie going. He played great in the new formation in preseason, and I don't care what anyone says.

4

01 Sep 2026 21:09:25
So am I, White man. I think he could have done a good job in that role, given the opportunity.
Hopefully he has a good season at Florentna and gets his career back on track. He deserves it because he's a great character and always gave his all.

3

01 Sep 2026 21:57:08
Chris, his stats are ok at best.
However, in saying that he's only 21 and hopefully will improve.
However, again, I guarantee Daniel Farke won't start the lad this season.
His YouTube looks good tho.

Dunelm, I second that mate 100%.

01 Sep 2026 22:21:45
Your reply trumped my retort, Cork.
Hence why I used "tad", and am also cognizant of his young age.

02 Sep 2026 04:12:19
You guarantee it, Corkster? I reckon he does start games this season. Maybe not lots, but I feel he will get starts. Can't wait to see him turn the gas on against tired legs tho! Opposition defenders gonna have to sit deep off him, or risk being turned and gassed by staying very tight.

How can Ipswich have over 170 million to spend and we don’t or should we have but 49ers are not playing ball?

0

01 Sep 2026 19:04:00
Don't know for sure, Whiteman, but it may be in the same vein as Sunderland last year, because they didn't spend a lot over the preceding couple of years and sold players that were either Academy players or those with little owing. They could spend a s*** load when they went up. Either way, the system is utterly floored!

01 Sep 2026 18:56:16
Didn't you hear Whitey that Marathe is keeping back 50 mill just in case a marquee player becomes available?

1

01 Sep 2026 19:12:05
SCR is quite complicated. You can spend up to 115% of revenue without being penalised, but the actual Premier League limit is 85%. In Europe, it's even lower at 70%.

With the Premier League, if you go over 85%, say to 92% (+7) , then your limit for the following season, before sanctions, reduces, so would be 108%.

We seem to have included an obligation for Bohoya to limit how far over 85% we go, but by most accounts we will be over. Say around 95%.
The good news is we have some future outgoing fees sort of baked in.

Ramazani at 6.5m is basically guaranteed, and Piroe, if Hammers promoted, for a further £8m. That helps.
Assuming we stay up, id regrettably expect a major, profitable sale next season. Ampadu, Stach, or one of the defenders. Not because the 49ers can't back us, but to back us they need us to stay SCR compliant.
They are building the stadium and the fan park for revenue, but that won't impact it overnight.

01 Sep 2026 19:31:02
Stop talking sense, Ealing. People can't handle it. :)

8

01 Sep 2026 19:38:58
We were at 91% yesterday, so Willie and Ramz transfers should improve that, but we will be over 85% at the close of the window.
The only ones under yesterday were the big six, excluding Chelsea (although that might change with the Fernandez sale) , Sunderland, and the three promoted sides.

It will be interesting to see what the figures are tomorrow, especially Bournemouth, who were up at 125%. They might need a big late sale or one in January.

1

01 Sep 2026 19:50:03
Corkey, not a lot of people know that. 👏

2

01 Sep 2026 19:51:17
Thanks, General. 👍

01 Sep 2026 19:54:30
Yeah Bournemouth are slightly struggling and far more vulnerable than they look.
They had a superb coach in Iraola who helped them punch above their weight. But their revenues will always be hurt by having the tiny stadium without real room to grow it unless they move.
Kroupi's broken foot is a real blow for them both in terms of staying up (I think in a huge transition year that has to be their aim) and extracting their value for him.

Depending where they are in Jan, if they are looking good they'll 100% sell Scott to get nearer compliance. Rayan is another option but given Scott won't sign a new contract he's more likely. Losing Senesi on a free really hurt their model too.
More a Bournemouth post, but it's about assessing our rivals, I guess, and I feel we're better placed than them, Sunderland, Palace, the promoted sides - though I rate Ipswich - and Fulham.

1

https://liverpool-rumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_Ed001.png avatar{Ed001's Note - they are filling in the open corners for this season. One of the stands is to be rebuilt with 2 tiers as well. Rayon will almost certainly go in January as his release clause kicks in.

Sorry Ed for the profanity, typo, should have said 'shed' load

I'm in 100% agreement with Staffs. This site should be called Leeds Whingers rather than Leeds Banter. I know we all want the best for our club and the best way to achieve that is to just get behind our team and the management and enjoy our season.

If it starts to look like it's going to be a crap season then that's the time for moaning. On the other hand if it's a decent season let's not spoil it with constant moaning. We would probably all enjoy a more positive site.

I'm well happy regarding this window 6p.
We have England's No1 keeper (in waiting) , and we have Tariq, who I think will be proven to be as good, if not better, than any other CB in the EPL. Plus, we have Elvedi, who is also a proven top CB (both a massive improvement on Pascal) .
We have Wilson (who I have rated for a few years) for nothing, when we were prepared to £30m last year.

We have cover at LB (finally) , and he looks decent.
We have got this speedster from Frankenfurter, who might just turn out to be Rapha Mk 2.
If we secure another striker in the last few hours, it's an 11/10 window for me.
We should all be very positive imo. 👍👍

01 Sep 2026 19:40:20
Oh im very happy assuming Bard and Bahoya get over the line. I'd give the window an 8.5/10. The lack of a striker signing accounts for minus 1, and too many loans/options/obligations outgoing for -0.5.

But Trafford, Muharemovic, Wilson, Zetterer, Elvedi, Bard, and Bahoya are in.

Darlow, Meslier, Ramazani, Piroe, Gnonto, Harrison, Struijk, Gelhardt, Byram are out.

The squad now feels streamlined without feeling outrageously lacking.

If we had a huge injury crisis, you'd back the likes of Lienou, Mills, Cresswell to help until January as true emergencies.

What feels really exciting is that three signings feel genuine starters, three feel competitive squad members (for now) , and Zetterer feels like an unknown a bit. Compared to only Darlow and Struijk feeling like genuinely noticeable exits.

01 Sep 2026 17:25:32
I see we are making a late go at Bohoya? Surely we can’t, can we?

1

01 Sep 2026 17:54:08
There are rumours around that we are.
It can't be any less likely than two jets on the runway at Lyon, waiting for Fofana to decide whether he goes to Sunderland or Palace.
There's always pandemonium and bizarre events on the last day of the window. A night of surprises.

01 Sep 2026 18:21:31
Loan, with obligation @30m.

01 Sep 2026 18:25:31
Leeds given the go ahead for Willy deal, does this mean we have the replacement?

1

01 Sep 2026 18:33:32
The Italian window closes 4 hours before England, so if they've given the go ahead for Willie to go out on loan, they must be totally confident of getting at least one new signing in.
If not, we're very lean. Too lean.

01 Sep 2026 18:37:52
Done deal apparently.. Oh, what will be the angle now?

3

01 Sep 2026 18:46:28
You know what's happening here..
Willy will register at Fiorentina only for ours to collapse!!
Fingers crossed, not!

0

01 Sep 2026 18:49:08
Well, that concludes drama queen day.

5

02 Sep 2026 04:15:19
No collapse for us, but Chelsea and Everton suffered complete burnouts. 🤣🤣
They're just such Leeds wannabes!

01 Sep 2026 16:48:20
Once again we watch as others are spending crazy money. Makes me wonder why we always seem to be broke. We have spent around £55million net, which is the lowest spend in the league. Something doesn’t add up.

6

01 Sep 2026 17:15:25
Baz Bingo ..house.
See.. So in the end I was right re Leeds spending net the lowest in EPL.

1

01 Sep 2026 17:27:54
Sadly, we're actually the 12th highest net spenders this season, but let's not let facts get in the way of a good moan.

01 Sep 2026 17:32:58
What, Brockers, are you sure?

Mick Joel, you let us down, fella, lol. 😆

0

01 Sep 2026 17:44:29
All Forest's arrivals just about balance out Anderson, so not even close to last!

3

01 Sep 2026 18:40:14
Your maths, Mickjoel, is the only thing adding up, I'm afraid.

Still, you gave Baz a little flutter, thinking (finally) one of his "predictions" has come to pass.

3

01 Sep 2026 19:13:11
Lol, Ani, very droll, but how so?

As this seez, so far, I have predicted correctly the Forest 0 vs Leeds 1 correct score..

I am on a hot streak, fella.

0

01 Sep 2026 19:49:58
No one argues, you get one right now and then, Baz, a broken clock..

Only this weekend, Leeds 2 Brentford 1?

"We won't buy a striker."

2

01 Sep 2026 20:27:23
Ani, but just a Dan James chipped shot whisker away from it being 2 1.

And I am excited about the potential Bahoya transfer.. hopefully it's completed. But isn't he a winger, not a striker?

0

01 Sep 2026 20:50:54
You're scrambling, Baz.. bit like Leeds at the weekend!
